I have shopped JCPenney since I was a child. My mothers goto store for clothing was JCPenney. For almost 60 years, I have been a JCPenney customer. They have certain brands that I have grown up in and only wear today.I have been a regular customer of the Seminole Town Center JCPenney since it opened when the mall was built. It has gone down hill and I rarely see a crowd in the store. It has two floors but only has one open register for checkout and there is usually a line. I think the lack of customer service will continue the decline of this store until it goes the way of Sears and Kmart. If you don’t reinvest into your customer base they have no reason to visit your store. It is sad and I will miss JCPENNEY when they close.

Clean store... Great prices.. Was very impressed. Check out was easy and the floor & check out team members helpful and polite.

The store was very busy, however, there was not enough cashiers available. I personally did not have to wait very long with my first purchase. The cashier was very personal even though she had several roles to perform like making sure her team members had their lunch or breaks. With my second purchase there was a wait, however a team member from the jewelry department came and offered to her the customers on line at the jewelry counter. Kudos to her.

There is a lot of clearance in the store at this time. I am in search of a fleece bed blanket with a satin edging. It appears none of the stores carry this item

Junk store. Employees dont care and buyers are the worst. Good ahead and close it. Who are you kidding?

Not finding shorts I like but did find 2 shirts for a good price.

A lot to choose from. Kids clothes womens mens accessories Etc. Love the mobile app because of the coupons and they always have sales going on in the store as well.

One star is being gracious. The store manager Joe and the receptionist in the salon are the two exceptions to the lack of customer service. Your department managers or shift leaders could all use a refresher in customer service. The moral is not good and its reflective. Also you should fix your phone lines, when your not given a shirt you pay for you shouldnt have to call Sephora to get someone to answer for 4 hours

I grew up on JCPenney and I still shop there and appreciate their value.

They dont have wheelchair carts that caters to disabled people like myself, so that was the first problem. Then they moved the Amazon desk upstairs to the back of the store, so I had a very long walk, and in so much pain that I couldnt even finish my shopping.

This is what it looks like when a department store goes bankrupt. The customer service is nonexistent, the store is falling apart. The escalator has been broken for months. Too bad, JCP had been good over the years, but that was long ago.

They need serious customer service work. Only 2 registers open in the whole store and we waited over 20 minutes in line for 2 ladys to get checked out. Also the smell of perfume was overwhleming waiting in line downstairs. We had to walk upstairs just to checkout. Also shoe section was a hott mess. I wont be shopping here unless I really need too.

Great visit. Really good ladies shoe selection as long as its not sneakers. Staff was polite and very friendly.

Where did all the customers go? Most departments have a limited variety. The Sanford mall is a ghost town, lots of stores have closed, sad.

Friendly customer service, but hard to find sales clerks for assistance..Why are mens knit pullover shirts made without pockets?..I finally found 2 and bought them..the store and mall look sad and empty. Almost felt like a Walmart.

Actually a very pleasant experience, great prices and great selection of mens clothes and shoes! Will definitely come back!

Definitely an older location and has the look and feel to match. They have all the merch youre use to seeing at the chain, with the added bonus of older carpeting and design elements. It could use a facelift cosmetically but has what you need / want.The staff is friendly and always greets us when we come in. Bathrooms are kept clean and neat for the majority.Overall: BStandard merch, older location that could use a facelift, but nice staff!

Its sad that we could only locate 1 staff member in the entire store! But, we were able to find some great deals on clothing. Hubby and I have always liked JCPENNEY clothing; pricing and quality go hand in hand.

I love their store, their products and 99% of the time their store is clean. The reason for the 2 star rating is because I unknowingly arrived 10 minutes before closing. I thought they closed at 8pm when they really close at 7pm. I should have checked the hours before walking in, but the treatment I received when I asked for the nearest check out was unbelievable. I got huffing and puffing and rolling eyes. They had me go to 2 different cashier stations to finally get to a 3rd one downstairs NO WHERE near where I parked to get checked out and pushed out. Me and my 2 year old son had to make the walk outside in the Florida heat to the other side of the mall. To say I will never return would be a lie, but to say your Sanford Florida location had the worst service at the end of the day today is 100% true.

So went there on a Sunday at noon, they had just opened. Big sign on doors entrance closed, which had been there two weeks prior when I had gone. Nobody said a word, this time surly lady asked me if I had just used that entrance, as soon as I came around the corner. No Good Morning, nice to see you nothing. What a greeting, I told her the sign had been there the last time I had been there, not a word from anyone who worked there about it being a closed entrance.She said well it’s different now, I told her to slap on the handcuffs.They should close the store now and get it over with, it’s obvious they don’t want customers.

Bought lots of clothes

Store was very cluttered and the sale prices are hard to determine, even tho its on the product. Sales personal were very dry and frankly unpleasant.

Smells like the 90s but without the legendary customer service or catalog desk ... which should have very successfully translated into online sales long before Amazon but whatever. Careful management due to the influence of retirees on the books and a willingness to live off the sales of diversified investments for years and years. Rod Johnson came too hard too late and had his own best interest at heart, methinks.I digress, Ill never forget Gwendolyn for helping us every year with our school shopping at the old Sanford store. The one on 17-92 that closed when this one opened up.Anyway, Seems like theyre coasting towards an end of life scenario treading water and not doing anything really to stay relevant or fresh. And merchandisings at an all time low, theres just not enough employees to keep up. Store often looks like a yard sale.Im sometimes in for socks, Xmas returns, and some rubber necking but honestly havent done any actual business with them in the last few years despite trying to make a point of it. Qualitys dropped so low and theyre always out of whatever I need; online and offline.Was honestly actually easier to find my last JCP St. Johns Bay shirt at a thrift store!!!!!!!!!Giving them a three is very generous.

Came to the store 3 weeks in a row looking for pants in my size in the junior section. I grabbed the last pair in my size on my first visit. They hadnt stocked up any in my returning visits. I could tell it was the same pants that had been there the weeks prior. How often do you stock up on out of stock sizes??? I just ended up ordering online and had to pay extra for shipping and not entirely thrilled about it. Hope it fits.

I had to return an item that was too big for my daughter-in-law because I had ordered it online. Besides, I wanted to get some shopping done while I was there too. I love JCPenney. Once I find my size, everything in the store in that size fits. All thats left to select is the style I want. Another big plus, is the people who work there. Ive known a few of them for decades, and theyre wonderful, hard working, women. My only concern was that the store moved its RETURN Department to regular registers downstairs. It used to be upstairs and had a higher counter with stools and catalogs to look at so while the women processed your returns you could see if there was anything else you wanted, maybe something similar to your return or something else, and purchase it at the same time from the catalogs. Unfortunately, now that its downstairs, no one has a chance to read any catalogs or even a flyer or anything other than wait in line for the returns to be processed. I guess they call that progress, LOL.

Regarding Customer Service in Fine Jewelry, Sanford, Noon: Waited for 10 minutes, and the only customer at that counter. The clerk walked by me 4 times, and did not acknowledge my presence. No eye contact at all. Overheard her ask co-worker if she could help her!! Extended customer service training is highly advisable for said clerk. I was looking to make a diamond purchase, but walked away instead.

JCPenney has done a nice job getting back to their discount model. This store was well stocked and it was easy to find what we needed. We were greeted by many employees which is a nice change. That must be a new culture they are aiming to achieve.

They should be a four but some of the staff need some training. One check out person had no personality and another needed some training on how not to over share and being respectful to others. I get its a trying job but you still have to be nice to others. They are getting better clothes, more sizes and home goods in.

Went in to pick up an online order, (salon has great sales on the liters). The store literally smelled like a dirty diaper. Throughout the entire store, very unpleasant like a moldy bathroom full of soiled diapers.

Best clearance and sales. Never disappointed.

Limited amount of shorts left in girls department. Found lots of tops and we got through the check out line quickly. Cashier was very pleasant.

HORRIBLE. i returned a ring in Feb, the estimatedme 2 weeks, never heard from anyone reached out many times no one contacted me. Suppose to get it back before covid closes everything now my ring is “lost in the mail” $400 RING from my grandmother ! I will never shop or go into another JCP in my life.

I have had excellent service here! I see Taylor for my color and cuts....she is attentive and wonderful. 😍 She has a great attention to detail, and it’s also a very calm and relaxed environment to get your hair done.

This place use to be where I went every year when my kids were in school to get back to school clothes. But over the years their pricing has soared for the same quality clothing. I think they must be trying to not go out of business by raising prices so high. Hardly shop there anymore because theyve gotten too expensive

Not enough personel but still good merchandise.

Unfortunately I had to give them three stars for their in-store pickup process. Their in-store pickup location is the same register you check out at so when theres a line you have to wait forever to get your stuff. Other retailer have an online check in or a separate counter for pick ups it would be a good idea to update the process.

Not at all customer friendly. Had placed an online order and made a request to hold it for 4 more days than the stipulated date, but instead was told that it has to be collected a day earlier than the assigned deadline. Did not even pay heed to the customers inability or reasoning. Contacted Online customer service and was told that they cannot force the store or offer any help.

Don’t ever shop here. Got a crib and needed to turn into a toddler bed and they didn’t sell me the correct pieces then told me it’s not their problem because they no longer sell it. Worst customer service ever.

Its sad to see the store lacking variety like they had in the past. Seems like the days are numbered. I grew up in JCPenny. My mother worked for them back in 70s and 80s.
