I received really bad service. Took my car in for an oil change at 8:30am and it’s 5 hours later and my car is still not done. They do not take into consideration a customers waiting time. On top of that there was no cars in the shop being worked on, and most of the employees are sitting down on their phones. Very poor service and won’t recommend anyone coming here unless you want to wait 5hours+ to get an OIL CHANGE DONE.

Long wait due to being understaffed, not the employees fault. Took an uber home to avoid the wait. Returned after they called me letting me know that the installation of my 4 tires was done. They did ask me if I wanted a tire alignment at drop of which costs $99.

A little confused at first. So I had scheduled an appointment with Pep Boys Auto Parts, and when I showed up for the appointment they said my name wasnt on there. Turns out I completely called the wrong place (oops) and so that was my bad. Anywho I was about to leave and hurry my way to the other Pep Boys (which I was totally going to be late for the appointment) when the main man in charge told me I could just get it done here. They were so patient while I gathered all the information about my car, and said it would be 45min - an hour. Normally that would seem long, but they also have a TV in their waiting room so that always helps kill time.

My car gave me the check engine light today and when I asked to see if they could pull the code for me they tried to sell me a service for $100. I work and need my car. I cannot wait till Monday when your tech is available to give me the code and try to up sell me on the repair when you can easily give me the code in 5 minutes, which is offered for Free.

Went in to replace the back tire and told 2 different people about the front, asked to check for a hole and they say yeah dont worry come back tomorrow for brakes. I wake up to a flat front tire. Jamie Ortiz you were the mechanic and incompetent one at that.

The store is a little bit out of the way but had a trip at price on some snow chains that I needed. The employee that help me was extremely courteous and even verified the tire size was the correct ones for me and told me the return policy excetera in advance. He also noticed upon inspection that the product I had shows them may have been returned so he swapped it with one that was definitely new. I also purchased the second item and he in for me it was buy one get one free which I had not noticed on the sign. Overall excellent customer service which is hard to find nowadays.

I am not a frequent visitor of Pep Boys. Visits are mostly for small purchases, when a fuse, a bulb or flasher unit fails. Ive found the staff to be knowledgeable about their products and helpful when asked for advice. Its good to have the part or its number in your possession when looking for a replacement. This helps staff to find the item you need. Ask questions if you are not sure. Advice is free.

I wish I could give more stars to HERTZ car rental and I usually don’t write negative reviews but I didn’t have a great experience. I waited for 3 hours to rent a car with little to no communication from anyone about what was happening. I’m a patient person, but watching people go ahead of me that had been waiting for a fraction of the time that I had was definitely frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this location unless completely necessary.On a side note: the guys that work for Lyft are very helpful, communicative, and have great customer service skills.

I used to like pep boys, I’ve been there a lots of time to have my car fix, one evening I went there to get my oil changed they told me they can’t open the cover cap they want me to leave my car overnight, I can’t got to work tommorow they sold me a another car cover cap also Toyota it cost not that much the cover cap but still making me pay more they keep looking for something wrong with my car, my car is ok it’s been done every time my car needed

Edger was a life saver today. My car wouldnt start this morning so I had to Uber to work. I couldnt get a jump start until my daughter came home from her job. I was so worried that I would be without a car for another work day or worse. When I arrived, Edgar told me to go to the service department and he told me to hurry as they were closing in 10 minutes. I went over and when I asked them to check my battery, they were not happy. They tested it, but when they found that I needed a new one, they refused to stay open even five minutes late to install the battery I was planning to buy, Edgar was so nice. He told me not to worry. Said he would install it for me. I would recommend the store, but ask for Edgar!

I took my car in to get new front struts and the CV axle shaft. This was on Monday morning, its now 11:00 pm Wednesday night and they still have not been able to install the axle shaft correct - many excuses. This part on this side was replaced the first time in under two hours and worked fine. They gave it two me on Tuesday afternoon at about 4:00 pm, drove it less than a mile and the car just stopped moving, could shift gears but no movement forward or reverse. Got towed back to the same shop and the tow truck driver noticed when he picked me up that the transmission was leaking. That has never before. This fiasco has completely messed up my plans for 4th of July. I honestly dont know if they have the experience or expertise to complete the job. Did get me a rental car. By far the worst experience I have ever had in 30+ years in getting autos worked on. May have to have the car towed towed to someone who does know what theyre doing. Would not go there to air in tires in the future. Will also post this experience on numerous car forums as a warning.

It pains me to give this place even one but I guess it is the bare minimum in order to leave a review at all. From the moment you walk in the door youre instantly being chased by one of the simple-minded employees and today the star of the show would be the elderly woman working the register in the front. Shes going to catch me at something she is certain of it. The whole reason Im in there is to find possibly some sturdy clear plastic to cover up my broken window in the back. However, based on the fact that my finances are in a stressful state right now I was going to have a peek at the owners manual for my truck and see if theres a possibility I can do this all by myself meaning replace the window. Once I had finished looking for the book for my make and model I had the book in arms along with my purse and I had started to make my way over to possibly plastic or some window shades or something to make this more bearable because its supposed to rain tonight. This woman has asked me not once not twice but three times if Im finding everything okay in a time period of approximately 15 minutes. Now if Im not finding everything okay by the third request I would state that I must either be mentally retarded or brain-dead. However she persisted to ask me only so she can get near me so she can keep an eye on me . Theres nothing more irritating than a self-proclaimed private detective who is not so private after all stalking you and following you around the store hoping youll put something in your bag or in your shirt so she can catch you and make the arrest of the century right? These people are such a pain in my ass I cant stand it shop in these places I can never enjoy myself and find what Im looking for. And all I do know is Ill never gone this Pep Boys again because it happens every single time I come in here. And I can count on one hand the times Ive been in here. Its time to focus on your job and not on every one of the employees like theyre out to steal you and Rob you blind. Its embarrassing its degrading and a royal pain in the ass get a life people you look ridiculous Im ashamed of you and embarrassed for you

I highly recommend people stay away and dont buy parts from this store. Every time that you have to come back and claim a part guarantee they always com up with excuses to not change defective parts.They come with:The guy who test parts is sick or isnt working today.Machine that we test with parts is broken.Helpless manager with attitude (she always right) I think workers been trained same way.Defective starter lent me stranded 3 times and paid mechanic to replaced them in less than 2 months 😤😤😤 f@$!# this place.

I come here for Lyft services. This is a review for the location, and Lyft help desk center.This Pep Boys location is easy to find but not so easy to get to as you have to traverse through DT Santa Ana. Theres always a lot of traffic and/ or construction happening.The Lyft help desk is almost always busy but the service members sont ever make you feel rushed. Normally Im quoted about 15 to 30 minutes and can be finished up in around an hour.Overall, nice location with knowledgable staff. Good job :)

Thought I needed new brakes so I brought my car in. The technician showed me what my brakes looked like and let me know I was good for a couple more months when he couldve easily told me I need breaks immediately. He even gave me a place to go get some good used tires.

Not a negative review writer unless it’s necessary. I called, punched in the number for the parts department Andrew the phone rang and rang, occasionally this automated voice would say please hold but other than that nothing. Hung up, called back, same routine. After about ten mins of this I called and let the machine take me to an operator (a lady that’s on the floor in the business) I explain what’s been going on, about half way through she said to me I can’t do anything for you, doesn’t say bye nothing just transfers me back to the endless ringer. The only reason I’m writing this is so hopefully the lady gets fires for incompetence. I mean come on how many customers a day are you loosing by having someone like that answer your phones.

Went in to purchase & install a pair of headlights due to my current pair going out. As I was parking, I recieved an email from PepBoys about a promotional discount. I purchased a pair of Phillips headlights & had them installed. As I was paying, the cashier asked me to show him the coupon email I mentioned to him. He entered the code & said it wasnt valid. He tried a 2nd time & still nothing. I asked him if he would still honor it even with me showing him the email was barely an hour old, & expires on 3/31/19, he stated he couldnt. I told him ok no big deal.Once my car was ready, I checked to see if the lights were installed properly, & they were completely off. The driver side was too high & the passenger side was too low. I had to have them readjusted. I had this exact same issue previously here & had to go back to get them adjusted.

Dont use the service dept at the store on Lincoln ave in Anaheim 2 times now I have gone for a brake job only for them to not do a final check before releasing your car back to you and have had to go back to have it fixed again yesterday 5july18 had front brakes done mechanic did not tighten a caliper bolt and I ended up at the store in Santa Ana to have them tell the noise was from a missing bolt the the Anaheim store did not tighten to spec had to leave the car over night and lost 200 dollars because of it. But the Santa Ana store was great in getting repaired and getting me home and back to the shop the next day

Extremely poor customer service in this Pep Boys location. I Called in Today at parts dept on 01/04/2021 and been on hold for over 40 min. I had to call multiple times and still no answer. I would never recommend this location or purchase anything from this Santa Ana location. The representatives simply should re trained or get new staff. The Rep name is Elena

The man was really nice and upbeat, I was actually surprised and thankful for such a kind and engaging attitude displayed from him. The lady was nice too, and she explained the Lyft guide book very well during the orientation. I told Juan I worked during the day and he replied, take it to another pepboys they can help you there. So I guess CUSTOMER SERVICE is not their number 1, 2 or 3rd priority. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!! SINGLE WOMEN dont leave your car without signing ONLY what you want done to your car!I went in for a diagnostic with my ten year old daughter and they heard me say at least three times that i couldnt​ fix the radiator until february. They said they would finish the diagnostic and when i came back i found out my car got a new radiator they would not return my car keys until i paid half a grand for the new radiator. I called the police and they lied to the police. They said I gave verbal authorization before the diagnostic was finished.The police found it hard to believe a single mom female. My uncle later told me that my aunt went in by herself to a san diego pep boys and they lied to her too and tried to rip her off AND steal her money.

3 weeks ago I Went in for new waterpump and 2 belts... They told me 2-3 hours . dropped of my car at 11am and went back at 3pm and still not ready. I sat there till 5:30pm untill it was ready. Another customer was there for brakes since 10:30am and he didnt leave till almost 5pm. Crazy!! They werent busy. but they lost a customer cause I will not go back again or recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Not to mention they way over charge. Tried to charge me almost $800 dollars. I had to price match . anyways I was not happy .

WARNING : DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE. POOR SERVICE AND CONS.I took my car for a tire repair since it had a slow puncture instead they said the tire has no nail and I need to replace my back two tires. I said i cant since my tires are still in good condition, so I left. I decided to go to the Orange pepboys, they were very welcoming, informative and fast. They checked my tire and found a nail in it. I asked them if I needed to replace the tires they said I dont need to replace the tires for the next one year... Dont bother calling. I was on hold for 7 minutes trying different departments to get a hold of someone but no one answers their phones. When I was in store the place looked sleezy and dirty. I felt very uncomfortable there.
