My 2013 Fiat had some electrical issues and deferred maintenance. My experience at R&I automotive was fantastic. Jason was responsive, transparent and educated me along the way. I was on a budget and Jason worked with me to let me know what items could wait a few months and what should be taken care of immediately. All the car problems were solved for exactly the amount of what the quote stated. Really liked the fact that he was able to text/email me the quote with all the details before determining what immediate work I needed done. Highly recommend!

Did a comprehensive check on the entire car and recommended the 90,000 mi service that I had not done. Kept me well informed throughout the service. Fair pricing & excellent service.This was the third quote I’d gotten on a service, because road trip. They matched the lowest rural quote for replacing a cracked exhaust pipe. Jason recommended a detailed inspection after glancing closer for 5 minutes for free and deciding that wasn’t an issue… Their senior mechanic drove me home when I dropped off the car and the inspection saved me thousands in repairs, worth more than the car. I am so glad I took my car here! It was making a weird noise that I thought would end up requiring a new clutch. Thankfully, after a very thorough and fairly priced inspection, the mechanics let me know that previous work I had done at another shop left my axle somewhat loose, and recommended i take it back there to correct their malpractice. Thankfully the guys at R & I were correct! I just took my car back to the prior shop so they could tighten everything back down, but now I will be returning to R & I for future work/repairs due to their honesty, helpfulness and professionalism! After 2 very different services provided by R&I (oil change and body part replacement), I will trust their suggestions and expertise moving forward. They put a shield guard on the catalytic converter of my Prius. Very prompt and professional service on the day, and were very helpful in explaining how it worked.

These people are awesome. Courteous, professional, fast, very helpful, and reasonably priced. Most importantly to me, they do not take advantage of women who arent knowledgeable about the technical workings of automobiles. I’ve been going to R&I for about 15 years and trust them to keep my current car running (going on 13 years!). Ray and Jason have always been thorough in their assessments of repairs or maintenance needed but rather than pressure me into doing it all at once, are willing to explain and help me prioritize based on what I can afford to spend.

Im new to the area. I saw an ad online for R&I auto ac work. I called and spoke with Jason. He was nice, knowledgble, and took the time to explain what would be done to my car initially. He also gave me the coupon price I saw in the online ad. Unfortunately, it would cost over a grand to get my 2001 Hondas ac to work properly. Oh well. I still appreciate their honesty and work. (Sorry I dont give anyone 5 stars unless theyre impeccable!)

This was a bit of a nightmare for me but Jason made it so much better in addition to finding out that my engine had a recall. My car was having engine trouble and literally basically dying on me within an hour. Engine light came on in the morning and by the tome I made it to work it just started to just slow down before I could even let it do anymore I parked at my job and started my search for a mechanic. I called Hyundai which is my go to and closer to home they weren’t helpful at all. My brother did some research and noticed R&I was experienced in Hyundai vehicles. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to continue my service with R&I because of the recall. But everything was very professional and I felt very comfortable and was dealt with very reasonably.

My battery was shot and Jason had me scheduled that same day and sent me off driving with a new battery in under the time he quoted me.Everyone was super pleasant, professional and helpful. I highly recommend R & I Automotive.Plus, if you are driving down Freitas Pkwy, you will get to see the beautiful mural of poppies painted on a wooden fence on your way (If you are heading NE). Just an additional bonus!

I’ve been bringing my Jeep Cherokee here for 3 years for everything like oil changes, new tires, new brakes. I feel like the prices are fair and the work is good. I only have 1 car and my family’s safety depends on a reliable car.

R&I Charged us 800$ for very unsure diagnostics only to tell us that a 4000$ repair may or may not fix the problem with our engines head. We decided to pull out because we are not in the market to pay 4000$ for a fix that might not even solve the problem. So we rented a U-Haul to relocate our truck, communicated with R&I automotive to get it out of their engine bay so we could pick it up. We arrived at R&I only to find out that they had locked our truck down in their engine bay for the night, after the fact that we communicated with them that we were coming to get our truck. Keep in mind this is after we put a 1000$ deposit on the work, so its not like they were waiting to get paid before releasing our truck to us. They are very nice people and I dont think they intended for this to happen, but this whole situation was really stressful for my family.

First time experience with Jason & the team at R&I and definitely will be going back. What I initially thought was either a starter/relay issue, or worse something to do with the alternator, Jason I formed me that my dead car was a simple oversight of a dome lamp being left on. I could easily see other places going ahead with the costly repair(s), but Jason’s honesty and integrity is why I’ll definitely be returning. Thank you, guys.

Great service, they really take care of the customer. I needed a smog certificate any the smog shop recommended that I do some work in order to pass. I had the work done at R&I, brought it back for the certificate, but they still wouldn’t issue it. The guys at R&I took the car to the smog shop and explained the work to them and got my certificate fo me. That saved me a lot of time and aggravation dealing with the smog shop. That was going the extra mile to satisfy their customer. They are professionals who know their business and get the job done right. I highly recommend them.

Pretty expensive for an oil change even with a coupon. They rotated my tires and apparently checked the pressure. The psi was way off on two tires and I had to fill them up myself.
