The cutest and nicest owners. They are seriously the best! Hope they read the reviews and know how awesome they are!
Big rip off!! They charge $3.99 for some old stale pork buns. Save your money and take a drive to any Asian bakery in San Francisco where you can get a fresh pork bun for a dollar. Never again will I shop here, they should be ashamed of themselves
Small asian supermarket with good selection.
Super nice owners. They take EBT food stamps. They have fresh food by the checkout, the veggie wraps are so good! Excellent supply of Indian food, spices, jars of curry.
I LOVE going to this little store! They have every ingredient I ever wanted for cooking chinese or japanese dishes.
Good selection in a small space. Very friendly and helpful staff
Only decent Asian market in Marin County.
Great small local business for finding Asian ingredients in Marin without trekking to SF or Richmond. Owners are kind and helpful, happy to order anything you need but cant find.
Friendly service and a good variety of asian products.
The store is a little small, but has most of the basic Asian food supplies. We got mapu tofu sauce and laoganma there.
This market is an amazing resource to have available in the Marin community. Very knowledgeable and helpful. They carry a few select organic options that are nice to have access to. Recommended
I get all the food I miss from my childhood
Small place but very usefull.
Great store.Very nice and Helpful Staff
I really enjoy visiting the Asian Market on Mary Street in San Rafael, right across from Whole Foods. They always have whatever I need when I am cooking Asian specialties, like Singapore noodles. The owners are wonderful and helpful in guiding me to their stock, and the prices are very reasonable.
Went in to get boba tapioca peals. One of the staff showed me exactly where to find it, and there were a couple different options I could choose from. Great selection, fair prices. Definitely will be back.
They have al sorts of Asian foods! And they are super friendly
Our local go-to-Asian-Market. Expect greetings from the friendly family who owns this special place. They have a free parking lot, with a great location. This is a small store with a decent variety of fresh vegs, fruit, meat & fish, and what you need for kitchen staples with reasonable pricing. Were regulars for 2 yrs, and happy with this quaint market, and finding anything comparable isnt easy in Marin. :)
Friendly and welcoming staff.
A convenient market for Asian foods. According to my Japanese wife, it has a good selection of Japanese food staples. There are other Asian countries foods, too. Its not as good or as extensive selection for fresh fish, meat, vegetables, or fruit as Nijiya Markets, but its on the Marin side of the bridges, the nearest Asian market to Sleepy Hollow. We filled the shopping cart and could use a Visa card. The proprietor was friendly and helpful, and offered advice to call in advance to order fresh sushi and meat.
I love this place! This is a small family owned business with lots of variety and quality products. I can indulge in fresh yummy foods as well like, Ban Mi sandwich, fresh rice noodles, shrimp dim sum, & other lunch foods. I love their produce, sauces, and coconut rice cookies. The fresh roasted garlic peanuts are delicious!
Happy they have an Asian grocery food store in Marin. Not a great selection, but not bad.
Not the best Asian market, but the only Asian market in Marin County. They have the basics for Chinese, Thai or Vietnamese food.Fresh bamboo and fresh tofu...the essentials.
I shop here all the time. Having lived in South and Southeast Asia for 8 years, I can confirm that this little store has an unbelievably comprehensive selection of Asian condiments from every Asian cuisine imaginable. Stuff you wont find anywhere else. At least not north of the Golden Gate. And all at good prices.Theyve also got a good selection of Chinese herbal remedies, and a small but good quality produce & protein section.Get stuff here at 30% less than at nearby Whole Foods.
A place one can count on for Chinese seasonings. Also a candy store
Great Service.
Good selection for a small store, dontexpect every option but they have a lot of options to make dishes if you cantfind the specific brand there are options (like the miso soup options in the fridge are a good variety). Some of the produce was missing price labels. Helpful staff.
I love this little Asian market it has so many things I cant find anywhere else around the bay area its really a great little store inconspicuous and easy to miss its near another grocery store in a shopping center and it has a small little parking lot that is hard to find parking sometimes depending on the time of day but give it a try and see for yourself if you like it you probably wont be disappointed I know I wasnt I will continue to shop here many times in the future.
I love Asian Market. My husband and I are doing our best to get out of debt. We started shopping here and were able to cut our shopping down by $50 each trip. We used to price match at Walmart, but now we dont have to. We actually save more money by shopping at Asian Market then at San Rafael.
Great store to Shop & It’s Definitely A More Pricey Asian Market, But They Have a Large Selection of Products You Can’t Find Anywhere Else! So it’s to be expected🤗The Owner is The Most Helpful & Kind Person Ever! Thank you👌🏼🎀😉🎐
Great store, everything you need. Not 5* because of the poor lobsters and other live animals :(
Im actually pretty amazed that this place has so much stuff for how small it is. I was able to find most of what I needed for any of my Japanese recipes. The store owners were also very attentive and friendly. Ill definitely be coming here again.
This market is AMAZING! They have everything you could possibly want for cooking asian-based cuisine. Clean and well organized with a very helpful staff. Plenty of parking made my quick trip for a green curry extravaganza a breeze! Will definitely shop their again.
A great little Asian market, and my go-to spot in Marin. It may not have the scale of 99 Ranch, but they have a wide and reliable selection, particularly with sauces and noodles, both dried and fresh. There is always a good selection of prepared food at the register, including bao, zongzi, banh mi, sticky rice, and more. The owners are very friendly and helpful as well.
U wanna cook Asian....if this store doesnt have it it doesnt exist....couple own the store....man is very nice...his wife too but can be moody n not likeable...but the stuff they sell is always good...
Nice to have a Asian market around were you can find specific items to finish of a oriental meal.
A good selection of goods. Be ready to pay cash.
Manager was very helpful and friendly. Good variety of asian food products from China, Korea, India, and more.
Theives.I’ve stopped shopping at this market for a while now since I caught them putting my bill and extra $25 a couple of years ago. My husband still shops there on occasion. Today my husband caught them commiting the same thievery with him. The funny thing is that when you go back and discuss it with them they deny it flatly until you go over the math with them item by item. No apologies either. They’re definitely skimming their customers. If you insist on shopping with them I advise you to always check your bill item by item. Otherwise take a trip over to El Cerrito and shop at 99 Ranch where you’ll find better deals and much more variety.
Good selection, decent prices. Honestly its one of the handful of Asian markets in the North Bay, which makes this place worth its weight in gold.
The ONLY Asian products store in central Marin. Good selection and very helpful owners. Prices are decent.
For a small store it carries a significant variety of mostly Japanese n Thai raw ingredients and Chinese fresh backed goods. Sure it is a bit pricey but it is also local.
Both owners are very knowledgeable about every single item they have in their store.
Super helpful staff, always have fresh noodles dumplings, and sometimes specialty items at the front. It looks a little cluttered, but there is a method to the madness. They also have a fresh produce display where they have thai basil, chinese broccoli, bok choy, etc
Very helpful staff, and I was able to find some items I couldnt find anywhere else in Marin.
Great selection
Glad and Very Pleased lost for a moment without SuM excellent ingredients and spices all Werth Da Price My Asian Market away from Oakland Ca ChinaTown.... happiCamper
This is a little market overflowing with variety and authentic Asian products in the heart of Marin county. The owners will answer your questions and help you find what youre looking for.
Love this place. Well stocked market for all your asian cooking needs and the owners and staff are super friendly. Get there early and they have fresh made noodles and Char Siu Bao
They wont let you return the moldy food, I used to be there very often, never again.
Closed Sundays. Stock up on thai paste and chow mein noodles.
The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I
This place is small. Limited offering. High prices.
Its a great local spot
Great store but price is a little bit high.
This is the only place to get your Asian food supplies!
This dude knows what he is doing. Havent been in here once and not found what I needed, not to mention the owners are very friendly and helpful.
Great place
Lots of things you need and plenty of things you want.
Small market, good prices on basics.
Ethnic items but very expressive
Friendly owners. Selection of items is rather small, but it has the essentials for Chinese cooking.
Not a good selection and overpriced...
Has everything and inexpensive
Very helpful and had what i needed
Totally agree with the comment that the prices are a bit high. They ARE the only game in town; I drive from Mill Valley to do my Asian grocery/produce shopping to avoid driving to SF where I grew up. But the prices in the San Francisco Asian groceries are on average 30% cheaper than Asian Market in San Rafael.
Got what I needed but was much pricier than expected...
I’m asian
My new go place for my shoyu needs
Its a Hidden Gem
Very limited choices. Vegetables are old and dry. The owner, an Asian lady in her 40s I guess, is so serious and rude.
GOOD.
Yum yum
😘😘😘😘
There may be a subtlety of what you think is an Asian food store. Is the fresh food particularly severe? There are many kinds in a small store, so its hard to find them. Also, its inconvenient that you cant pay with a card.
It is a small place but they have everything
Miy kind
The boss is very nice and takes good care of us
You find very curious products
