I cannot recommend this company. I signed a purchase agreement with Jon back in February 2018 for a wood stove and a gas stove. He has still not delivered on the agreement and will not contact me. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau which he also did not respond to. Seems like it used to be a good company that is having major struggles or is headed out of business.
After reading their reviews, I believed this would be the right place to purchase a fireplace. The sales person, Tom showed us the different fire places, so we could make the right choice. Paid half for a down payment. Now to get it installed was a problem. To get a date for installation (it took at least 6 or more phone calls) The last time I called was at 9 am on a Friday and always received the same answer. Except for two bad weather days. I do not have control over the installers. I told them I wanted a date and time the installers will be there to complete the project. About an hour later I was called and told they will be at my place in an hour to hour and a half. (It was closer to two hours.) I will say the installers worked hard and were very nice. They did not finish, so one of them was to come back at noon on Saturday. Showed up at 2:30. I am not a happy about the whole install, but do believe they will complete it. In order to make plans to be home for the installation, NC Fireplaces needs to give firm date and time. They do not seem able to do that.The job is completed to my satisfaction. They did respond to my issues. I would recommend them because of their response and the people that work there.
No response after email or phone calls. All I needed was to install a 4500.00+ fireplace. Gee!! Free money for them but NO customer service. Go somewhere else. Past customers tell me once you pay they Never come back.
If youre looking for good, reliable, and helpful anything regarding fireplaces and their installation youre in the right place. I wouldnt hesitate to call the folks here at NC Fireplace.
We built a very custom home and could have purchased the fireplace online. However, we wanted it to be right and the sales rep assured me he has been measuring for fireplaces for years and therefore I trusted him. He came out and measured and then we waited over 6 weeks for our double sided fireplace, multiple times they said it hadn’t come in yet. I wondered if they were just too busy to install. It held up our entire inspection and building process and cost me an extra month’s interest on a construction loan. Once they finally came out the fireplace did not fit!!!!! No kidding. I had to have the framer come back and tear out part of the framing and reframe. To this day the fireplace is still to thin for the place and has caused needing to redo the Sheetrock and make adjustments to the tile. I would have been much better to just order it online. I could not have done worse. Now fast forward to months later no one returns calls or answers the phones and my three fireplaces still do not have the front pieces. The fireplaces look awful and I have received awful service and not even so much as an apology for the mismeasure and lack of service. If you think you are paying a professional here, you’re not, just measure it yourself, trust me you can’t do worse.
