My experience was 5stars PLUS!!! The team here are so kind and efficient and GREAT communicators. The front office ladies are the sweetest and most helpful!! I felt like everybody here cared about me and my vehicle. They take pride in their work and it is appreciated. Peter Romero specifically went above and beyond!! He cared about the lack of professionalism from my insurance company, he cared that I was treated fairly and honestly. He took such good care of me and helped me through an extremely difficult situation with my insurance company. He helped me with the correspondence, and going up to bat for me with them from start to finish. I know if it wasn’t for Peter my car would still be sitting there with no action being taken place. If you have any attention to detail and care about your vehicle do not use G and C.I am not sure why there are so many positive reviews.Their was good communication from the start. However the work did not match.Someone tried to steal my Ford Ranger in Oakland and damaged the driver side door lock and the ignition.G and C replaced the door and ignition components.When I went to pick up the truck the driver side window was extremely difficult to roll up and down (manual window), the door panel mount was broken, the door latch was tight, there were runs in the paint, and the key did not open the passenger door lock.G and C fixed the problems, minus the door panel mount and the window. The window is not the same as before.I dont usually bad mouth people. But there is no quality control at G and C. There is clearly no pride in the work being completed here.Find another shopEdit:I am updating my review to 4 starts because G and C reached out and fixed some issues.They replaced the window regulator, fixed the runs in the door jams, and corrected the overspray.I appreciate their effort to complete the job to a higher standard. I cant talk more highly about this company. From start to finish there service was A+++. I dealt with mike and Steven and both of them always answered there phone whenever I called or if they were busy always called me that same day. I was nervous at first because we all know how autobody companies can be and they were nothing of that sort. I explained to them that I was coming out of pocket for this so I needed to try and bring the cost down and they did exactly that. I would not recommend going to any other body shop unless you want to be pushed around and be charged an arm and a leg. If I could give them more stars I would. This is probably my fifth or sixth body shop that I have been to in the last 15 years and BELIEVE ME THEY ARE THE BEST, DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE !

Have had several very positive experiences with G&C over the years involving different cars and situations and have always meant to write a review, but was finally inspired yesterday when I took a brand new car that had been hit by flying debris on the freeway (think it was a roofing shingle?) and had nasty black marks across the front bumper and hood that I couldnt get out and I couldnt tell how bad the damage was... I was resigned to probably making my first insurance claim on the new car when Kevin walked out to take a look at it... he said wait just a second Ill be back and returned with a container of solvent and a cloth... in a few minutes he had totally removed all of the marks and the car looked like new again... I was so relieved and impressed and was going to offer a tip but he refused... I could go into details on my prior experiences with G&C but suffice it to say their customer service is impeccable and the bodywork Ive experienced is outstanding... great work!

Great communication and fast repair

I rarely leave bad reviews but my experience with G&C has been horrible. First, I scheduled an appointment for an estimate but when I came in for it they had no record of my appointment. The same woman who was working that day was the one I spoke to on the phone yet she had no recollection of our conversation. Luckily a technician was there and was able to assess my car. He was very kind and promised me an estimate by email ASAP.Unfortunately, this estimate didnt come and still hasnt! I called G&C the day after my appointment asking when I might get my quote from the technician, when she went to look up my information she couldnt find me in the system....Once again they had forgotten about me. I am finally transferred to the technicians phone line, I leave a message kindly asking for a call back and estimated date for the quote. I never hear back. Its been almost a week and I have heard absolutely nothing.I usually wouldnt make such a fuss about this but to say the least G&C doesnt seem to care about customer service or acquiring new business. Its a huge disappointment and I dont think Ill be recommending their services any time soon.

These guys are THE BEST. I had a wonderful experience recently when my car was involved in an accident and the other partys insurance company assumed responsibility for the repair. As a senior citizen, I certainly have had my fair share of experiences with Auto Body shops; some good, some bad. Without question, G&C was the best experience I ever had. They are professional, honest, reasonable, customer- oriented, informative and very skilled. If you choose to use them, you can be assured that you can trust them and that their work will be first rate.

I used to be regular customer and repair all four my cars till last Monday incident. My car (Porsche) got in a car accident and it was not my fault what means I needed to wait till I get all the paperwork and claim # from police. It was a late Sunday night at the time my car was towed and I as a regular customer asked to tow it to G&C repair shop address. I came to the office early morning 7:30AM asking for help to take my car, but I got reply back, that they accept by appointment only and will not accept my car to be even parked at their place. As I said before, car was towed to and is not suitable for driving (and what is actually dangerous to do so and G&C was fine with that putting me in that danger since I was asked to move the car). Because it was not my fault I was still waiting for claim # and that persons insurance to proceed at the early Monday morning I arrived and that it will take up to ONE business day. That was main point why they did not even want to talk to me about further process. (Even though I just got my other car back from repair shop on Friday... Yeah things happen, two cars almost at the same time). So they just kicked me out with the car in wrecking condition and let me figure out on my own what should I do. So since I was kicked out without any help, I found another great repair shop on the same street where I will be bringing my all 4 cars when I need it. They supported me emotionally as after G&C I was in complete shock and did not know what to do with the car which is completely crashed. I cannt manage things with the repair shop who are not able to help their regular customers during emergency.

These guys are the best you can ask for. You bring the car in and from than on they take car of everything, from getting you a loaner to dealing with the insurance. They send you updates on what’s happening with your car as frequently as you want and already the first day they tell you when you can pick your car up. I worked with Antony and the guy was super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Hopefully I won’t need their service again but if it happens I’ll definitely pick them again.

Unfortunately, I have been a repeat customer, with an old car, a beater and a new car, and each time the entire staff was excellent! Professional, fun, courteous, helpful, relaxed me, helped get a rental car and the insurance company in, on time. I wanted to have a side mirror replaced. MBZ wanted 392.00 and G&C found one and replaced it for less than half. Yes it took two days, but completely worth it.Highly recommend. Fair prices, great service.

My Prius was sideswiped in a hit and run accident. G&C did an amazing job with the body work. Unfortunately, I had to take the car back in twice because it was making a weird sound. Sierra was the person working on my case. She was on top of it and handled everything in a professional matter. She dealt with my insurance company for me and kept me updated along the way until the problem was resolved. I recommend their services.

This is the second time Ive used G&C Auto Body, and if anything, my experience was more positive than the last time (which was also a 5 star experience). I showed up for my damage assessment appointment early, but was waited on immediately. The inspection was quick and thorough, and I was on my way within a half hour. As promised, they called on Tuesdays and Thursdays, letting me know the progress of the repair. The car was ready a day or so ahead of when they thought it would be, and the job they did was outstanding. I have a difficult color to match (three steps), and they hit it right on. Highly recommend this shop to anyone requiring body work on their vehicle.

No complaints; only compliments. I dont know what the out of pocket cost would have been, because I went through insurance. But the folks were friendly and knowledgeable. And they entertained and addressed all the questions I had about the word they did, both before and after the fact.

Second time in less than a year and it went very smooth and professional. They had everything I needed there, Insurance rep, loaner car and Judy ? the longtime office manager was fantastic. It was no muss no fuss so to speak.

So far I am truly disappointed. They had our car for an insurance claim repair. Said it was completed and it looks like a teenager in 1st year body shop repaired it. Now they say its a month before we can get it back in the shop. I will update this review after March 18th when that say we can have the car repaired again.

Back in 2015, I was hit in a parking lot by a person who wasn’t paying attention backing out of a parking space while she was in on her cell phone. I went to G&C to have the repairs taken care, given that I never had any auto body repairs before and my insurance company strongly referred me to use them, so I went there. I knew I had the option to go anywhere I wanted to handle the repairs, but G&C was so reparable that I felt comfortable having the repairs handled through them. I was a little skeptical of the outcome of the repairs given this is my first experience having something like this handled. I was kept up to date frequently with the repairs, and everything got handled in just a week! After it all, I couldn’t have been more happier with the process and how my first car turned out after the repairs. I highly recommend G&C as a repair destination for any vehicle!
