I purchased my appliance package for my new condo from Central. Very pleased with the selection, prices; and perhaps more importantly, the service! Central had better prices than the big box stores and you get no service from big box stores. Highly recommend appliance purchasing from Central. So nice to call and speak with a human- an onsite human vs a call center in a different state/country. Adam was my salesman- helpful and responsive. Kim helped me with an issue on my dryer- 100% satisfied with resolution. And Jonathan the service tech is a super hero- came to take care of my dryer issue. but helped me with quick questions on my new dishwasher and fridge while he was here. He was patient and gave me some good tips for using my new appliances. Very grateful for the service from Central- its refreshing to be taken care of as a customer as customer service is somewhat of a lost art these days. Keep up the great work, Team Central! Unexpectedly our refrigerator quit in the middle of a heat wave.. most box stores were 2 weeks out for delivery. Ugh!! Anyway I called Central furniture asked them if they had what I was looking for and They did!! Now the big question how far out was there delivery? When they told me next day delivery i was very happy.. when we got there not only was the services top knotch there prices were reasonable especially with the one i wanted.. as we paid one of the managers i assume said we will deliver today not tomorrow this was amazing news!! About 3 minutes after we got home the delivery guys were pulling up they were amazing to. very professional nice young men! We definitely from now on will buy from Central furniture. Thanks for a stressful situation made easier to handle!! A million thumbs up!

Called Adam Landry Friday late afternoon and told him what I needed in a stove. A little over 6 minutes later I was off the phone, paid and booked for Monday morning. I have been a customer for over 30 years and have always been happy with the product and the service, however I am very disappointed in how things were handled with our last purchase we ordered a new stove and fridge, they told us the stove was in stock and the fridge should be 4 weeks away, no problem with the pandemic going on everything is back ordered, totally understandable, after 8 weeks I call still nothing, after 12 weeks I stop in still nothing, 14 weeks I’m told it is discontinued! You can imagine I’m not to happy, I ask them what can we do to match the stove I have already purchased?? Nothing is what they tell me! Not the customer service I was looking for or expected!!! I went elsewhere and had a new fridge in 2 weeks! I guess Central didn’t mind losing a customer of 30+ years

Was told it would take MONTHS. MONTHS for a new dishwasher that I wanted. Joey got me the good enough model of the one I wanted. I was disappointed. He fought with me about it. The owner fought with me about it. Then I found exactly what I was looking for at Appliance Advantage in Kennebunk (also locally owned and operated) and I was told I would get the exact model I wanted within 2 days. Central Appliance will tell you it will take months because they want to up the prices on you from 100 to 1,000$. I was also told by the wholesaler that places like Central will boost the price and lie to you about production so you will only buy from their stock. Please shop around. These men will swindle you into getting what they want you to buy instead of what you are actually looking for.

They went downhill, do not buy from Joey, hes a horrible salesman. Mark, the owner, was pretty bad at trying to reconcile the problem his employee caused. He then came to my house and threw and smashed the appliance in the back of his truck, in what looked like a fit of rage. Do not go through them, if they dont have what you want they will give you something good enough and not tell you they are going to give you what you didnt ask for. Save your money, go elsewhere. The delivery guys were the best service, which was the only good experience.

I have used CFA both personally and professionally for years -- and have always been over the moon both with the service and pricing. I was blown out of the water, however, when Mark and the crew at CFA donated a chest freezer to be used for breastmilk storage as a community depot/depository for the Mothers Milk Bank Northeast. This is an amazing gesture, and speaks volumes as to how this company supports their local community! THANK YOU!

From Sales to Service Central is the best. I just had a gasket issue on my refrigerator which was replaced in less than 24 hours from my phone call.Very professional.

Last Friday our new Blomberg stove was having an issue with the temp controller, as it was stuck on 300 degrees F. I called the service dept. around 3PM and spoke with Michael and explained what was going wrong. He said he would look into this and call back. He called back around 5PM and offered to have Brian here at our home on the next day which was Saturday before noon!! We were very pleased to hear this. Brian arrived on time and found the issue with the temp. controller. He replaced the temp. controller and after using the stove on Saturday and Sunday we can say it is working beautifully. We are so pleased that we purchased our new appliances from Central Furniture & Appliance and we are also very pleased with the work from the service dept. I ordered a whirlpool washer on Monday afternoon. It was delivered first thing Wednesday morning. It is absolutely the exact washer that I wanted and was looking for! Everyone that I spoke to was awesome!!!! Very polite and knowledgeable staff! The delivery guys were great and put it right beside my door which was perfect for my husband to install when he got home from work. I would definitely use this company again and I have already referred them!!!! Also I live about forty miles from Sanford so a forty dollar delivery fee was very reasonable! Thank you so much!!!

Central appliances treated us so well! Mark in sales was so patient and helpful in getting us the washer/dryer we were looking for! After ordering, they got the shipment a few days later and were able to deliver a couple days after that! We are so grateful we were able to get it so quickly after Home Depot lost our appliances! Couldn’t recommend Central Appliances enough!

Every interaction we have had with Central Furniture & Appliances as been excellent- they gave us the best deals on name-brand appliances when we built our house and have been wonderful anytime we needed service. The steam valve on our dryer broke late one Sunday night and Mark was kind enough to setup a service call first thing Monday morning. Not only were they quick to come out and thorough in their work, but they also helped us document the water damages to get a refund from the manufacturer. This level of service is much appreciated and will keep us coming back to Central Furniture & Appliances again and again!

Well if things break, they break when you are a broke unemployed hairdresser! After sending Mark a message on Monday at nearly 5pm, he had a new one delivered at 8 am. I didnt even pick one out, I gave him some idea of what I would like, price range. What I got is absolutely perfect. So, if he (Mark) can pick an appliance out for someone all with out talking to them in person or over the phone, and it is this perfect, NOW THATS IMPRESSIVE!! THANK YOU! The young men that delivered it, so helpful, above and beyond!

I recently had a problem with my whirlpool refrigerator. Central was there the afternoon I called them. They had to order a part and were at my home at 8a.m. the next morning in a driving rainstorm to install it. The service person was courteous and knowledgeable. These guys are the way things used to be, when you could count on a store servicing what it sold promptly, accurately and with a smile. A class act and I would recommend them to everyone.

Very friendly and genuine. Not pushy,or badgering. We have bought all our furniture and appliances from these folks. My parents have bought thru Central Furniture for years. When our son moved into his grandparents home, we bought him a dishwasher. After he was married we replaced his fridge, and stove. We bought our second set of appliances from Central. Never disappointed in them. Bought a refridge from big box stores..had problem with ice maker couple months after. Had them out for total of 3 more times and could not fix problem. Finally went to good ole Central Furniture and purchased new refridge .home depot never made fridge right. No more big box stores for us, should have gone with Central as always. I called Central Furniture on the advice of my neighbor who is in the home construction business. I later discovered that 3 of my 4 neighbors have hired Central Furniture for appliance repairs even though the (owner?) of another appliance company lives very nearby.Centrals technician, Eric, arrived more than 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled appointment time and was waiting for me when I got home.Eric was very personable and engaging. He showed me everything he was doing, step by step, as he worked through diagnosing my refrigerator/freezer issues (2 separate problems). I had no water/ice to the door, even though I had replaced the water inlet valve, and ice build up in my freezer.Bottom line, after talking with Eric, this company outstanding. He is proud of his work and his company. Im Old School, meaning Ive worked since I was 13 . . . 49 years now, and cant tell you how much I appreciate the old American work ethic, which is so lacking these days. I see this in Central Furniture & Appliance.5 stars to this company and be proud of the work youve done for so many years in the community, and proud of your employees.

We had a great experience from start to finish. Our salesperson, Joey was pleasant and knowledgeable. Matt and Ryan delivered and set up our new appliances. They were professional and courteous.

We ordered a new electric Dryer yesterday and they delivered it today! The two guys that delivered it were very efficient and professional. Best Buy couldnt deliver until May 13th and Central Appliance had a better price for set up and delivery and for taking the old dryer away.

They have a good selection of appliances and furniture to choose from.The sales people are not pushy at all and the location is quite accessible and not that far from Main Street Sandord. Worth the trip here.Be aware, they are not opened on Sundays.

Mark and Matt are great guys. Will do what they can to help you out with your needs. Many different prices points. From starter homes to very high end home goods. Great service team fast and fair.

The owners are the most crooked and rude people i have met.We had spent thousands of dollars here up until our latest experience.We purchased a refrigerator here for $2800 after our previous refrigerator that we purchased here for $1500 stopped working after 5 years. When we purchased the second one we made it very clear that we did not want our next refrigerator to last only 5 years and wanted a longer warranty. We purchased a 5 year warranty and at the time were told it would run after the manufacturer warranty ran out.Well low and behold 5 years later almost to the exact day our second fridge stopped working. Both refrigerators it was the compressor which is not worth replacing.After contacting Mark i was told the warranty we purchased ran concurrent with the manufacturers. That is not what we wanted or were told at the time of purchase.They were not even willing to send out a tech free of charge to diagnose the issue. We paid $55 to another company to tell us it was junk.I will never go back here for so much as a nut or bolt. These two pukes have no right being in business and i will do all i can to deter people from shopping here.

I wouldnt even give it one star but I guess I have to in order to write a review. Purchased over $4000 in appliances called to make an appointment they couldnt even find me in their the data . They had me on the phone for 20 minutes and scheduled an appointment with out my purchase info and never informed me it would be $140 for someone to come out to my home to look at a failed refrigerator flapper / ice maker.Just called and spoke with a woman in service and parts her name is Kim and shes absolutely rude when I mentioned Warrenty with the State of Maine . My appliances are three years old and I guess I will take it up with the state of Maine. Just purchased a second home and went in there for a quote I really glad I didnt buy $5,500 in appliances. Dont buy from this place so many better choices.Just got a return call from Kim prior to this post they they will mark my account not to do service at my home? I know multiple builders in my area and Ill make sure to mention all of this with my current builder whom does business here!
