I do badly want to give this dealership a higher rating because the whole visit wasn’t bad- but, I do truly believe that there are some less than genuine people at this location. Keith was an amazing resource to work with, Shannon also attempted to empathize and work with us. Dale (the general manager), on the other hand. Where to start. I do believe he thinks he is doing the best he can, but he is a true business man. He says all the right things and makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, but once you start to actually follow through on these promises, you quickly see him return to his shell and avoid you. We are working with Chrysler to figure out the solution to our vehicles issues and although I do think we will get some help from Chrysler corporate, I can honestly say that I’m not sure I would ever own a Chrysler again after the service we have received. As a military family, a safe and reliable vehicle is a necessity as we are often solo here at home. Being military also allows us the opportunity to know a lot of people and word of mouth is everything, unfortunately I’m not sure I’ll have many positive things to say about this dealership. Had Dale offered us a true trade in value on the vehicle that we brought to him, that would be different but he continually pushed our issues onto someone else when it became too difficult for him to deal with. Seems like an issue within the management command here, on to the next one I guess. Steer clear if you want anything other than hoops to jump through.

Shout out to the extremely helpful and courteous folks that helped me get and keep my recently purchased RV/camper/bus running. When I had nowhere locally that I could find to work on it, I contacted Shanon at John Hiester Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Sanford and she got me steered in the right direction. Leroy, the maintenance supervisor (Sorry if I got his title wrong!) checked to see if he could help me on something they normally dont perform maintenance on. Long story short he got me up and going with a new starter and she now starts up like a charm. I dropped it off on Thursday and it was ready for me to take home on Monday. I really didnt expect that it would be so fast! Also, big shout out to sales rep, Keith, who checked me in, smoothly and hassle free. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes, getting the info he needed and me showing him what my issue was with it not wanting to start when turning the ignition key. Cost for repair was right about what I expected and Im extremely happy with all of the folks there that made this happen. Almost forgot to me tonight the friendly and helpful peeps I the parts department. Even though they couldnt get me a spare key made for my camper, they pointed me in the right direction. I would recommend John Hiester of Sanfordto anyone for their auto repairs.

The whole visit wasn’t bad, but they spent about an hour looking for a small leak in the tire and could not find it. Told me there was no leak even though I had already filled that tire up on 3 separate occasions within the last month. They told me to come back if my psi went back down and they’d have to take the tire off the rim and do this and that which would’ve been quite expensive. It was a waste of time and the mechanics clearly don’t know how to do their job if they can’t find a leak in a tire. Don’t recommend getting work done at this location. I went to the Jeep dealership in Lillington and they found the leak in about 15 minutes and it only cost $25 to plug the hole.

Fantastic Service Department. Had two tires needing emergency replacement. I was able to tow the car to them at 8:30AM, and it took them all of 3 hours to order 4 tires, get them delivered, replace them on the vehicle, balance and align the tires. Their parts rep understood my dilemma, and really worked to get me taken care of. Their service tech explained to me what he saw was the cause in plain English and how the ensured it wouldnt occur again. I was prepared to sit all day, and they made sure I didnt. Kudos to all those involved in helping service my emergency.

Customer service: Very good. Shannon did a very good job updating me on the status of my vehicle. Only issue was having to ask. Provided a discount for not meeting timeline (Exactly what a company should do!)Quality of completed work: Good. No issues.Pricing: Price on parts were a little high but the discount helped ease that pain.Timeliness of work completion: Went a few days over but that is expected in this current COVID-19 environment.All and all, a good experience. I will definitely return for regular service.

Be careful going into this location for service. When I bought my truck I was informed it had full synthetic oil inside and they did the first oil change and put conventional oil instead of full synthetic. On top of that you may have to remind them that your vehicle is outside after waiting an hour with no one in front of you. If you call with questions regarding your oil change and if they mixed two different oils inside they won’t have an answer and will dance around the subject unless you keep pressing them. Don’t trust the multi point inspection. They didn’t check tire pressure which makes me believe they didn’t conduct the inspection.

Well I started smelling anti freeze and knew there was a problem. I also have no time and wanted it done right so I went to an actual dealership. The pets and service are covered by a 1-3 year warranty I can’t remember and the work was done quickly. I was fortunate enough to be able to get a loaner vehicle while they were working on mine too which was a huge help.The cost was high, this is why I gave it 4 stars. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for so I know this work was done right the first time because I paid well for it. Awesome people working there, very friendly and helpful too. I recommend this dealership to anyone who needs work done correctly and quickly on their vehicle.

They brought the car, 50 miles, to my home, during storms and a tornado warning, so I can test drive it. I did all the paperwork from the comfort of my home. My salesman, Brian was fantastic. I give no stars!!!! This place is horrible! Not only did I get a ticket bc they didn’t transfer my tags like the man was supposed to, After going back and forth with them about paying for it and sending me a new tag and sticker I never received my sticker. My husband had to go a duplicate of it to have it to get the ticket dropped. And he just got the oil changed and they left the center of my tires out. I will not be back to the place for anything!!!! And if I could I would leave no stars!

Guys were very nice, we had a great deal on a TRX worked. I just didnt understand the interior options on a base model like I thought. Ended up passing on the deal. The whole time Dale Hansford and Daniel Brownie were responsive, not pushy, helpful, and understanding. If we can find a level 1 or 2 TRX, I wouldnt think twice about getting the truck with them. Bought many new vehicle for our company and never had such a straight forward dealer for this part of the buying experience. I know if the deal went through the rest would have been the same.

We sold our Jeep to John Heister in Sanford. We are lucky that this local dealership was available to purchase without a trade in or a purchase. They made it simple and quick. The process was simple. We did have to wait for them to get the title in for us to receive our check. It took about 4 weeks but Nicole in the finance department kept on top of it and helped us (she was great!) we had hoped to make a certain amount off of our Jeep, we were close to that amount but wish they would’ve worked with us a little more. If you go here, from my experience ask for Vanessa. What an outstanding sales rep and person in general. She is out for your best interest. Unfortunately management was not so I did not go through with the purchase, however the entire floor sales team were very impressive with their knowledge and their seeming eagerness to put customers into the car you need at an affordable price. Management today did not seem to care for the trade and even after providing a Carmax appraisal and Rock lot trade in bill of sale, they refused to match the cost.

I purchased a 2018 Jeep in September of 2020. In six months, I have had to take it in 3 times for service. Today, I was going to be charged $135 for a diagnostic test that was looked at in October. Then told to fix the problem it would be almost $800 for two parts that cost $145 and probably about 90 minutes of labor. Finally someone told me that the diagnostic test would be taken care of but the technician needed to make a living for his family. What about my family? I will not be going back to John Hester Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Sanford.UPDATE...my original salesman, Ethan, looked into my situation and found that I had purchased a warranty and it was filed incorrectly. Thank you Ethan for going the extra mile and finding the information that I knew was there.

I wish I could give this dealership a good rating, as the actual buying experience with them was good. However, a month after purchasing my vehicle, I never received my new license plate from them in the mail to replace my temporary tags. I called and we quickly discovered it was sent to the wrong address. No big deal, mistakes happen. We corrected the address issue and was told the plates would be overnighted to me. A week later, still having received no plates, I call again. And again, and again, and again for weeks after that. I have spoken with the person who sold me the vehicle, people at their tag and title office, receptionists who direct me to five different people who are never available, and have been given the “I’ll check on that and get back with you within the hour” response more times than I can even count at this point. Now, coming up on 8 weeks since I’ve been driving with expired 30 day tags, I’m at a complete loss as to where to go or what to do as I’ve spoken with approximately 10 different people, many of them multiple times, and no one can seem to do something as simple as give me a call back with an update. I wish I had a fantastic experience here as I’ve seen tons of other reviews describing, but I’m just exhausted and disgusted with the customer service I’ve received and I’m hoping by some miracle this reaches someone who might be able to even just call me back as has been promised repeatedly but never delivered.

Bought new 2021 Chrysler 300S in March ‘21. Was a cash transaction.Dealer contacted me (8) weeks later to “check on vehicle”. Dealer then said “I had forgotten to initial a couple places on paperwork”, (Red flag), and overnighted a complete new set of paperwork. I signed new paperwork and returned it, (what else could I do?).Dealer then sent me new NC license plate after (9) weeks of ownership! Well the vanity plate that the dealer moved from my trade-in at the time of sale was apparently not even legal as the car was never registered cause dealer lost the paperwork. Interesting they cashed my check that day though...and sold my 2014 trade-in the following week..When I contacted the dealer after the new plate arrived they totally wouldn’t help or explain what had happened. They told me to return the new plate back to them so they could re-instate my old vanity plate in the dmv system. Well my question was “How can I legally drive the vehicle in the meantime? ” Right? Well with that question - sales manager Phillip Allen and F&I person John Higgins wouldn’t return my texts or calls.At this point I reached out to NC dmv and filed a complaint.Then I reached out to the NC State Attorney General’s office and filed a complaint.Then my wife screen shot the NC State attorney website complaint page and emailed it to“Mr. John Heister’s personal assistant”, (because Mr. John Heister doesn’t talk directly to customers), and ... get ready for it.........Miraculously —— :Mr. Phillip Alan immediately returned the call. Gee that only took several weeks...🙄It’s all handled now with *zero* help from Manager Philip Alan of Heister Chrysler. I hope they all hear from the NC State Attorney General’s office and/or NC dmv....Incidentally - We love our new 2021 Chrysler 300S.I’ll never buy from *any* John Heister dealership again. They are exactly what gives car dealerships a bad name. Don’t tell truth and don’t return calls (After they screwed up my registration and left me high and dry). And yes - I had to eat the cost of my vanity plate and pay registration for new plate after driving unregistered car (10) weeks, 2300 miles in (5) states with invalid tags. They offered no atonement.Thanks for reading all of this. Hope it helps someone from being hosed by the Heister Group. There’s way better choices to buy a vehicle in the Triangle

The staff was very friendly. I had an appointment at 930 that was supposed to only take an hour. I did not get my car back until 330pm. The only thing they had to do was run a diagnostic and smoke test through my emissions system. Very disappointing. They did tell me what the issue was, and I will get it fixed some where else.

As being my very first time buying a car, I was a nervous wreck and trying to find the perfect car. I had found my Jeep Grand Cherokee online and had had the car price emailed to me in hopes it would still be there when I was able to go Saturday. The next morning I got a call and they held the keys for it for 24 hours till I was able to come and test drive so that it would still be there. Once there I got to test drive it and I was in love. They answered any questions I had and made the process as easy and simple as possible. Would highly recommend shopping here!

My husband and I had been looking for a new vehicle off and on for a few months in the search for the perfect one and for the perfect dealership wanting to work for us. Thru a few frustrating visits with a couple dealerships, we sadly had to walk away. After getting the run around in Goldsboro, we jumped in the car to head home when we decided to try John Hiester of Sanford. Best decision ever. We walked in and told them what we were looking for and this place really came thru. Not only did they do everything to work with us, but they really worked for us too. The salesman we worked with was amazingly sweet. The finance manager was very amazing and really went out of his way to get us set up. I have nothing but great things to say about this business and the employees. Everyone was so very nice and welcoming. Thank you so much for everything yall did to get us in our new vehicle!

Bought my truck from them a year ago, sales rep was nice at first, then when speaking to the sales manager to do final paper work, he was somewhat pushy and made me a little uncomfortable, but it was the vehicle I wanted, and we eventually got everything settled and done. Well, the truck was great for about 3-4 months, then it was tires going bad, brake pads going bad, rotors going bad. Literally something every other month with this truck. They claim to thoroughly inspect their vehicles before they put them on the lot to sell, but I’m not sure if this is very accurate. And when I went for an oil change my wife looked at a vehicle and is needing a new one. I didn’t really want to go their for my oil change, but they were closest place to me for the best price. I’ll give them that. But the sales rep that spoke with me and my wife, had this attitude the whole time, like she just did not want to be bothered and really didn’t want to help us, no cars were even shown to my wife, they didn’t even ask what vehicle she said she wanted, they just started throwing out vehicles to see what we’d get approved for. Needless to say they didn’t come back with an offer we felt comfortable with so we left, and they told us to come back. Not so sure I will. Place seemed really great at first, but it has been on the downward slope ever since I think. It really depends on who you speak with over there and how bad they’re looking to make a sale and how much they want to help you. Seemed like they weren’t in the most eager mood to make a sale either. But that’s fine, my wife and I can easily find another place that can suite our needs and intend to. Just be careful when going to this place if you’re shopping for a vehicle.

I just left this dealership from having my jeep serviced this morning. When I was checking out, I was informed that my tires were in such bad condition that they wouldnt pass a state inspection at this time. Since I just bought brand new tires last year, I was shocked. I immediately went to the place where I bought my tires from, they checked my tires and said they are absolutely fine. Since that only created more confusion for me, I went to a 3rd place who does state inspections and they also said my tires were completely fine. So not only did the dealership lie to me to try to sell me tires, I wasted a good part of my Saturday trying to get to the bottom of this. When I called the dealership to let them know, I was told that the technician is sticking with what he put in his report, that my tires are in terrible condition. As such, I can only deduce that their technicians are either inept and should not be working as technicians, or that it is their practice to lie to their customers to make some extra money. Either way, it is completely unacceptable and I DO NOT recommend this dealerships service department under any circumstances.
