They have nice workers there. Ive gone here every once in a while over the years but recently had to spend quite a bit for a family memorial and its supplies. They didnt disappoint.

Great selection but prices are a bit high on some items. Clean and well organized store. Lines can get a bit long. High staff turnover means clerks vary widely in knowledge of the products available.

Very well organized and stocked. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The young lady at the check stand was very friendly and went above and beyond to help me.

Meh. Lots of neat stuff I want, but nothing I actually need. In the end I had to resort to the internet, where all things can be found. Its a good place to find stuff to turn into a project, but if you need something specific for a project youre working on, youll probably be SOL just like me.

Hadnt been to Michaels in ages. Enjoyed just browsing around and getting good ideas for when my grandchildren come to visit. Hope Michaels stays open when alot of other stores have been forced to close down. We need a store like Michaels to give us arts and crafts and diversions.....

Lots of every major kind of crafting, with a good amount of niche/new activities. It was only bare in a couple of areas, thanks to co-vid, probably. Customer service was a bit sparse on the floor, as everyone was busy the couple of times I needed help. Perfectly pleasant experience with a bonus -- the shrinky dink sheets were on sale! Im going to try making tiny wings for... something

Their curbside pickup service is great! Fast, friendly, and accurate. Just park in one of the labeled spots, call the store phone number, give them your online order number, and they’ll bring it right to your car. Very safe experience, and I’ll be back when I need more craft supplies.

The store was fine, a little outdated, and the clerk at the register was extremely pleasant, bubbly, and very helpful. However, there was a woman that I soon realized was FOLLOWING my friend and I throughout the store the entire time that we shopped there and it became very insulting and uncomfortable. We could only assume that maybe she was some sort of unmarked security or theft prevention employee??? Who knows.... But what I do know for sure is that she caused us to cut short our visit to that store where we were prepared to spend much more money .... BUYING things.... NOT AT ALL STEALING THEM!!!

Experience: This Michaels is great for your craft/decorating needs. Definitely the go-to in San Rafael.Pros: They carry really everything that’s online and have good stock of it. Their online ordering is easy to use and pickup at store is simple. They also have a great floral selection and quality.Cons: Can be disorganized at times. Staff could be more helpful.

Oct 3 and all the Halloween stuff was already put away! Also store manager has been rude on several occasions. Going downhill from what it used to be.

Picture framing people with a little rude ask them for help and they just pointed even though they were not busy and they were try to overcharge me 4 the frame and frame them but one of the ladies came and help me out

Michaels is pretty good when your in a pinch and need something now.I shop for oil painting supplies. They have a modest amount of basics. Because of Covid many distribution of supplies is limited. However, they remain a decent place for general art supplies.

Prepare to buy more than anticipated, theyve mastered impulse buying. Is a lot of fun, great to send your kids with the grandparents and let them go nuts spoiling.

I honestly like Michaels, but its crowded, and people are supposed to be socially distancing but theyre not. I would recommend coming here in the morning, when its not crowded. Stay safe!

Yes, Michaels has everything you can imagine, except enough help to locate everything. . . . One person on the floor, very efficient mind you, but just one. Four people at the registers made checkout fast. All associates were very friendly, however, even the one doing the customer service on the sales floor. Im not complaining, just say. .. .

Michaels is a great craft supply resource, and the people at this location in San Rafael are really helpful. They seem to enjoy working there, which makes me want to shop there. Things are easy to find, and if you do have trouble, Ive never had a hard time being someone to help me.

I had left the store with a $34 shadow box. Since it was on special buy one get one free I went back for the second one expecting a hassle. I happy to say that the young guy and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Im a very happy shopper.

They have everything. I make special cards for people and they have everything I need. Good sales! Definitely bring a coupon from you Sunday paper! Or online. Very reasonable framing deals too. Employees are super friendly.anf helpful. And on Saturday they have a craft kid day where you can come being the kids to make all kinds of things. Very fun to come here!

Great store that is very reliable when you are feeling truly crafty. You can always find awesome supplies and this is honestly the best place to go in Marin county because there are not many craft stores to choose from. I will admit, it is a little bit pricey but, the quality of the products is always amazing and worth every penny.

Michaels best store around I feel I do a lot of craft work I make blankets I know I could Shay I sew Leather by hand right now making a gorgeous blanket for my bed for once make hats all kinds of stuff they have everything there a little expensive but they do have great deals download the app to your phone and hit when they have deals it will pop up on your phone and tell you ahead of time it is pretty awesome sometimes you even get 70% off on things most the time you get 25 to 40% off on things which is still a great deal.

You need to work on customer service not enough employees with product knowledge. A simple hi, how may I help you and can I help you with anything else. Would be a huge Improvement.

I have been taking my daughter to Michaels for years for arts and crafts supplies - crayons, paints, soap making.... Now its all about slime supplies! Oh well, at least it gets her off of the devices. The employees are helpful and theres a great selection of stuff.

Okay look, theyve got just about everything for your crafting needs here. All the way down to miniature pieces of food for your models kits. However in order to find anything you have to contend with small aisles, hard to find staff and then usually a solitary cashier. All told, if youre willing to spend a little extra effort in looking around, youll probably find what you need.

My wife shops here at least once a week. She can find lots of useful items she feels she needs at home

Went for engraving transfer paper & fabric glue. They had both. This chains stores, has the most complete fabric/hobby maker items inventory I think Ive ever seen. It very difficult to get sales assistance. They dont exactly staff well. But if you have time, or dont mind self helping yourself, this store can be a blast.

Im a crafty woman who loves to make anything, topiaries, jewelries ... and I have been going to Michael store for over 12 years and I just love this store. They always offer the coupons so the price is great and people are helpful too.

Make sure you check your phone for the best online coupons. Michaels makes it a real pain to get discounts but their selection of creative Ziggy is the best.

It offers you the ability to buy pre-made goods to help decorate your home, customize your artwork with a tremendous selection of frames including custom orders to house your art work and even includes all the things you need to create your own work if art by selling everything from quality paints (books “how to” paint any genre you can imagine), canvas, low to high end paper and for those who love collage or other types of art that don’t require paint like jewelry they sell it all!The prices are phenomenal but YOU MUST GET YOUR COUPONS! Sign up for their membership program and you will find deals constantly in your email box or less constant reminders if you prefer via text! The coupons come with the text via link if I remember correctly.Lastly, I like the service folks on the floor. The only negative is checkout. It always appears to be a bit arduous with a long line and unclear direction on how to bypass all the “specials” for a dollar or so that leave your child in absolute want so you leave the store slightly irritated on occasion because of the wait and when your coupons are not eligible.Oh, I have not participated in a class yet, they offer classes all the time. The vary in degree of difficulty, time, expense and so on. They also the equivalent of half day camps for kids as well! I always think “that would be great” for myself to attend but I am disabled and getting anywhere in time is impossible if I make it at all when it comes to “optional” things but the nicest offering is they have online tutorials. They include step by step instructions which serve as classes for those too busy or physically incapable of sitting anywhere for more than 29-30 minutes!Go there-you will find something...even if it is just a sale photo album or storage piece! Check it out! I recommend it!
