Would not recommend these guys to anyone. Two different services performed and both times had to take it somewhere else to fix what they screwed up. Went in for a simple oil change and within a few days the check engine light came on. Come to find out they did not replace the oil with the recommended weight of oil. Changed the oil with correct weight and the check engine light went off. Another time took my vehicle in for an transmission fluid change. The gasket on the tranni pan was a reusable designed by Chevrolet. Taylor auto put on the after market gasket causing it to leak. Very frustrated and disappointed with the jokers. Never going here again.
They were horrible on fixing my car. They charged me almost 600 and it still was not fixed. I could not even drive it off the lot. I dont recommend using thisbusiness because they will rip you off. Now I lookhave to take it somewhere else. I am extremely mad because they didnt fix it but charged me 600 for nothing.

If I was a mechanic I would work for Taylor Automotive. Because of there personal, professional and wonderful customer service. You can tell when you walk in that the owner is a military veteran because of the cleanliness of the shop. Great service and professional. My ac wasn’t working and was told I needed a hose replace by another service shop. I got a diagnostic here and had everything checked and they found no problems. Very disappointed that they replaced my Prius hybrid battery and the replacement failed less than 80k miles later (but longer than the 3 year warry). When I called, they said they discovered there was an issue with the Dorman hybrid batteries they had been cheerleading about and sold to/installed for me. I want to them because they were supposedly experts in hybrid batteries and had a better mouse trap. The cost replace a 2nd time is more expensive than original toyota hybrid battery install options in Raleigh, which is much closer to home. I wish Tracy, the owner, would have discounted the 2nd replacement when their battery failed to fo half of the miles I was promised (even though the years for warranty had expired). I would have thought theyd want to keep customers and grow their business by offering people a reason to drive to Sanford. If Raleigh folks can do it cheaper, why couldnt they? Disappointed.

I had the pleasure of taking my vehicle there recently for brakes, oil change and bulbs. I’m a procrastinator when it comes to vehicle repair so when I need multiples things completed on my vehicle I truly understand it’s my user error and love that a place like this can work with me. I knew going in the first time that I waited too long for brakes and would certainly need rotors since I let the grinding noise get out of hand and was hoping I didn’t lock up the calipers but totally did! Yes, that’s all on me! The great news is they had me up and running smoothly for a trip out of town the next day and even understood I’m a single parent that still needed transportation so they offered me a vehicle to borrow until my car was repaired. I know this isn’t an option for everyone, so I was grateful for having this back up!I loved how everyone kept me informed on the process of repair and worked hard to get me back on the road to not miss my trip. Keep in mind I was pretty much a walk-in for a pretty big job and they still found a way to work me in- so awesome! I’ve read some other reviews about cost being a concern but dang you get what you pay for, folks and I believe their customer service and precision are worth every penny! I’ll definitely being going back, hopefully not too soon but for sure they have my loyalty! Thanks again Taylor automotive staff, y’all were a life saver ❤️

I had a burned out headlight on my 2009 Camry. The headlight assemblies were also very cloudy. Since getting to the headlights involved taking off the front bumper, I felt like it would be best to replace both assemblies while I would be paying for the labor to remove/replace the bumper. I called several places to get quotes for replacing both assemblies. One place never got back to me. Another quoted almost $900 to do what I had requested. In all fairness, that was probably a reasonable price because the assemblies are expensive. However, the folks at Taylor suggested an equally good fix for less than half that price. They replaced all the bulbs and did a restoration on the lenses that has them looking brand new. They were able to schedule the work quickly and complete it on time. I was very pleased and grateful!

Cant even give you an estimate over the phone which is strange because if you go in for a appointment only to find out that you cant afford the price for their service, then what was the point of even scheduling a appointment? Contact a shop that can give you a estimate over the phone. A REAL auto repair shop would know how much it would be to repair something especially if theyve done those kinds of jobs before, then they have the nerve to have a sign talking about what they can repair what a joke.

My husband was a mechanic and I never had to take my car anywhere for repairs my whole life. He recently died in March of this year. My car stopped running and I had no clue who to call and what to do. I called Taylor Automotive and explained my situation and they took care of me. Their prices were reasonable. They fixed the problem, and also fixed and checked to make sure all safety features, fluids and tires were good. I have now found my go to service shop. My experience with Taylor Automotive was great. The thing I liked most was the fact that they told me how much it would be up front. The only change in that price was something I had added for them to do. Thats pretty much unheard of these days.The entire repair to my car was performed in a timely manner. I was extremely pleased with the quality of work as well. I had the option to say yes or no to items found during diagnostics.They were very friendly and knowledgeable. If you want it done right, this is the place.

I came for a oil change and they found why my tire had a slow leak. It being a nail and they plugged but they found that my brake pads were down to 3mm. They gave me a loaner car so I could go to work. I appreciate the service, I wish I didnt have to pay that amount of money. But the young lady told me about the credit program. I dont know if Id qualify.

I am an extremely disappointed customer. I went in for a safety inspection. I needed my license plate replaced. The bulbs count $4.50 and I was charge $66.00 for the labor. I would not recommend this place of business to fix your vehicle go somewhere else to get the problem fixed. The receptionist appeared irritated, annoyed and frustrated with me when I asked questions about the inspection. The manager stayed in his office and did not answer my questions. I did not feel welcomed with this place of business. I will NEVER go back to this place of business.
Great service, great people! Got my BMW in very quickly and provided me with a loaner, Crystal and Tracy called and updated me throughout the repairs. Car came back running perfectly! I wont take my car anywhere else.

The most recent example of excellent service occurred at Thanksgiving time when I realized at the last minute that my Honda needed a new set of tires. The Taylor folks scurried around to make it happen quickly so that we could drive safely to Kentucky as scheduled. I was immensely grateful for their care and concern, but not really surprised. They have helped me for years now---more than I can really remember--and in many ways---more than I can take time to recount. THANKS to everyone there!

I have taken both my Priuss to Taylor Automotive for replacement hybrid batteries and all other repairs ever made to these cars. They are honest and know how to take care of the customers. Even though I have to drive 2 hours to get to Taylor Auto, it is a trip I have never regretted making. I am so thankful I found Taylors. Owning a hybrid vehicle was new to me, but having Taylor Auto to call made the experience a positive one
Solved not one, but TWO of my mystery car issues! My car was picked up and a loaner car was offered. I was kept informed of the work as it progressed. The work was done quickly and the staff was more than polite! The car was returned to my place of work. A car repair has never been this easy! So pleased with the work on the first car that weve taken a second one for repairs today.

I am writing this review to share my experience.Overall, my experience was excellent, courteous, and very professional.The young lady in the front, the mechanic, and the shop hand were all very good to me and my experience (although I had received bad news about my alignment) was all going very well until the Manager came into the picture.I had asked to speak to the manager to see if I could work out a discounted rate seeing as the vehicle was not able to be fully aligned and the steering wheel was not aligned (I fully understand that there some things that sometimes doesnt allow the vehicle to be aligned but I told the young lady over the phone that if they could get it done good, if they cant to leave it alone and that I would take it somewhere else) (Also being a dealer, Ive worked with various shops who do not charge when they cannot align the vehicle due to a component needing to be changed, but I understand not all shops are the same in which I wanted to initiate a conversation with the manager to work something out) to see if they were going to charge me, to see if they could charge me at a reduced rate and I would pay the full rate when I came back seeing the vehicle was not able to be aligned and I had told them over the phone not to work on it if it wasnt going to be aligned that I would take it to someone else if that was the case.Anyhow, the manager rudely barged into the conversation I was having with the receptionist in regards to asking to speak to the manager. This gentleman (although he was far from being one) did not even introduce himself, he proceeded to be act defensive and in a rude tone state that I was going to have to pay for alignment regardless and that I was going to then have to pay for it again when I came back, and that I would pay full price the next time I came back.The fact is that I completely understand the situation of not being aligned and its okay to be able to communicate to a customer that he or she will have to be charged for a service that wasnt completed due to a failed component and that he or she will have to pay again when they came in again to get it re-aligned.Whats not okay is to say it in a rude and forceful manner that does nothing to help the situation.In all spectrums of business, a manager is there to manage the operation of an organization. Sometimes issues will arise within the ranks and with customers. When issues arise with the customers, you have to be all ears to listen and to respond in a calculated and approachable way.I understand that this individual was angry with the customer or perhaps the individual was having a bad start to the day or just didnt sleep well, but whatever the reason may be, please do not take it out on the customer and mistreat the customer.Theres way to communicate information without being rude and causing the situation to be a tense one. And if you and your staff are not able to perform a service 100% and you plan to charge him or her, please take the time to apologize for the situation and to talk up a game plan with the customer.Being in the car selling business as an investor and being an engineer that has worked with several customers and stakeholders, theres way to communicate undesired and unfavorable outcomes that the customer or stakeholder was not expecting.The way the manger of Taylor Automotive communicated those unfavorable outcomes was not in the way one should communicate in the customer service industry and as the face of an organization.Anyhow, this is just me voicing my disappointment in the service I received from the Manager of Taylor Automotive alongside my two cents in what areas this individual alongside the organization can improve on.I hope they realize that they work for the customers, that customers do not work for them. I came in a few months ago to repair my AC. I was quoted $1,300. According to them a lot of work needed to be done to fix the AC to include replacing the radiator. I took my car to Fort Bragg Firestone a week after. They fix my AC by replacing a hose which costed just a little over $300 parts and labor. Theres Auto Place over charges and overestimates repairs because they push their credit program. I recommend customers to get second or even third opinions before committing to this auto repair service shop

Their pricing and respect of our time have made us greatly appreciate how they treat their customers compared to when weve had to go to a dealership (new vehicle initial warranty) and suffer the price gouging and abuse of our time. Our truck is thirteen years old and the spray-on bedliner was wearing off. Tracys team applied a new bedliner that looks INCREDIBLE; we are THRILLED at the result! I highly recommend Taylor Automotive. In 2014, I chose Taylor to replace the hybrid battery on my 2006 Prius because they provided a battery with a longer warranty for $1,000 less than my Raleigh Toyota dealer. Taylor also provided assurance on safely driving the 50 miles from Raleigh to Sanford with the red warning light on.Over the past two years, I received guidance from Taylor Automotive on how to disconnect and reconnect the 12-volt and hybrid batteries during long periods when the Prius was not in use. Taylor also showed me a very good product for fixing the cloudy headlight issue.Last week, the red warning light came on and I took my Prius to Taylor Automotive the next day. Taylor provided a replacement hybrid battery at no cost.I am a very happy customer of Taylor Automotive. Thank you Tracy, Crystal and Tom.

We took our 2010 Prius in for the hybrid battery replacement in August of 2016. Our local dealer wanted about $1,000 more than Taylor Automotive charges. My dealer did not give precise answers to my questions about the replacement. Taylor Automotive gave very specific answers and offered detail about the car and battery. The two folks I talked with on the phone and later in person were Crystal Case and Tracy Magill. They were impressive and very helpful with my questions related to the diagnostic codes, parts, appointment, cost and time for replacement. While the Prius was getting the battery replaced, they allowed us a loaner car to explore the town of Sanford. We were able to visit the coffee shop, shopping area, train station and park. It was a very pleasant time in Sanford. I highly recommend Taylor Automotive. Their knowledge and willingness to share knowledge with concerned customers is unheard of in this day and time. It was well worth the 280 mile drive to have your Prius serviced by folks that really care about the customer! Keep up the good work!
I tried to get my car inspected there. It would take a one day wait. I have heard repeatedly from coworkers about how slow and overpriced this place is.They also sell salvaged cars that they have repaired. They are always $2,000 to $4,000 overpriced.This doesnt seem to be a reputable company.

I am concerned that Taylor automotive treated my husband and I very differently when we took our cars to them for service. My husband was treated well, had his car repaired, and was charged only for the time that was used to work on his car. When I took my car in, on two separate occasions, I was charged for more time than was used to work on my car. The first time, I was charged for an hour of work to replace two tubes, although the service took only 30 minutes. The second time, I was charged for 2.5 hours of work when the actual service took less than an hour; what should have been $80 for labor was upcharged to $200, an addition of $120 gravy work. I have since asked for a refund of the difference between the labor charged and the labor performed, but have not yet heard back from the business.Of course, I am disappointed that I was over-charged for labor, but most of all, I am disappointed that my husband and I received unequal treatment from Taylor Automotive. I would hope that any reputable business would treat everyone with the same fair business practices, and I was disappointed that this was not the case. In the future, I will make sure to take all the cars in my family to a repair shop that treats everyone equally.
