The worst company to work with. Their service is horrible. They have installed a door for my entrance with reclaimed wood and after the first rain the water stained the interior of the door. I have been back and forth with them for almost a year and their GM Paul continues to promise me a new door and still waiting. I have enough document to take them to court. I am so done with their BS promises. Save yourself the headache and work with Crown Garage Doors. By the way dont bother trying to get a hold of the owner, he wont return your calls. They dont even deserve One star.
I called them for a repair. They didnt do the repair, left the springs unadjusted. Tried to install the wrong circuit board, said it wouldnt work, and then sell me an additional part.
Buyer beware. We ultimately had to file a complaint with the CA State Contractors Licensing board. We paid 50% down (over $12,000) for a new custom garage door and double entry doors in December 2018. We also ordered a custom mailbox earlier this year, received a quote in an email but no official estimate. Communication was horrible after we paid our deposit. We had to leave many voicemails and send many emails before getting a single response. Once we were ready for installation, it took several months to schedule. Everything was supposed to be installed at the same time, however the day before install I was informed that only the garage door was ready to install- this was in August, 8 months after we paid our 50% deposit. After the garage door was installed, we were told that the entry doors & mailbox would be installed several weeks later. The manager that we worked with left the company in September. Since then, no one will respond to our calls, emails or texts. Its almost one year since we paid 50% down.Others in a similar situation should file a complaint - google CA state contractors licensing board complaint to get the link to the site- process is easy, complete form online, print, sign and mail with your documents/proof of deposit. The company will not be able to renew their license if there are outstanding complaints.
I never write reviews, but I have to because this companys support is the worst I have ever seen in my life.It took my assistant 3 weeks of calling this company to get a return phone call. Then, another week to get an appointment. When the scheduled appointment finally comes, they are 4 hours late to my house. They tell me theyve decided to postpone our appointment another hours because they are now grabbing lunch.. making it 5 hours late total. When they get here, they arent even prepared with the step later or told required to get the job done. I live in LA.. and my garage door has been over for almost a month which in my opinion is a security risk.So not chill for this company to be so overly relaxed about everythingggg... clear they dont care about their customers at all.
Just worked with Dario form Zieglers Doors. He was terrific and explained exactly why my fairly new garage door was failing to open consistently. He professionally made all the adjustments and re-programed the opener.Very, very responsive.
We have three very beautiful Ziegler doors, which were very happy with. Installed in 2012 and refinished twice. The last time was 10/18, and in May we noticed the finish was peeling off. I contacted the company in early June 2019, and am still trying to get them to come out and fix an inadequate refinishing job in late August 2019. Adriana is supposed to be their customer service person, but she doesnt return calls. Very disappointing because they make beautiful doors, and we were hoping to use them for a new home were building in Northern CA. Will go somewhere else now, but will keep trying to get some follow-up from them.
Cant say enough great things about working with a quality company providing exceptional customer service. We absolutely love our stunning custom gates and garage doors. They really have transformed the exterior of our home.
I would give negative 100 stars if I could.Ziegler installed our garage doors as a sub-contractor for our home builder. The doors were beautiful. But from the outset, it appeared as if the hardware was laboring under tremendous strain to lift the door. Shortly thereafter, hardware flew off the door. Zielger came out at our builder’s request and insisted that the installation was correct. After our Liftmaster died (well within its warranty period), we obtained a third-party evaluation and learned that the springs installed by Ziegler were insufficient, such that the motor was operating under excessive strain.Ziegler’s mistake was significant in that the springs were rated for a max weight of 478 lbs and our door was 600 lbs. Again, we notified the builder and Ziegler came out to “evaluate.” The gentleman who supervised the work for Ziegler Doors stated that he was hired as the General Manager 6 months ago and was not personally involved with the installation for our builder. Nonetheless, before weighing the door or conducting any kind of evaluation beyond a minimal visual survey, he asserted that he was “100% certain” that this was a “maintenance issue” and not a “specification issue” with regard to the springs (i.e., our fault in failure to maintain rather than Ziegler’s fault in installing the wrong springs). He further stated that if he were Joe’s Garage Door, driving into our neighborhood, he would smell money, and say whatever was necessary to make a “quick buck” and sell us new springs. Additionally, he claimed that he did not need to weigh the door to determine that the springs were adequate because Ziegler routinely installs springs and hardware that are rated to carry a 1200 lb door.I have now had two professional and highly rated garage door companies evaluate Ziegler’s installation. Both reached the same conclusion that the springs are clearly incorrect. Ziegler’s initial installation created a major safety hazard in my home—causing a 600 lb door to slam shut like a guillotine. We are eternally grateful that no one was injured. Ziegler’s repeated refusal to acknowledge the erroneous installation is irresponsible and in bad faith. This company endangered the safety of my family and refused to correct their mistake even when presented with professional opinions and mathematical calculations showing that IPPT (inch pounds per turn) on their spring installation was plainly wrong.
