I came to this store to buy a material and I wanted to pay for payment by phone and the manager came out of a bad temper I do not accept payment as in homedepot that bad

I much prefer visiting here than the Home Depot down the road. Better lumber 100% with additional materials necessary for the job.

Pretty much a one stop shop for me for nearly 33 years when it come to lumber and hardware. Pricing is on the high side though. But the convinence is nearly worth it. The staff too works hard to have and to get what is needed.

In and out. Gave me a cross cut too. Its an actual store! This puts Ace to shame. Every single person was super helpful too. Recommended.

I love this place. Clean, organized yard. Great moulding selections including some exotic wood. Pro hardware for real builders. Knowledgeable window and door folks. You can get anything here. Pro tools, toilets. Everything for the novice to the profesional.

With the rise of big box hardware, it is so refreshing to find a good size, local store with helpful and knowledgeable staff. At the big box stores you virtually need to slide tackle an employee (if you can find one) and often they are mainly useful for finding a product versus being able to talk about the product they sell. There was a time when retailers actually knew about the products they sell, and Im glad Rafael Lumber has held true to that standard. This is also the best damn lumberyard around. I love it for all my DIY projects.

Customer service is terrible. Yard personnel, especially those where molding is kept are surly, antagonistic and discourteous. Some of the counter people display the same traits. The employees working the main store area are generally helpful and courteous. I would rather shop here than Home Depot but not if service continues to be of such low quality. I will take the indifferent, incompetent HD over aggravating contempt shown by SR Lumber. Do the owners and managers ever come out from behind their desks and watch employee / customer interactions? Time to start paying attention.

My favorite place to go for lumber, finishing, or darn near anything hardware related. They have a great variety of items and brands to choose from. While they may not offer the very lowest prices, great deals can still be found. The staff are quite knowledgeable and are very accessible for questions. Lots of parking and a great location.

I went to pick up some lumber and was sent over to Asian older lady at the register. She was RUDE and Condescending to where I was ready to just drop my items on the floor and walk straight out.When I was picking up my lumber out back 3 employees were standing nearby and I brought up her Rudeness and they all agreed that is the way she is everyday. Sad that Rafael Lumber has decided to treat their customers that way.... I guess it is back to the Big Box Store....

They Do not answer the phone.The invoices for projects never reflect the project name.Great selection but not good if you manage more than one project and have workers come in to buy on accounts specific to a project. Every single receipt shows something different in the job reference line.When approached to help in sorting the situation was told it is up to worker alone to make sure the receipt shows the correct address or job description.When I opened the account I expressed in writing that I want the account t to always reflect either the client name or the address regardless who says what ever at the counter. If it goes on my credit card(s), or the clients, I need the client, (home owner), to be able to see the receipt is a purchase toward their project.When a company expects the client to dance around their inadequacies, it is time for a change.

Horrible customer service, treatment is like they were a big corporation, no personal or human interaction, just stay on line, pay and take off, dont ask anything and if you do, expect a rude answer.

Steadily down hill, managers are know it alls no help. go into store, employees seem to be hiding. expensive, and can find same quality at Golden State or Home depot

Everyone knows where everything is with a smile. I havent found better prices in Marin. Great selection, great people. This is my go to hardware store.

Im an electrician but had never gone here for supplies untill recently. I was pleasantly surprised to find the most well organized electrical department Ive EVER seen. All items are front facing, clearly labled and arranged in a way that just seems to make sense. Kudos to the staff and / or the organizational genius behind this.

Employees go out of their way to help you. Everyone is friendly and actually seemed to like their job. Always a good experience.

Place is a joke, no help . Lumber is ok, trim shed is ok, stingy with samples. I asked for 3 samples told 2 was max. Cashier was friendly, guys behind counter lazy

This is specific to the window and door division:The buying process was fast and easy, the quality and service afterwards, terrible.One of my $1,500+ door’s frame was cracked in 2 places and couldn’t be installed (that was 7.5 weeks ago and i still have no eta of a replacement/fix as Rafael Doors claims they aren’t responsible, marvin/integrity is, but gave me no one tofollow up with directly —-so i am stuck waiting for a random call abd my project is stalled).Also, the mirror closet doors i ordered had excess glue all around the frames (crappy workmanship in my opinion) for custom doors.Needless tosay i will not be using them for phase 2 of the renovation.:(
