Great shop. Great selection of new and used. Never felt rushed or pushed into buying anything. Bryan was great and honest. Stayed late and went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. Charley was also great on the finance side and was able to clear up a small issue without any problem at all.All the fear of going to a “Ducati” dealer went out the window within minutes. I recommended them to my neighbor and he went a purchased a bike also. First time rider and is very happy with his purchase.
Stellar service, friendly folks, no pressure, and overall great experience. Also fun to see the other bikes they had around the shop. Left with a new bike and a sweet day of riding.
This is the best Triumph dealer in the Bay (and I visited them all). The showroom is cool. They have a good range of bikes and depth of range (3 colours available in the bike I wanted whereas all other dealers had max 1). And best of all is all the staff are friendly, helpful and willing to work with you on your terms rather than forcing their own sales agenda on you. I bought my bike from Stephen - top guy.
Had a very pleasant time dealing with they guys at the shop. When picking out the bike Bryan was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Picked out a bike that was suitable for me, something that I could get use to and something that I could ride for a long time. When it came down the the financing part, Charlie was very helpfully with getting the best deal for me. He explained everything about the deal in detail. I will definitely be going back to Marin Speed Shop when it is time for an upgrade.
After 3 Yamahas, five Hondas and a Kawasaki, I thought the Triumph 900 GT Pro seemed to meet my riding needs. I walked in with lots of questions, ably answered by Brian and walked out with this gorgeous black 900 GT Pro. For years Ive watched Triumph do what Harley should have done when they were flush with cash, to expand what was a very limited offering into a full line of first rate machines. Everything was above board and they gave me a fair price for my trade in. I did contact other Bay Area Triumph dealers, but none were as cooperative as Marin Speed Shop. The selection of bikes is extraordinary and if youre looking for a low-mileage 8th Gen VFR, they took mine on trade. Its always been garaged and will give someone years of great riding. I traded it only because it does not make a practical commuter. Thanks to Brian and the Speed Shop staff!
I recently purchased a Tiger 900 Rally Pro from Marin Speed Shop and I had a great experience.Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and knowledgeable.I would definitely recommend anyone to stop by their shop.
Had an amazing experience buying my new bike! Picked up a Royal Enfield and couldnt be happier! Bryan was helping us out. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and shared his experience with bikes hes owned. The entire staff was a pleasure to work with! Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new bike.
My husband and I came in to check out the great inventory of new and used bikes. We had a great overall experience with no pressure and got a great deal on our new Triumph Speed Twin. Both Issa and Bryan were very helpful, personable and professional. It was worth the 2 hour drive, we found just what we were looking for!
Came here to get my first bike and Bryan helped me out and made the experience amazing. The energy and people who work here are fun and great!
Great team, very helpful, outstanding customer service. Im very happy with my new Bonneville T120 and my experience at Marin Speed Shop. Highly recommended. And if youre riding through the area, its definitely worth stopping to check out their showroom. They have an amazing selection of Triumph and Ducati bikes. Just, wow... Anyway, thanks again!
Honestly, I was reluctant to give this place a second try after a mix up. Glad I did. Local, quick service and great selection of goodies. Prices are a bit high but hey, convenience is key right? Ben is the guy to speak to for your moto needs. Knowledgeable and direct, no bs. Thumbs up.
In the past I have gone to them for repairs but they seem more worried about selling bikes then supporting their old customers. Too bad. :(
Bought a Bonnie here. The folks were nice, but nothing stands out about the shop. They know you have limited options for buying a new Triumph, and they dont have any interest in doing more than the minimum in selling you a bike.
I worked with Bryan who was super patient with me in choosing a bike that met my needs and size. The whole is beautiful and the service is excellent. Thanks guys!
Definitely my favourite ducati shop in California, Always a great experience whether I am going to pick up a bike or just a key chain they treat everything with top importance
Came to Marin Speed Shop to see a gorgeous used Ducati 749 from their fleet. Everyone was kind and welcoming, ended up purchasing the bike. I was expecting to sell my current Kawasaki Ninja on my own, but I ended up happily settled on a fair trade in deal. Nice! Now the real frosting is that I had some questions regarding the bike after purchase and MSS got it checked out and covered everything. Real heart and integrity with this team.
I went in wanting to trade in my Harley to get a V4 and I cannot believe how painless it was to make a deal happen. Charlie and Brian and fantastic to work with. My experience with them started over the phone and it has been fantastic ever since. Brian is a no BS guy and does everything he can to not only make a deal happen but gain a loyal customer as well. It was worth the 2 hour ride for me and I cannot thank Brian and Charlie enough. I highly encourage and recommend anyone that is looking into getting a motorcycle to go see them because you will not be disappointed. Great selection of motorcycles, great sales people and a great owner = a great experience.
Love me some Marin Speed Shop. I contacted Issa from Colorado as I was looking for both a Triumph Scrambler XE and a Ducati Desert Sled, and wanted to buy both from the same shop. Issa discussed the bikes with me and we came to an agreement. Originally I was going to have them shipped but decided to jump in the truck and drag the trailer 1250 miles to pick them up. Cant say enough about the personal experience provided by Issa, Charlie, and Mia in having the bikes ready as promised. Charlie was unreal in getting both bikes shoehorned into my 5x8 cargo trailer for the 19 hour drive home. The only negative is that Marin Speed Shop and the girls and guys who work there, cant be my personal shop back in Denver. If you are local or not, stop by and give them your business.
Incredible service department. Excellent at projection of completion date and updates along the way. As well as knowledgeable suggestions of other things they see. I got the pleasure of getting my work done by an awesome older gentlemen who has the same passion as I. Wish I could give 6 stars for this. Will definitely return.
Employees are not the friendliest in the world and this is odd considering the market they are in.
Great customer service
Years of dependable service-Ben is a super rad@ss service writer. He provides honest and reliable information, fits me in quickly and follows up no matter how busy the shop gets. Ben has helped me with my Ducatis for many, many years. Rich is awesome!!! He makes everything work out perfectly and a life saver! Max is super helpful as well, making sure everything falls into place and answering every dumb question that comes at him with pure diplomacy. Jesus works his magic and my bikes come back running better than new! Jesus is also very awesome at putting bikes back together when necessary... Thank you all for scheduling bike transportation, fixing my bikes, offering great pricing, and getting them back to me so quickly!!
Great customer service. First time visit for an annual service. Dustin at the front desk did right by me. He scheduled me for a specific drop off time. He checked the bike in as soon as I got there and told me that it would be ready in an hour and a half to two hours. At my previous dealer, I used to have to leave the bike overnight then wait for their calls the next day. Dropping the bike off, grabbing some lunch next door and then picking up the bike was such a pleasant experience. Plus the guys at the counter, Max and Dustin go out of their way to be helpful.
I bought a $15,000 motorcycle from them and they are too busy to do a tire change apparently. They just want to make big sales and RIP you off with overpriced designer garbage. Have fun your better off leaving the county for anything motorcycle related.
Nikki helped me and my wife get the bike of our dreams. The entire experience from the first time I went in to the shop to the moment I drove away on my new bonneville, was pleasant and breezy. She made us feel comfortable and answered all my newbie questions. The whole staff is knowledgeable and very experienced! Both my wife and I honestly feel like we gained a friend out of it and will be going to Marin speed shop for life
Max is the best service writer I’ve had at a dealership. Always a great experience, everything is taken care of and bike is ready to go at promised time.
Went in shopping for a new bike. After discussing details, we settled on a bike. I was pretty sure I wanted that model, as the features and ergonomics agreed with me and my endless hours of research and product comparison, so I arranged for a test ride on a previous (but fairly similar) generation to make sure the character of the motor was what I was looking for.I insisted on working numbers before I test rode, as I dont want to be distracted with playing the dealership price roulette while I was on a test ride. I asked for the PRICE repeatedly, yet I was pushed to do a test ride while they worked up the numbers.Im led outside to the previous generation bike, which was a used model they had for sale. Sales guy starts it up and is blabbering about how awesome it is. One look at the front tire and I shut the bike off. They were going to send me out to test a bike with a cupping, bald, dry-rot front tire on the front of a 140hp motorcycle. The rubber was so hard I could not even depress my finger nail into it. Obviously, this isnt a new bike and used tires are expected, but these were very bad and in reality pretty dangerous to be running. Im sure theyd have no problem selling this to someone if theyre going to send a potential new customer out on it. Mind you, they had replaced the rear tire, because it probably got traded in with cords showing. But nobody looks at the front tire, right?!Well, the fun continues. After going back inside and saying Well Im not going to ride that, that tire is horrible, lets see the price. Salesman sits me down and gives me LITERALLY the MSRP + freight + setup + tax + title, all at a LOW 9.9%!! I started laughing at the guy, and he said What? Well thats just a starting point. What happened to getting me the PRICE ?Well, thanks for wasting my time guys, now Ill waste yours. Im sure theyre going to keep selling clapped out used bikes to rich San Rafael/Marin county know-nothings, but hopefully shrewd bikers or customers head else where to get ripped off.
Good place for Triumph motorscycles, service, parts and moto gear.
Ive bought 3 bikes from these guys. Went in yesterday and saw bike I wanted. Gave them my license and info. Brian said he would hold the bike since I was long time customer. Guess Brian is just not man enough to hold to his word. They sold it to a employee in there shop. If you want typical slim ball used car sales treatment, shop here.Dont go to ACE motorsports or Scuderia west either.Owned by same losers. They have really gone to hell in a hand basket over past several years.
Got my 2018 Street triple RS from here. The Sales and Service departments here are excellent. Max from service is the best service person I have talked to ever.! :) I have had terrible experiences with the service department at Munroe motors in the city and Marin has always been a pleasure. Highly recommend Marin Speed Shop over Munroe Motors!
Manipulative and lying sales. Bold faced lied to me about my APR being 7% that it was set by the bank and they couldnt do anything about that as it was based on my credit. I did my research and knew my credit was excellent and could get a promotional rate of 3.99% at any other dealer. After I pressed them on that APR number they came back and said they could get down to 6%. Sales staff were sleazy used car sales types, wanted to show me all their track pics boasting about how cool they were that they were going to the track. What a joke. Seriously, dont go here. Try Monterrey, CA instead. There are better shops are out there and its worth the extra millage to do business with decent people.
Love this shop! They take care of me like Im family. Even if theres a problem, they reach out to me to make sure Im satisfied or ask how they can help.
Horrible service! They called me in the middle of the tire replacement to tell me they found a possible coolant leak. They asked if they should investigate it. Of course it was nothing, but i was charged for 2 hours. Two people could not explain the bill and where my tire deposit went after the service. They admitted it did not include all the info and was confusing. After they replaced my brakes i noticed a rubbing noise from the front and my rear brakes would no longer disengage the cruise control. Also my front brakes completely failed 3 weeks after this service. They should have their certification removed. If any.
Used buyer beware they have a older ducati listed on the sitethe listing has Great condition. Termi Exhaust! so I call askif they still have the bike as its a 2 hour drive for me answeris yes. So I get there takes them awhile to find it they clearout some bikes so I can get to it so far so good. Then oh ithasnt run in approx 10 years and will take up to 3k in the shopto get it running. Let me get the service manager ya it willbe at least 2K or more then it will run fine while here but youwill probably have an issue once it leaves. The old bikes dontlike to sit like this. This bike is still listed for sale with no mentionof any of this in the listing! So its a no go for this bike we passanother not as old bike on the way out same story its been sittingfor years. Is it for sale yes they give me a price I tell them I needto think about it as I didnt even know about it. After several daysI call back sorry but its priced a little to high for me they drop itto a price that we are both good with. I am suppose to pick itup in 2 days the day before I am suppose to pick it up I get avoice mail sorry its no longer for sale. Why 2 stars because at least I got to see some really rare Ducatiswhile I was there other wise it would have been a total waste of time. You may be OK buying new but on the 2 Used Bikes I wanted to buythis has been the worst dealer experience I have ever had.
Customer service was incredible! James in particular is fun, knowledgeable and very helpful. I wanted to talk to him for hours. The service department did an amazing job getting my V4S recalls (7) done in just 5 days. I rode from Monterey to have my Ducati serviced here because of multiple recommendations, and I will do it again for any of this bikes needs.
Beautiful store!
They have always taken care of my machinery well. I have purchased bikes and have had service done here on several occasions. I think for a European bike specialty shop their labour rates are fair, but still more than you would pay for the type place that services motorcycles and lawnmowers. I found their team has a good attitude and the technicians are always willing to explain what and why.
This place is awesome the service man that help me was so friendly and even though he was busy he went out of his way to find a part that they don’t even sell and ended up just giving it to me at no charge I’ll definitely go back
Best Motorcycle service department in the entire Bay Area. They PICKED UP MY BIKE for service all the way from Concord, got everything done, and DELIVERED it right back to my place ready to go in no time. No BS, got all my questions answered, and now Im looking forward to the next shop ride. Will be getting future bikes and service at this place.
Sales experience was great. When I went to fix a few issues with the bike I wasnt able to get the help I needed and went to Munroe in SF instead.Good people
Great service! I test rode a Ducati Multistrada and received excellent service by Scott. He was super helpful and did a good job explaining everything about the bike. I really enjoyed his helpful and positive attitude and will definitely come back again in the future.
Very nice the staff is just super professional and friendlyI love this place.
The people were helpful, and very experienced good experience....
These guys have gone above and beyond for me with service and quality and knowledgeThe shop is spectacular and makes me feel good about beong a triumph owner.Yeah theyre good
Nice place - nice selection of Ducatis and Triumphs - and nice salespeople. . .except, I left my name/number and they called like 20 times over a week. Avoid if you dont want that kind of sales harrassment/spam.
I have Jim and Matt to thank for my sweet ride that took me from San Francisco to Santa Monica to Napa to Lake Tahoe to Mammoth to Vegas then Seattle back to San Francisco. I highly recommend them and their shop in every way. 5 star service and great people to deal with. Particularly given we negotiated the purchase from Australia so there was a lot of trust involved on both sides. Thank you boyz !!!!
BOTTOM LINE: Absurd pricing for poor service. I question the integrity of the mechanics here. Save your money and go somewhere else.Brought my speed triple in here twice for sevice. First time was to fix a simple problem with the tail lights shorting out. $120 later the same exact problem came back after just a few months.Made the mistake of coming back a 2nd time after a minor accident. They quoted me a bill for literally twice the value of the bike. Told them just to fix the essential items including the handle bars that were off center. When I picked it up, I was told that they installed new handlebars but they were still a little off so you have to keep them slightly on a slant when going straight. But they should be fine. Exact words. I would at least expect them to call me about this problem before me wasting half a Saturday at their shop. They also failed to even tighten the clutch lever, a pretty simple fix I would think. All in all they charged me over $800 for this. Ridiculous.
Great guys, candy store, excellent service! Thanks Bryan!
I never really expected to buy a motorcycle when I walked in 30 minutes before their closing time on a saturday. Well, now I am a happy owner of a gorgeous Ducatti 696 monster . Everybody I interacted with from the first hello was so friendly and welcoming. I want to thank Peter Alford specially for his excellent motorcycle match making abilities . He took his time in listening to my needs. Patiently walked me around his amazing dreamy show room filled with all these gorgeous bikes while thoroughly listing all the pros and cons for each one. Granted that my choices had to be limited due to my 54 stature .... but thanks to their well selected inventory my bike was there waiting for me. Their service department has also been stellar ... thanks again guys :)
Bought a Ducati from friendly and helpful staff. No pushy sales BS.
So good to have a great bike shop in my home town!Mark at Marin Speed Shop booked the appointment for my Ducati’s first annual service. He is friendly and looked after me really well. Made sure all the parts required had come in.I bought a new set of Michelin Pilot Road 5 tires from the shop. They matched Revzilla’s prices. Made the purchase so much easier than having to coordinate things like I used to with my Honda.Malik is the mechanic that worked on my bike. He did a fantastic job! Even cleaned the chain, and removed some scuff marks that I caused with my boots, without me asking. And the bike feels great! Thank you, Malik!Thank you Mark! See you at the next service.
Huge selection of Triumph and Ducati bikes. Building is much larger than it seems from the street, as it inhabits the depth of the block. Nice to see such artfully and meticulously designed and crafted machines. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable., considering that they are merely puny humans inhabiting this Grumbazoon-forsaken planet....Shop very clean and well arranged and maintained. Shop worker drones would be well-suited for prestigious, highly paid positions in planetary systems maintenanceback Home. But I digress....Salesman Isah ( pronounced eesah, dont really have a clue on the spelling ) was especially helpful and amusing. Good sense of humor. Of course, while conversing with him, I got a call from a friend who had locked herself out of her house and I had a spare key, so I had to leave prematurely. ( I had recently made her 5 extra keys, as she has a habit of losing them, but she left them inside her house, where they were useless to everyone except the resident mice, who didnt really need them, as they were already inside.)Also have some cool used bikes, especially Triumph and Ducati.Ill be back........
Interesting airplane hanger type or structure. Lots of Ducati and Triumph bikes. Clean interior. Some gear and accessories, but not a lot.
Very nice team of guys working here. I came over the bridge to check out helmets and was greeted with a hand shake before I even walked inside. I said I needed a new helmet and was directed right where I needed to be. Very knowledgable sales guy, shoot I forgot his name, very intuitive bc the first helmet he showed me ended up being the one I liked the most. it was a perfect fitting SHOEI. I almost bought it on the spot but wanted to think about it over night (get approval from my she-boss) and buy it tomorow. 6 stars for customer service!
I have a big job to be done. They are doing their best to help me. Need to order parts, may take a week, praying that is the case, I can only stay a week at the KOA in pataluma. Thanks to everyone in the shop.
Great people, great customer service, good inventory, slightly overpriced, but they work with you!
Great Spot!Bought my Triumph Scrambler here.Peter was super friendly and helpful! He really hooked me up!
Not a fan. Everything is overpriced and i couldnt find any gloves that fit at any price.
The worst new bike extortion scheme I’ve had attempted in my past 4 bike purchases. I laughed at the guy and left.
Best service by far is any Ducati shop I have been to!
Way to expensive for a tire mount. Even after I bought the tire from the shop directly, they charged $78 to install it saying there was minimum service rate no matter the job. Sorry. Not coming back again.
Great place to buy your next Ducati!
Guys were great, great service, very personable.
Cheerful and helpful employees, finding lowest prices on parts for me
I wasted my time and money going to this shop:My Ducati was overheating at low speed. Fan, was OK, so was the relay, and the fuse was not blown. Fan was not engaging above 210 F as it should. The temperature sensors were correct, both changed.I also told them I have high performance chip (this is an EPROM in the ECU)What I needed them to do is hook it up to the computer (which I do not have) and see if they can engage the fan + anything else they can think of (given that they make living fixing Ducatis and are supposedly Ducati trained). This was to take one hour @ $129 per hour. I figured it is worth as they have equipment and know-how.After one hour was up, I was told that my Ducati is indeed overheating. This was $129 - as if I did not know that!? I asked if they hooked it to the computer - they did not. They wanted more time to charge. At this point I told them that they wasted my time as I do know it is overheating and this was a reason for visiting them. I was told they can not connect it to the computer without taking fairings off. I know this is not true. (you just need to take the seat off - easy). Then I was shown their diagnostic unit having two clips which they need to hook to the battery (in order to get to the battery they need to take fairings off). I told them this is ridiculous as my motorcycle has cigarette lighter power outlet from which they can get power. I was told they do not have cigarette lighter connector type. I told them that in my garage I do have all sorts and it is ridiculous that a mechanic shop like theirs does not have it.At this point I was told to go and fix it myself. I told them I most likely will and do a better job than they do. I asked for my motorcycle back as I lost my trust in them, and had to wait another 30 minutes.I was told that their computer could not turn the fan on. I seriously doubt they even tried.I was told that the problem may be my high-performance chip. I told them that it may be or may be not....This cost me $129 and 3 hrs of time waiting. They did not charge me for 3 hours as they saw me upset and they came up with nothing - neither solution nor diagnosis of the problem. When I got home I saw my neighbor walking the dog and I told him about my experience. The man with the dog said: it may be the thermostatI told him if this turns to be the cause - I will pay him $129. (will post the problem when I find it)Sadly many shops operate on the principle that 95% of the customers are technically ignorant, so any story they give them will be consumed. This is their business model and this is how they make their money - not by honest work.Shame on you Marin Speed Shop! I will never cross your entrance door.!
Super Store located near Richmond Bridge. Very vast assorted motorcycles, sport motor bikes, and mopeds for activities.
Awesome place! Best shop ever
The best moto shop, ever.
Nice people no pressure.
Friendly staff and plenty of bikes to drool over.
Cool bikes
