Ive been going to Ammo Brothers since they opened their first store. With the ammo shortage, they really need to do a better job on their website to reflect actual availability in their individual stores. It really sucks to drive to a specific store just to find out that their website is inaccurate. Their own signs outside of the store say that their website is wrong and apologize for it.UpdateSince my last review Ive been told by staff and others that theyve updated their inventory online so I am changing my review to a more positive one.
Your own website says youre open on Sundays. As I arrived at the parking lot I saw two other cars leaving the parking lot after looking at your door. Your phones also just go directly to voicemail. I would say Im surprised youre still in business but I guess theres not much competition for guns nearby. Im finding another place to do my business.
Came in to pickup different types of rounds, and they had everything I needed, despite the current ammo situation. All the staff seemed knowledgable and friendly. They also seem to have a ton of other firearms and outdoor-type merchandise. Great store all around.

Terrible customer service. They do not answer calls. They do not reply to email. When I asked about a gun in person, the employee laughed and told me to get a more expensive gun that he recommended, then told me my reasons for wanting the cheaper gun were irrelevant. Go somewhere else.

I purchase a firearm online on 7/29. Still waiting for it. My friend bought his the same day, he received it and is already going through the CCW process. Store cannot give me an ETA. When I bought the firearm, the confirmation showed ”it may take upto 4 days to ship... Almost a month later and no one will give me an ETA.
Go somewhere else. Terrible customer service, staff * products

I put a rifle on hold and order a beretta back in September I wanted to DROS both of them together, I have been patiently waiting for it then last month I get a voicemail that I had 30 days to pay off the rifle and dros it or they would cancel my order and charge me a restocking fee. I tried calling several times and their phones are not being answered, so I went in person and they are telling me that its still on order... I gave a down payment in September on both items but it seems like they were lost and couldnt find my info on the computer, I dont think I would do business here anymore just for the fact that they dont want to answer their phone and I have to drive 40 minutes each way. sportsmans warehouse being busier than them still take the time to answer phone calls and help customers.
I wish I could give zero star. This is the best place to experience bureaucratic state-owned enterprise kind of service. The only thing you are supposed to do here is buy whatever they offer you at their price. You are not supposed to ask question. You are not supposed to reason. You are not supposed to complaint. This is the most anti-gun gun shop Ive ever visited. I dont understand why people line up in the morning just to beg for two boxes of random 9mm or 308 from them. I used to be one of them until I realize there are plenty of good ammo at other shops like LAX ammo without any quota. The only reason this AmmoBros is still in business is that they have a FFL and thats it. This is not a gun shop a gun supporter should visit!
I finally went to Ammo Bros.in Santa Ana.It was a cool place I bought my CQC holster for my 92fs Beretta today & a new speed loader.The only thing they were completely tapped out on Ammo & including reloads.But overall it’s a good store for gear.

First time gun buyer. Arrived I will say I had a great start to shopping around, the store is huge. Alec was the first person,he was awesome!! Honestly my review would be 5 stars if I didnt have to deal with any others.He had great customer service,went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my decision. Once deciding I was passed on to paperwork side of things, had Carlos help me with that. He was very friendly had great customer service as well. I went in wanting a specific gun & they didnt have anymore, I settled for second best, then Alec ran over told me he found one of the guns that I wanted. I was so happy! I paid for it in full that day was excited to come back after my 10 day cool down. I made sure with Carlos before leaving that everything was all good & he ensured me that everything was taken care of. I return for my pick up 10 days later. That is when it went downhill. Dominic who helped me when I came to pick up my gun told me that we are going to have to process background again b/c we put the wrong serial number in &its not the correct gun. I was very confused because I know that I double checked with Carlos before leaving that first day. Carlos happened to be working that day, I called him over, asked him why this happened.I made sure to check before leaving so why is there a mistake? Carlos apologized, said it was his fault, he should have taken more time to make sure it was correct.. He did seemsincere about the apology.I was so upset. I was looking forward to Getting it,, to be told we have to start all over again was frustrating. Dominic not apologetic the entire time I was with him. He seemed to really not care at all treated me as if this was my fault, which wasnt the case. I asked to speak to a manager, he told me general manager isnt here hes the only one that can do something for you. So I signed the paperwork and left to wait another 10 days. Fast forward to my second set of 10 day waiting period is up. I go to pick up the gun, as Im standing in line waiting Carlos is there once again Alec went grab my gun out of the back for me and put it next to Carlos said you have to do it man and Carlos said no go get Wilson I dont want to do it Alec then pat him on the back and said you can do it just take care of herCarlos refused said No have Wilson do it. I said to both of them Im not that difficult to deal with guys. I couldnt believe that he would say that right in front of me! I was completely shocked, hurt that they would say that right in front of my face. Wilson comes out & he has the worst customer service.He was so rude, honestly very sexist to me because I am a girl. He didnt say hello or anything when he walked up. Wouldnt make eye contact. I asked him for some dummy rounds for the inconvenience,he came back with 4 containers of ammo said u get 15% off.asked to speak to Justin the general manager, he went to go get him,came back without him,gave me one container of ammo on the house, which made me a little bit more at ease, honestly I wanted to speak to Justin, but I moved signed a bunch of paperwork. Wilson asked if I knew how to use the gun asked me to show him. As I was showing him I said to him my boyfriend has purchased a gun here &didnt have to show you. (Also everytime Ive been there Ive never seen anyone have to show how to use it) Are you making me do this because I am a girl? He completely ignored me. I repeated the question, he said no I randomly have people do it. I have used the gun I purchased many times, completed what he asked of me, then he says You Failed then showed me how to do it. I did do it correct b/c he did the same thing.I was so furious b/c I knew he wanted to catch me doing it wrong, I knew that I didnt. I felt that he really just wanted to say You failed. He was on a power trip. When leaving said thank you and he responded with yep. Honestly customer service Is pathetic. Usually you make your guest excited to purchase their first fire arm.. Isnt the goal to make people want to come back? I will never be back

I would have confronted him directly if there weren’t so many people around. I looked at all the negative reviews prior going to the store, now it looks like they are all true...Sad experience.
Negative experience today. I was first in line when I got there waited for at least 20 minutes to get in. Mean while the egotistic employee answering the front entrance was more interested In people picking up vs people who wanted to buy. He did not greet anyone and came off as impolite. Just because it’s a gun store does not mean you don’t need to have manners. I just wanted to buy a box of ammo and be on my way. I told the employee you already let in at least 10 people before me, when is it going to be my turn? He showed no empathy for my time and no respect for my business. As a business major and a manager myself. I would never employ someone with that poor attitude. I will be taking my business else where; where it’s appreciated.
Checking their prices on line & ended up not going as the prices were way too high.

Nasty people. Two employees at the door did not know what import means, and also both of them did not know what type of guns were available at the store, yet one of them told me that the only person behind the counter will not answer million questions, I am certain this employee does not even know how many zeros are in a million, unless they sell potatoes at this store customers will have questions when making a thousand dollars or more of a purchase. This was morning time and approximately ten customers in the store, but they had to be rude by nature because gun sales are high so their true nasty colors are showing. A professional business is always consistent with customer service regardless of sales volume.
Amazing staff. Amazing selection. Everyone was beyond helpful and not hard pressed sales. It made for a good day and I walked away with a fantastic buy. Definitely recommend this shop for anyone in the market.

I was at the Santa Ana store last Thursday at 5:40 and was turned away by a very rude young man wearing round black glasses. He said they had too many people in the store and they close at 6. The only reason they get 3 stars from me is that when we went back on Friday, we were helped by a gentleman I think his name was Adam who totally redeemed the customer service reputation. However, when we being checked out by the same rude kid that turned us away the day before he was coughing all over and not wearing a mask. I dont know who is running that place, but you definitely need to get rude guy with the round black frame glasses tested for COVID-19.
Charges $50 minimum fee for ammo transfers. What a joke...don’t give these greedy thieving scumbags your money. Not to mention, their store employees are incredibly rude. I have to qualify this comment as one individual was particularly helpful and had a good overall vibe, but the other guy who came over to “help” had a frown the entire time and seemed like he hated his job and takes his frustration out on customers. I hope everyone can be like the one happy and helpful dude.
Bring your patience, sense of humor and wear a hat cuz the entry lines are long, paperwork takes forever and best to call ahead before you go if youre looking for 9mm, .45 and .22 ammo. Gun pickups are slow now too bc DOJ is way backed up on the background checks.

Millions of out of work Californians- hire one to take customer calls.A business that does not answer phone calls is not servicing customers and will not last. Spend your money with a business that cares enough to engage with its customers.

I called this store to see if they were open various times and no response. So I decided to go down to the shop from riverside because online it said they have the dp-12 available. Well I was greeted with a sign saying “pick up only, no new sales”. Well that’s a waste of time and money. Very unprofessional!

Came here just to see what they had and right away I was asked if I needed help finding anything very nice. I also didnt know this but they also do gun safety tests and are very helpful with how to find the study guide and I took the test they laminated it and gave it back I was done in maybe 5 mins than browsing for pistols and ak47s and the older fellow with the sick goatee helped me and my comrades out by walking us through a couple of options and He even asked if I wanted to hold and look at it too I dont know why all these comments are saying they are bad service but for my first time in this shop it was amazing definitely coming back here instead of Bass pro shop soo close and they got a better selection!!
When I came to buy a gun, I was introduced to greenfield xd with a full set of spare parts attached but when I came to receive it there was no spare box but only guns and two magazines. They have discredited the Amoro Bros store

Nice big store with a good selection. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and can really help you to find whats right for you. I could spend hours in the store just looking at everything they have. I would really recommend this place to anyone who is looking to purchase a firearm.
Great guns at decent prices, who could ask for more?The staff are very helpful and will not try to force a gun on you like other gun stores will. Generally the advice youll get from them is also very clear and good such as if you are deciding on a handgun they will tell you to go to a range, rent the ones youve been checking out, and spend a while firing it to make sure you actually do want that gun, and not another, or the other ones youve been looking at.
Place is HUGE! Had to wait a bit but plenty to look at in the mean time.Person helping me never heard of 44 special ammo...he has heard of 38 special but never 44.Had to send my gun in to manufacturer for repair twice for something knowledgeable reps could have helped me with from start
Pretty bad experience. I was there wanting to buy a shotgun. I asked him questions on a couple of shotguns they had. They gave me an attitude like I should already know what I want and if I dont, I should leave because I am wasting their time. They dont like questions and they know anything about sales. They are just cashiers.I also witnessed one of the workers scream at a customer in the store. Super confrontational.They also do not answer their phones. They werent busy in the store and the phones still goes to voicemail.I wont be coming back. Sorry.
Super friendly staff. Sales person, manager even the lady at the check out was nice. Came in to buy a mp shield right before they closed found out it was last day for rebate. Didnt even know about a rebate. I forgot my firearm safety card so they let me pay for it first so I can get the rebate and come in the next day to do the paper work . I told my wife to go in and get it too and they stay open till the last min for her .
Placed an online order, 3+ weeks, no response and refuse to answer any communication (phone/email/chat) but charged my credit card nearly $700.I echo the rude staff. I waited 2 hours in line (3/13) and just asked, hey how much was that last gun in a transaction the worker spent like 40 mins on. He rudely responded that he didnt know flippantly.Also saw people super cheating at the firearm certificate test, using their phone for the answers the whole time.

This place is awesome!!! Huge on inventory, well organized and clean. The coolest thing is that its very close to my house, like 3-5 minutes away. Employees are very nice. I been here twice just to walk around and both times i ended up buying something for my AR15 or my .45. Its because they have so much stuff that i always find something that i might need in the future. Lol. Keep it up

It’s really unfortunate, but the people that work here have piss poor attitudes. They like to act like they’re above people because they work at a gun store, like that’s something difficult to do. Especially the Asian kid behind the counter when I asked about a specific rifle and his response was “those are expensive”, like I don’t know that? The price is immaterial, I wanted to purchase one. And some other bigger guy not even wearing his uniform playing on his phone. I’ve also tried calling this location before and had no one answer, then on another occasion they put me on hold and just didn’t pick the phone back up. If only they could improve their customer service, I’d want to shop here, but for now I’ll find somewhere else.

If you ask they will definitely help you out. The Largest Gun Store in Southern California and its cool.
Know this place from my cousin. My first impression is the store layout, its very clean, presentable, look professional and rich inventory. Second, the staff friendliness, they know what theyre doing and last is cool manager, Justin, he gave me really good deal from price match on my Springfield Amory 1911 and super happy with my shopping experience. I would recommend this place for whoever wants to purchase a firearm in the future.

Meh, I waited there for 15 minutes before someone came to help me. Once someone came to help me, I asked to hold a few guns (I like to take my time and like to examine everything before making a purchase). I guess the guy got impatient with me because he said that he cant show me any more because he has packages to unload or something? Whatever, I left the store and bought somewhere else.

What’s worse than a 10 day waiting period? A 20 day waiting period! These guys never processed my DROS from a gun show and when I showed up today for pick up they informed me it would have to be resubmitted

Jim. I went in today to pick up a few things, knew exactly what i wanted and where to find it because the store is always impeccably maintained. But got side tracked by the multi-tools on my way to the cashier. Jim, noticing my curiosity immediately came over to offer his assistance. He was polite, personable, helpful and accommodating. Answering all my questions as best he could and checked with his coworkers for the ones he couldnt. It was almost closing time (when retail customer service in general is usually at its worst ) but not Jim. I was so impressed with the experience my curiosity turned into a purchase, i walked out with my odds and ends and a brand new gerber multi-tool, which they sell for half what you pay on the Gerber website. And ammo bros got a new loyal customer. Thank you Jim.

Good store with good selection but please please please, if you are going to run a gun store make sure your employees understand and practice proper safe firearm handling. That means: check to make sure its unloaded before you hand me the weapon, dont muzzle sweep the entire store and then hand me the unchecked weapon with the muzzle pointing at my gut, dont muzzle the fire arm with your hand, dont look down the barrell of the firearm from the muzzle end, dont aim at random points of the show room while customers walk through your line of potential fire. I normally wouldnt write a review but this happened to me twice, I didnt say anything the first time but I definitely called out the sales associate the second visit. I ended up buying a gun for about 20 bucks more than your prices from another establishment because I knew that I would feel safe walking into their very professional environment. Yes, it takes a few extra seconds for them to chamber check every time they hand me a gun and yes it may be inconvenient to have to sight the weapon to the corner of the wall where it meets the floor but, I know that the practices they show and enforce are teaching the future gun owners in the shop how to responsibly handle and operate firearms. A quick safety course could do some good and would highly boost my confidence of what kind of potential the store has.

Called the Santa Ana store spoke with Justin. Advised Justin of the experience that I had had at the Perris store the day before. I advised Justin that I needed to share that experience with possibly a corporate officer. At that time I was advised that the corporate headquarters really has nothing to do with each individual storefront. Thus,... it appears to me then, if theres no way I can share my experience with a corporate officer... we have branches running amok with no accountability. This Marine will not be back. And I must admit that that I am embarrassed for the owner and Im embarrassed for the person who trained and raised him and when I get to hell Im going to ask this that person where he dropped the ball exactly.And F.Y.I. The speed loader for the RUGER GP-100 IS NOT the same one as the one for the RUGER POLICE/SECURITY SIX. (Even though it works, It comes in contact with the frame and does not allow for a SMOOTH, SPEEDY reload. But Im not going to return it. Was NOT happy today when i went to buy ammo. I give it 2 stars because 9mm was decently priced and the store was clean and nice inside. BUT, i lookes online to see what ammo they had in stock and then i went in and they didnt have most of the ammo i was lookihg for. Website said there was no 22, but there was plenty when i went in. Honestly, there needs to be better correlation between the website and store. 223 ammo was very high priced.
