Eli and Herman were very helpful.They listened to our needs for the vehicle and since we are expecting a baby, they really acknowledged our needs considering that new development.We were going to have to wait another day and my husband was out of town so could not help me with the details so they made arrangements to have the work done that day as I waited.We so appreciate it when our businesses in the community work together with us and other families to lift all of us up!As a business owner myself, it is very important that we consider the overall needs of the clients within the community so as to support each other with our goals.

Satisfied with the work done

While running an errand in San Rafael, my tire deflation warning light came on. I was nearby Toscalito Tire and Automotive, so I stopped there to ask if they could repair my tire. Angel was happy to help and said his mechanics would fix it the same afternoon. Nevertheless, I anticipated a long wait time as other jobs were already in the works, but my tire repair was completed within about an hour . The price was reasonable and the customer service was excellent! Thanks for your help, Angel!

I always have a great experience at this place. Theyre very fair and theyre honest. Theres no hidden tricks or unscrupulous tactics and all of their pricing is up front, which is nice. Theres no attempts to upsell you something you dont need, either. They just tell you whats wrong with your car and how much itll cost with parts and labor.

Easy to make an appointment. John at the front desk was very courteous & explained exactly what was needed done to my Jeep, including future work. Office area & bathroom were very neat & clean. Got my Jeep in during Octoberfest, saved money on my tires and enjoyed having free hot dog, chips, potato salad & soda. Thank you!

Im grateful to say Ive had incredible service with these folks. They took a look at my tires when I needed some assistance bc the tire place I had been going to didnt respond in a way that endeared me to spend more money with them, and Toscalito helped me understand what was going on so I could talk with the previous tire seller in Marin. I ended up going to Toscalito because they were the best deal and my tires came with a warranty. They did a brake job, it was needed and I was expecting it. And then I had an issue with my front fender dangling under the engine and they put it up, fixed it and didnt charge me. My experience was excellent and Im calling them first because of their fine service and good attitude.

With limited options on the weekend to get tire service, Toscalito is probably an okay option for desperate situations, but if you can wait (or do a little research) you are probably better with other less sketchy options. They will try to scam you into buying more than you actually need, and when I visited recently, the guy wouldnt even give me a quote until he had tried to up-sell me on something I didnt need. Even then, he took his sweet time to put in the order so he missed the cut-off time so my only options were to leave my car for a couple of days, or buy something substandard. These guys have no interest in helping a driver who knows little about tires (like most), and probably will find a way to scam a few extra bucks off you if they can. Keep looking if you can.

First trip they messed up a brake job. Second trip they refused to patch a tire in an obvious attempt to up sell me to new tires. There are better cheaper alternatives.

Awesome Customer service and quoted a price for a radiator a lot cheaper than other places. Vehicle was done before the estimated time. Great job guys!!

Not a very nice place. Traveling out of town with a baby. 2 hours from home. Onour way to take baby to Disney on Ice. Had a tire issue. Went there to see if they could look at it. They told us no. Would be a few hours. And wouldn’t even look at it.

Formerly loyal customer will *never* patronize this shop again.First, I took my car in. I needed a full set of tires. They quoted me a higher price than the dealer, but were willing to price match and could get them faster than the dealer. Easy. I drove off, took a road trip, and my tires wont hold air. Not installed properly.I figure they were having a bad day, so when its time to get tires for my husbands car a month later, I return. Again, the price quoted was higher, but though they dropped the price somewhat, they didnt match. Theyre in a more convenient location than the other shop and Ive been happy with their service for over 14 years, so I go for it anyway. As it happens, they dont have time for an alignment when the tires are installed, so I make an appointment to get them done at a time when they can get the car in right away so I dont have to sit there any longer than necessary.I battle Friday traffic for 45 minutes to make the appointment, and when I arrive Im informed that I dont really have an appointment, that they wont be able to get my car in until the end of the day. I wasted 45 minutes driving in traffic to be told that Id get to wait several hours for them to get my car done. Thats exactly what I was aiming to avoid, thanks.Then, in the coup de gras, the guy has the b***s to angrily tell me that I cant possibly expect them to complete the work in the time frame that they have previously quoted me. What? Hello? If I were a mechanic and knew how to do these things *and how long they take* I wouldnt be standing here talking to you.Id prefer to give them zero stars.

These guys are bloody crooks, do not take your car here for repair, I went in for a simple coolant hose leak, they refused the diagnose the car that day, which is fine however then they called me back stating it had a water pump issue as well. Then they continued to find problems and asked for more hoses to be replaced. The resulting bill came out to be over $1200, which was not enough for these thieves. When I went to pick up the car, they told me that now my actuator is not holding any charge and they have to jump my battery...mind you the actuator has had no problem. I paid them the initial bill and left with my car with a battery light which will mean that I will need to get that checked and fixed if they tinkered with it. Leaving your car with them will result them in stealing all your money. Be very careful and avoid this place, these are not honest people.

Ive been here twice now. Once for an intermittent starting issue and once for a broken strut on my Subaru Outback. Im new to Marin and am happy to have found a shop to trust taking my car too.

My check engine light came on again recently, 6 months ago it was on as well an they checked it for me back then, told me it was the egr valve. Back then I decided to wait with fixing it. After having been off for a while it came back on and I had to fix it now because of the smog test that is coming up. They checked it again to see if it was still the same problem and not something additional, but they waived the check fee and only charged me for fixing it. This is just one example of them giving me a break on costs (I could give more), I really like them ;)

Mario and Ramone are stand up mechanics. This is what you look for in an auto shop. They gave us a rough estimate of cost for fixing two tires (cheaper than normal) when we arrived. We mentioned a belt issue as well. We arrived an hour and a half late (6:30), and had not picked up the phone for them all day by accident. They had waited for us, and went ahead and fixed the tires and belts! Ramone only charged us for the tires when they obviously put more work in than that was worth! Cant say enough! Our car was in shotty shape, and driving away it felt worlds different. Im pretty sure they did an alignment for free too. They wouldnt let us leave without diagnosing our headlight too. These guys arent trying to rip you off like most mechanics. Family owned business.
