Had a small wreck in the highway - hit something on the road I have no idea what it was, but it broke the grille of my car. Went in for general maintenance (my car was driving fine) and diagnosis to see if there were any issues. Charged me way less for diagnosis as other places. I know a fair bit about cars, and the whole experience felt very honest. Did not try to upsell me on anything and all I really needed was a break job - which I knew I probably needed since my breaks were making noise. The break job price was fair and I can definitely notice the difference. If I dont come back to this review it means theyve done a good long lasting job.

Very happy to say I finally found my go-to mechanic after trying multiple large chains in the area. I came in with multiple issues and he never tried to upsell me and charged a very fair price for great work. In fact he told me I didn’t need things I thought I needed. Honest businesses finish first ;)

Short version: The epitome of a family owned business that prides themselves on taking care of the customer.I was buying a used but expensive truck in Sanford and I live 2 hours away in Satellite Beach. I wanted to have the truck inspected before I committed to the purchase. I googled mechanic Sanford FL and CMC was one of the hits with 100% 5 star reviews. I called and Jason answered and he said he could get me in no problem that afternoon. I ended up getting held up at the dealership (imagine that) and Jason still made sure he got me into the shop for the inspection late afternoon on a Friday. And, at an extremely reasonable price too by the way. They test drove it, put on a lift, let me get under it so I could get a look and did a full inspection and provided all the paperwork.In the hour I was there, I learned they are a true family owned father and son business. Really a refreshing thing to see these days. It was a pretty old school place with newspaper clippings on the walls, hand written signs etc. My kind of place. I found a needle in a haystack here, got some great peace of mind for 70 bucks and oh yea the best part...the minor things they found got me 300 more dollars off the truck price!!!

They saw to having My truck towed to CMC within an hour of breaking down away from Sanford. Called to report all that was found to be wrong and quoted prices before starting. Presented the replaced parts when I went to pick up truck. No surprises added and things that could wait safely was discussed.

I do ALL my own work on my vehicles. CMC auto repair has exceeded my expectations for quality work at a VERY fair price. The shop is clean, and the Customer Waiting area is like a room in a home, very pleasant. The work they have done for me was expeditious and precise. They nailed in an hour what I couldnt solve in a month. I was treated with respect and professionalism. They did what they said they would do, in the time they said they would do it, for the price they said they would.

I had all 4 brake rotors and pads replaced and they completed it in just a few hours; they even were able to save me some money by reusing parts as they could when they could have replaced them and charged me! Very friendly and reliable service; willing to go the extra mile. I HIGHLY recommend for all services. (Fast and fair oil change too!)

My sister had some work done to her minivan at this shop and referred me when it was time for me to get mine fixed. The people are very nice and professional. I felt like I was leaving my van in good hands when I dropped it off. The mechanical called me to give me an estimate and explained everything in detail to me then promised my van would be ready the very next morning. When i picked up the van the next day it was running like new. I got a 10% discount because my sister referred me and she will also get 10% off on her next visit. They know what they are doing and they are there to help you....not screw you, like most (street) mechanics. Jim and the guys at CMC changed my oil today. They charged me fairly and also replaced a light in my dash at no extra charge. Theyre good guys and I would like to continue servicing my own care with them. Id also gladly refer my friends.

My front end was shimmying when I applied the breaks. I took my car in and they fixed the problem at a fair price and in a timely fashion. I was very impressed with the friendly and honest support. They gave me all the options and costs before doing any work, and offered to give me the parts they replaced in case I wanted to inspect them myself. Best of all they are a locally owned business and not some auto repair chain. Next time I need any work done Ill go there and not even bother calling around. When you find an honest auto shop you stick with them.

I just moved to the area and found this mechanic shop online. Not knowing anyone or anything about mechanics in this area I was very pleased with the service I received. All the staff was friendly and they were able to get my truck in first thing in the morning and completed the task fairly quickly, keeping me updated through the whole process. I highly recommend this shop to anyone and I will continue to use this shop for anything I ever need.

I brought my Taurus in for a starter replacement. The work was performed and completed ahead of time. Ive brought my car in for brakes as well, everything is disclosed upfront and to date, everything has been as described, no bait and switch at CMC. Their prices are fair but the quality of work is well above! I have no reservations about bringing my car back to Jim and his staff.

I do most of the work myself on my vehicles. So when the AC system in my 03 Ford Escape sprung a leak I fixed it myself. Recharging the empty system, however, required equipment I couldnt find to rent, So I checked the BBB website and called CMC and a couple other shops. CMC had the best price. When I got there, they immediately put it on a vacuum pump for about 45 minutes and then put 2 pounds of refrigerant in. I brought it in at 9am and they were finished by 10:30am. The problem was fixed promptly, the price was reasonable and the people were friendly. What more can you ask for?

First time customer, wont be the last. Called 30 minutes before closing and said I thought my vans radiator just sprung a leak -- asked if I could get my radiator looked the next day. Jim Dunn said yes and said I could have it back that same day. When I arrived 10 minutes before they officially openned the next morning, Jim greeted me like an old friend. He shared that he just found out he would be short-handed by 3 mechanics this morning but he would not let me down - the van would be ready today.At 9am, he called to tell me what they found, what hed recommended be done and not be done (-- when does any service provider try to talk you out of spending money? - wow!), and the cost. I gave him the green-light to do the work.At 3pm, I got the call that the van was ready. When I came by to pick it up, Jim showed me the old radiator and discussed its condition and pointed out where the leak was located. And if I had ANY problems, let him know. Before leaving as a satisfied customer, I made arrangements to drop off my SUV the next morning - it had been running rough and wanted it checked out. Again Jim got me in first thing in the morning.Jim and his staff were unprentious, appreciative, and honest. Where I come from we call them good people

Miracle workers! Went above and beyond to make sure I didnt have to pay for a whole new clutch for my Ford Focus SVT. Saved me a ton of money I would have had to pay otherwise. Kept my in the loop about the timeframes, parts and labor costs (called me with updates). My car was fixed quicker than I was expecting. I would never go anywhere else for any car repairs. These are good people. There couldnt be a more reputable and honest mechanic shop.

The Reed Family goes no where else to service our four family autos, jeep, gmc, ford and chrysler we have one of each and they know how to fix them all!!! Amazing place hope you will be lucky enough to find these wonderful people as they are the best and cant say enough wonderful things about them all. My family has been going there for years. It has a good local feel. They are genuine and I believe they arent just trying to come up with things wrong to get more money. The work is done quick and competently. I wish more auto shops were like this. (Im looking at you Tuffys).

Ive been to this shop many times this past year since Ive got a used car with over 200,000 miles. Theyve seen me through many repairs and have always been very helpful and informative! One day when my battery died they actually drove to my house in downtown sanford to jump it for me so I could drive it to the shop! They always explain the work they are doing to the car. On my last repair the mechanic saved the broken piece of my leaking gas tank and showed me pictures of the repair so Id know just what it was they did! They also saved my fiancee a whole lot of money when his dipstick assembly came off the engine block and leaked oil everywhere. The dealer wanted to replace the entire block but CMC used a vehicle epoxy for a solid fix at a fraction of the time and price the dealer would have charged! These guys know what they are doing, highly recommend.
