I am extremely happy with the service at MSI. I needed major work done on my 04 Outback.Curtis and the crew there got it done, and for far less money than any other shops had estimated.I have been to shops that do everything but.. not smog, or not ac repairs, or what have you.I can attest that this shop does all that stuff.I appreciate the straightforward trustworthiness and skill that this shop provides and am so glad to have discovered them for repairs and maintenance on my car!

Curtis really knows his stuff and he cares about what the right thing to do for you is, not just the best way to make money. I brought him a fairly unique Subaru build and he fixed the issue much faster than I expected and he went the extra mile to make sure that my car runs perfectly.

I recently had an oil pressure sensor replaced on my dodge. The repair took an hour and a half longer than originally expected, but it sounded like it was a challenging area to access. The final cost was $40 more than the original estimate, but I appreciate that they used an OEM part and Im confident the job was done correctly. All the other customers who came and left while I was there seemed to be pleased with their service as well.

This is my go to repair shop. My car ALWAYS comes out repaired and running great. Curtis is honest and when I have been on a budget, he has leveled with me what I should repair in order of importance and I worked down the list (as I am not ready for a new car and payment, and want hold on to my present car).Having a good mechanic is as important as a good Doctor. You want someone who can diagnose the problem, and fix it! Over the years I have gotten to know them all and feel comfortable calling them with any question. They get me right in and have always taken great care of me. I made the mistake of going somewhere closer to home, only to find that no one could figure out what was wrong with my car. It was a costly error. I will never stray again... Thanks Marin Sports and Imports!!

This is the place for all your auto repairs needs. I have too many cars and always need oil changes, maintenance services and the occasional engine lights coming on after days of driving hard.Curtis and his wife run a great auto repair shop. I never have to worry of unexpected repairs or extras on bills. Curtis and his team are professional, to the point. They get the job done at the best price. I have used them for over 15 years and have never been disappointing. Only once, I used a different shop and I ended up at Marin Sports and Imports so they could fix what other could not.

Curtis and company always do a great job to keep our cars running. I had 2 different Volvos, both older, and he took such good care of them. Now we have 2 Fords, and they are both being taken care of, too. Marti at the desk is always helpful, they are great with scheduling and very considerate and professional. They do a great job that we can always count on! Fair prices, too. Thanks, you guys!

I traveled from Los Angeles to visit a friend in San Rafael my car was having problems. I currently drive a Mercedes S550 and thing started stalling and having some weird error codes come up. I looked online and came across Marin Sports and found they had good reviews. More important they were Diamond Certified. I pulled up to the place and was greeted by the owner Curtis who by the way offered some coffee and offered to diagnosis the car. We found the issue to be a computer problem and he showed me exactly what was going on with my Mercedes. After getting a quote I took my car to Mercedes and was quoted twice as much for the same repair. I always check around before getting my car fixed to ensure the mechanic who originally quoted diagnosed the problem correctly in which he did. I took my car back to Curtis and had my car fixed within 5 hours. He had to order the part and have it picked up from Mercedes. Overall my experience at this shop was excellent and the mechanic was honest and fair with his pricing. If I lived in San Rafael I would continue to use him but I am going back to Los Angeles in a week. Thanks Curtis!

Very pleased with the service here. I received a fair quote for the repair ($178 vs. $325 from the dealer); they explained the problem along the way; and only charged labor, since parts were unnecessary.

The staff here impressed me from start to finish in every way. The owner (Curtis? he bears a striking resemblance to Sir Richard Branson) put in extra time and effort to troubleshoot the exact cause of a warning code that came up on my 2008 MBZ C-Class.Then he patiently explained what the code was telling him, and recommended inexpensive ways to address it (not the over-the-top pricey solution offered by MBZ).He also performed the 60,000 mile service at HALF THE COST the dealership had quoted me for the same work. The work was completed in the amount of time they said it would take. But he spent extra time with me, helped me, and didnt charge for it. Plus, he explained it in a way (what the heck is a sprocket??) to me that was not impatient or condescending - just kind, clear and simple.Im sold 100% on this place - and will encourage all my friends to use them. They are honest and dont try to snow you or gouge you. They even have a well-stocked candy dish (chocolate) and a well-stocked, comfortable waiting room (People magazine and periodicals women read - not a bunch of magazines about cars and motorcycles, etc. Though they have those too-for the guys!)
