Its really hard to find jewelers that you can trust. Especially since the Kay jewelers closest to my house kind of disappointed my wife and myself. But this store restored our faith and confidence in the Kays marquee. Cynthia, the store manager, was knowledgeable, experienced, and a real pleasure to work with. She helped us in a manner of which I am certain she herself would want to be treated! My wife is completely happy with her experience at this store location, which makes me a happy guy. It may be a bit further from home, but the way we were treated is worth the drive. Cynthia is our new jewelry lady!!

Kays was top notch for customer service. I dont usually leave reviews but I am so happy with my purchase. Carlos helped me update my wifes wedding ring with a much better quality of diamond than I originally planned on purchasing. Thank you for the knowledge.

I have the diamond warranty on my wedding rings and the last two times the rude female employee ( her name starts with a C) treated me so badly I am going to go all the way to Altamonte from now on. Last time she totally ignored me until I spoke up and asked why she wasnt helping me and today she ignored what I told her and argued that I didnt purchase my rings there. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong when all I was doing was getting my rings checked out and cleaned for the warranty. So rude. She has no business working with people. And btw my rings were purchased at that particular Kay Jewelers. She doesnt know how to look up anything or do her job as she rudely said to me. If I could give an even lower number I would.

Very unprofessional and ghetto. The Indian lady working was on a FaceTime call while I was asking for help and she proceeded to put the phone on the table in front of us (call still on) while she showed me a ring. Would not recommend to my worst enemy, won’t be spending money here EVER, let alone step foot into this place. Try the Orlando area, much better customer service and nicer area!

If I could give a zero, I would. Picked a repair up here and one of the small diamonds in my ring looked like it had been replaced with a lower quality. Ok... things happen. However, the manager told me I had to drive back to the original store (40 min away) if I wanted it fixed. Well, I did not... she sent it out after I was pretty direct. Now I have come back to pick up my ring, which they called about and said was ready, and the store isnt even open. The website says 630, its 435 and they have left for the day. They could have at least told us if they were closing before the scheduled time. I wasted time and money to come out here. Then when I called customer service, they dont know why theyre closed either. Do not shop here. This company has gone down the drain.

I needed something special, something that no one has tried on before, my man Carlos showed me a pair of diamonds that were close to perfect. I wanted them mounted a certain way and he had the vision I had, I got them and he had them shipped and made for me. My wife still to this day is pleased with what I got her. I appreciate the time they gave me, very kind staff that wanted me to be satisfied.

I have been a customer of this store for many years. I one of the mane reasons I only shop at this store is because of the customer service I receive from Mr. Carlos Smith. Mr. Smith is an asset to this store.I was just made aware that Carlos is no longer works for Kays any longer. And the replacement for him was not a very customer service friendly kind of person. And really seem to have little knowledge as to the jewelry there trying to sale to there customers.I have to say to Kays that in my opinion letting an employee like Carlos Smith go was a very big mistake. And the Sanford store will suffer from this lost.

Love this Sanford location and have been coming here for over 6 years. The staff is super nice even though I mainly deal with Carlos for all of my purchases and cleanings/inspections. They are all very knowledgeable and have never made me feel like I have to purchase something. Kays will be my only jewelry store I go to. Thank you Carlos and team!

I have shopped at several Kay jewelers ! The sanford location was the best ! Carlos is the best not only did he take the time to to help with my purchases he became a friend ! Reaching out to wish me happy birthday, happy fathers, happy thanksgiving, and merry Christmas . Even though I am sure he has done this with many customers it made me feel important and not just a sale . I can honestly say Carlos is the foundation of that store . I purchased my wifes engagement ring, wedding ring and another ring from Carlos Smith. He got us the best price, answered all of our questions and was very professional and courteous. My wife stops in all the time to get her rings cleaned and Carlos always takes care of her, we wont go to anyone else. I know these reviews are timeless and employees move on or get promoted... but if you go to this Kay within the coming months ask for Carlos. Carlos is the kind of guy who will make you feel like an important client, get you the best deal he can and take all the time you need to make the decision. If you dont buy it today, Carlos is just happy knowing he helped you. In general this Kay Jewelers is very clean/organized and located near the Habaneros Mexican restaurant so when your wife keeps you there for 3 hours you can walk right over to have a Corona!

My Star Wars necklace was brought in for a cleaning and repair. Sterling silver chain, 3 pendants, one with a small diamond setting. This was brought to this Kay jewelers location on 02/15/2020, two days prior to my birthday so I could have it fixed. The cleaning and soldering was paid for as the chain of the necklace was broken. The receipt provided a “promise date” of 03/04/2020. That, I suppose, is a reasonable length of time to send my property off to be repaired. They stated they would call when the necklace was done and ready to be picked up. I never got that call. Not only did I not get that call on the 4th when supposedly the necklace was due, but I didn’t get a call period for another week. I finally reached out to their location on 03/13/2020. The gentleman I spoke with put me on hold and explained that the guy that originally helped was not there and he would have to call me back. Never received that call either. I called a few hours later, asking where the necklace was and why it had been so long? The gentleman explained the necklace would be ready on 03/15/2020 and would again CALL to let him know when to pick it up. Again never received this call. I called THEM on 03/16/2020. The necklace was finally ready, and ready to be picked up. I picked up the necklace, which on surface value looked clean, repaired to satisfaction, and perfect. I went home with it, perfectly content, if a little annoyed by their inability to make a phone call. When arriving home the necklace was taken out of the box it was placed in. The chain immediately snapped in half, broken. I paid 100 dollars to have this repaired and cleaned, only for it to snap again in my hands? Absolutely outrageous! Not only was their service lacking, but their repair work was sub par as well. This will be brought back into their location and I want an explanation...why did it take so long, when there was obviously no regard to quality or satisfaction? Awful experience.

The ONLY reason I shop at Kays is Carlos Smith! He is the most professional and caring person. My wife adores him. We are always greeted with a big smile. I will not shop anywhere else as long as Carlos is there! Thanks Carlos!I am changing this to one star. I went to the Sanford store and asked if he was working today. They said no, is there something I can help you with? I said No thanks, I deal with Carlos. They said he is on Furlough. I asked do you know when he is coming back? They said they didn’t know. As we left my wife was so upset they were lying to us that she yelled that Carlos was at the FL Mall store and they should tell his customers the truth. The manager has complete knowledge of Carlos’s situation and chooses to lie to the customer instead of telling us where he was working. The fact of the matter is that everyone in that store was jealous of Carlos and how customer after customer would come in asking for him. He was a great asset to Kay and now I found out he has left the company. Kay has done Carlos an injustice. Everyone should know about it.

Not a good store, not that Kays Jewelers isnt good but this particular store is not very good. I purchased a Very expensive engagement ring in December, there was a problem with it after the ring was resized. The girl there was so helpful and ordered a customer one right sized directly from Leo. That was great. But then now, May when the ring arrived the original ring was in Kay Jewelers possession for repair that another store found loose diamonds on I asked for the ring to be transferred to that store. The manager there flat out told me nope. The other store said yes it can and so did corporate. But the manager flat out refused for whatever reason. We went to pick up the new one and exchange it once the original came back and the manager was a stoic weird guy. Just a weird experience and one that will not be repeated at that store. Anyhow, if youre looking for a Kays to buy from the one in Orange City is GREAT. Those ladies are so helpful and kind and not weird about everything.

To my surprise she turned out to be very understanding, easy going, and not pushy, while also remaining to be very professional. I immediately felt at ease explaining the reason for my visit. Carlos is wonderful. That being said the rest of my experience has been a nightmare. I purchased a mothers ring in Sept 2018. It kept coming back from jeweler incorrect - size, wrong stones etc. Customer service gave me a $100 gift card for my trouble. I did not receive the ring until almost Jan 2019, and it was still incorrect. it only had 2 birthstones instead of 3 I ordered. But I accepted it anyway. Within a month one of the stones fell out. So again I have to wait over 3 weeks for repair. They did add my additional stone. It is now May 2019 and another stone has fallen out! I will have to wait another 3 plus weeks for repair. I called customer service and was told that this is a separate incident since I was compensated previously and that was what the warranty was for! He didnt apologize, offer a solution, nothing!!! I would not recommend ordering from them, they dont stand behind their work.

Be sure to ask for him, he will answer all of your questions as well as point you to what youre looking for.Each time I have been to Kays the service I received from Carlos Smith has been unbelievably informative, to the point of wanting to further purchase more than I can actually afford. We had a wonderful experience with Carlos! This is the only Kay Jewelers we will deal with, after having negative experiences with a couple of the others. Carlos was quick to remedy our problem and has always treated us with the utmost respect and kindness. He is professional and takes the time to listen to his customers! So I really like this Kay!! I initially wanted a wedding band that I found in another Kay location that I really wanted as my wedding band. I went to this one, and they didnt have it. So I put another ring on layaway. I talked with one of the associates, and he said that he can refund the ring that I had on layaway and make a special order for the exact ring that I wanted in the first place, gave me a good discount because he wanted to and was very nice, and I have a $100 certificate for buying my fiancés wedding band back in December. I am only paying a few extra dollars more than the other ring, and it is what I wanted!! Highly recommend this store to anyone!! :)

I have been a Kays customer for 13yrs.I recently up-graded a necklace to a much nicer one. I liked my experience with the sales man. he helped me design a nice setting for my diamond.I wait two weeks and its ready to pick up. the new stone looks nice in the new setting. the chain however was to be made shorter and re-rhodium platted. that was not done. have to turn it in to have them re-due what they forgot to do the first time. which leaves me worried and with a lack of trust for the people that work at the Sanford Kays. another week goes by and its time to go see my necklace. I notice that the chain doesnt look clean. cleaning and re rhodium platting it did not make it look shinny and new again. I try it on to make sure I am happy with how it hangs. I am aware that it is going to take a few tries to get the right length. it wasnt quite at the right spot yet so I happily hand it over to the man and he makes a suggestion of clasping it in a certain spot to make the chain shorter. I like the length it sits at after his suggestion. I take it back off. give it to him. he says he can shorten it now. he comes back out, attempts to clean it some more with some jewelry brightener. I thanked him for trying. he shows me that he has tied a knot in the chain to get it to sit where I want it. I try it on and at that point I am not happy. I have a ugly knot in my still dirty chain with my new stone set in its new setting. the man that is helping me stares at me . not wanting to make a big scene and on the verge of a nervous breakdown I tell him as nice as I can that I am not happy. he then tells me I can always up grade my chain.when I came into the store 3 weeks ago and spent $x,xxx.xx i thought that I was upgrading my whole necklace. I told the sales man that I was ready to upgrade my necklace. I let him know that I need a bigger diamond, a smaller hardware/setting around the diamond and a shinny chain. new everything. He deals with jewelry more than I do. I trusted that when he suggested to just have my chain cut and cleaned that it would look as good as new. I think he should of told me then while I was spending money that my chain was not going to look good with the new stone and setting . again he is suppose to be the professional.I ended up leaving the store with the necklace in my pocket when I picked it up from service after i told the man i can not ware it in the condition it was in. I feel like dump fool for leaving the store not happy and spending all that money.

Bad customer experience, once you buy something they dont care at all about you. highly suggest new management I spoke on the phone with a female manager about a repair because not only does their jewelry suck but so does their management. she was very rude when I was calling to have a problem solved about my ring which was a fault on their end, not mine.

Carlos is unprofessional, arrogant and cavalier. He doesnt treat you like a customer. Not sure if he realizes that the money his customers spend pays his salary. Expect to have to go through corporate for this store to value you as a customer. I always preferred Kay for jewelry until I came to this store. They would not address a faulty clasp after I purchased an upgrade and warrenty. Carlos is confrontational and problematic. Christina is better but still not skilled at turning an unfortunate customer experience around without corporate becoming involved. Even when I told her I would contact corporate, she offered her card. Im extremely pleased with how corporate fixed the stores aweful customer service.

I do not recommend this place at all!!! Orange city is better than this kays!!! This kays is HORRIBLE WITH INSPECTIONS!!! They checked my pieces and said I had no loose stones and when they cleaned it I had 3 of them fall out of my ring!!! This was the 3rd time they did this!!! No longer will be going to this kays. You want better service? Go to Orange city kays! They caught my stones being loose and sent it off to be fixed. In Sandford They always seem sluggish and rude each time I am in. I dont mind the 25 minute drive from my house to go to Orange city kays. At least they do their job right.

After dropping off my watch to be repaired and was told i would be called with how much repairs would cost i never heard back until i got a email saying that it was ready for pickup. I thought to myself it must be no charge since no one got my approval . To my surprise when i get to the store they tell me the price is almost half of what i paid for the watch. Then i get questioned about someone had to have called me . nope .Then the manager who had no customer service skills asks me whats a fair price? Well free since you never got my ok . we settlrd on a price. I will never ever go there ever again and thats a huge loss to them as i like to buy my wife presents and used to always go to kay!! Stay away!!!

I purchased diamond earrings for my girlfriend. I had to exchange the earrings twice because of a faulty backing that was bent and then the prong setting was lose. The salesperson offered no apology and even tried to give me back the first defective pair. Now, I do not have a Christmas present for my girlfriend. This store has horrible customer service.

My boyfriend bought me a ring and the jewelers took forever to resize and get it to me. I waited for a month and went back 3 times to pick it up on the dates they said it would be ready but it wasnt. The manager was incredibly rude and promised me a gift card for compensation but then did not give it to me when I went to pick it up.
