I got my new electric acoustic guitar here. They allowed me to take all the time I needed to choose a guitar. I love the wide selection of guitars they have and neat the store is. Good costumer service too.

I had made an online purchase from this store many months ago. There was an issue with the set-up on the guitar. Once the store knew there was an issue they went out of their way to help me and make it right. I am very happy with their prompt response.

Guitar Center can be a little intimidating for someone just getting into music, but the staff here seem pretty friendly and knowledgeable. Usually I know what I want to buy before coming here, and the store is pretty organized, so it makes things easy to find. Ive done online pickups from here, and also returned and exchanged a couple of things with no hassle. They have a couple of reserved parking stalls by their entrance for curbside pickup, which is nice.

Chad is a total bell end. Came in to talk about a used buy in. He first of all saw me from the other side of the counter and instead of walking over those few steps, just wags his heads quickly and expects me to talk. I want to sell, he doesnt have time to test it out and flatly tells me to go take a walk at myself. I could not believe me eyes. How does this guy have a job?!?!

I have gotten two guitars in my life: a Cordoba classic guitar two years ago, and a Fender Strat last December. Both I got at this Guitar Center. They were patient and thorough, giving me all the space to try many different guitars before I could feel comfortable with my selection. They also were amenable to negotiating the price for the protection plan, since I bought the electric guitar, an amp, and a few more items to go with them (cable, strap, picks, etc.)I will continue to go to this store, although it no longer is the nearest none to me.

I have always told my niece its better than Disneyland. Now that she is 6, she always asks to go so we can play drums and guitars and pianos!

All you need for music in one awesome place! Its great to go and not be quite sure of what you need but the staff is patient to help you figure out along with you and truly be knowledgeable on everything the store offers.

Always super fun to hang out here. Service is great and as if the staff could read your mind (in a very good way of course).

These guys are wonderful, with excellent customer service. I was looking for a digital piano and the moment I walked in the store I was greeted and assisted - with a wealth of information - on the various options and features. Staff and store management are super courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, low pressure. Would definitely recommend.

Today was my first visit to this store. They have plenty of sales folks on the floor to help with questions. Friendly but not pushy. Easy parking.

Just dont go here, they are genuinely mean here, and they hate anyone coming into the store. Its a toxic environment, shop online or go to your local music store, especially if you are a happy type person they are especially rude to you if they detect kindness.

I’d say this place has a pretty decent stock of electric and acoustic guitars. If there’s a guitar you think it’d be a hard find, this place likely might have it. Pretty good electric Ibanez selections as well as some of the usual fenders. There are others like Schecters etc too. Though there aren’t much of the more popular acoustic brands at this store you’d normally find in a guitar shop. I found a Breedlove here so I was happy. The staff is nice too.

Most of the employees are very rude and disrespectful. One little guy comes up and tells me, you need to turn down..Im like its not even loud whats up with that? He then says well, your playing isnt any good so.. unbelievable arrogance, and an unprofessional representation of Guitar Center to say the least.

They were helpful over the phone, and Julissa provided excellent service in store. Had both a return and new purchase, both went smoothly and efficiently. Only a few employees in the store, but every one of them were genuinely helping customers get the equipment they wanted. Great store that seems to be run quite well. Will be returning next time I decide to add to or upgrade my equipment.

I picked up an amp here recently, (using contactless curbside pickup which was very easy and smooth) and when I brought it home, it was broken. Something to do with a fuse i think. When I brought it back with the receipt, they quickly replaced it with no problem. When they didnt have the same amp that I purchased, instead of ordering one and making me wait, they just upgraded me. The whole thing was great service and very easy.

I ordered online and it was shipped from this store. They emailed me a tracking number that didn’t work. There was a different tracking number on my package. The manager said he would refund me for shipping, he made changes to my purchase history but no refund. I emailed him 7 days later and instantly received the refund. Also lied about the shipping date. I was told it shipped on Wednesday then an employee called saying it shipped on Thursday. Definitely my last purchase with guitar center.

The prices at this music store chain are fantastic compared to competitors. Unfortunately the employees most of the time,, have not a single clue nor would like to assist you appropriately in your search. Unless they are the general manager or a high up. If you are starting out with music, you actually have a high chance of walking out of there with something you dont need. Although great prices and selection of music equipment.

Guitar Center really amazing place the folks there are super helpful. My Veteran Buddy Jose was given a nice Yamaha as donation.. He needed new strings. We got to the center wasnt too long before staff had it restrung and guitar tuned up .. Got the strings in tuned up out the door 15 minutes..

One of the best stores to spend time in, good vibe even with the Corona limitations (10 people max, masks, lots of hand sanitizer... After all its a touch-rich environment...). Kids love the place and I tend to spend money I dont have on some thing or other I dont need but really like. Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and courteous. Their inventory looked a bit thin this last visit, but with COVID-19, that would be expected I should think. Guitar repair guy missing in action... Bring him back please.

We were able to rent out a drum kit for $80 (weekend). The staff was really helpful in guiding our drummer through the drum set being rented and then loading / unloading of the drum kit. Excellent place, heaven for musicians, must visit.

There are so much more than guitars here. Everything you might need to play music. The variety and quality is amazing and make you wish you knew how to play an instrument. Took off a star though because I was overwhelmed by all the choices. I went in for some drumsticks as a Christmas present, only to find out there are like 100 different kinds and no one ever came up and asked if I needed some help. Definitely under staffed

My Family and I really enjoy shopping at this particular location. Ive visited several others (Stevens Creek, San Jose etc) & the quality of expertise/willingness to help was just not there. Perhaps things have changed now; hopefully! Ive bought lots of equipment/ Instruments for my Church & referred others too. I just had another great customer experience at Guitar Center. My daughter has an acoustic guitar set up for a right handed player. But, its now going to my son whos a lefty.So, I worked with Mike in the repair department to convert it. He did a great job super fast. He also advised me to get a better bag to protect my investment, which I did.I appreciate the opportunity to work with an expert. Thats what Guitar Center offers.

Mario toured me around and helped me get the guitars off the tracks as I tried many guitars. Other staff helpful with gear setup and instrument knowledge. Overall friendly and inviting staff, good selection, knowledgeable staff.

The older tattooed gentleman was extremely rude when I asked about a price for some display model cymbals.If you’re so proud to be a drummer for 45 years, clean up your drum room. It was a total disaster with sticks, loose cymbals and equipment everywhere. Half of the cymbals had no locks on them, I’m sure corporate would be stoked.

One of the best shops that I can regain my music in. This place taught me to how I am with my guitar skills today and for that I am forever grateful to it. Walking in the shop is like walking in to my room because everything is supposed to make you feel like it. People may have their negative perspective of the shop, but you wont know unless you go in. All workers are very helpful and very nice. Despite what people might say about the shop, I say this shop is legit in every way. Trust that if they dont have what you want, they will tell you they dont have it. But if they do, they will work on everything they can just to provide your needs. Stop by the shop and explore its greatness.

Cool staff, big store but inventory was all over the place.

I frequent this location and I am always impressed with the high level of customer service and knowledge. I also just had a guitar repaired by the stores guitar tech Mike who is fantastic and really went the extra mile to make sure that my guitar was back in top top shape!

Bought an LP player online through the store and all I can say is if it wasn’t for Jordan who helped me through several hiccups with the order I may not have given Guitar Center a second chance. Would give Jordan 10 stars for his knowledge, patience, and absolutely stellar customer service. Thank you Jordan for helping me out so many times and making things right.

Customer service is very slow. Once I was able to get somebodysattention the salesperson immediately began to upsell me to more expensive equipment.

Super cool, play anything before buying..staff are mostly musicians so they know whats up and can normally help you with anything. They do tuning of most instruments too for a fair price too.

A fascinating place that offers music lessons and is open to enthusiasts trying out guitars, amps, keyboards, and other gear to their satisfaction. The staff is very cooperative and friendly.

It was a nice setting. Great place, it was busy but still we got the help we needed.

Fairly standard Guitar Center. I am not really a big fan of this chain of stores in general, but this one wasnt terrible. However, they didnt have a couple of things that I needed to buy for a gift. My main problem with the place was that the staff has a weird vibe and since its right next to a Trader Joes it has a really crappy parking lot situation.

Friendly staff, mostly helpful and not pushy. If you know what you want then its a good experience. Like anything else (buying a car, washing machine, etc), do your homework before going in and you will find GC to be a pretty nice place stocked with a decent selection of instruments you want to either check out in person or purchase.

Excellent customer service. This location also has a music school built in, great spot to take lessons from local professional musicians. Its a sprawling sales floor with basically everything you could possibly need.

Oh this is my favorite place, there I bought my uke, and it was really good, I also bought a guitar and it was perfect sound, the people who worked there was really polite and chill

Huge selection of instruments. I went there to check out the new Roland td17kvx. They have a lot of models of edrums available to try. Great selection of acoustic kits as we. The guys in the shop are really friendly and always ready to answer questions !

Bought a lot of items including iLoud speaker and the staff that processed my item was very friendly, but the next day as I was trying to return one item which was a music book for reason that I selected the wrong book, I was immediately greeted by one of the staff and informed me that I cannot return the book because its copyrighted, he didnt even want to hear my reason and making me feel that I did something to the book like scan it or something. If they only inspected the book, if it was scanned, there would be no evidence that it was even opened. Not going back to this store location because of the one very rude staff.

Into music or thinking of learning or is your guitar simply strung out and need a new pickup- then go here for just about anything related to music and equipment. Youll be glad you did!

I come to this store every summer when I visit my family in town. I usually purchase something to support the fact that they are enabling me to physically see musical equipment and instruments as opposed to just a picture and a video review online. Sadly, there must not be many other people who share my appreciation for this possibility. I say this because I find that on each annual visit, the gear on display becomes less and less as well as of a cheaper and lower-end type. I dont blame them, its a sign of the times and they must not have demand for anything better, but it gives me the feeling that this is more of a beginners hobby shop. The guitar section still offers a relatively broad range of choices but if you are looking for cool home/semi pro or pro studio gear, this is not the place. I am sad that my yearly purchases will go to an online supplier this time.

The employees really care about their customers here! I always feel they go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.

Staff was disrespectful. 3 staff were in the cashier area. I went to the closer register where 2 white men were talking. They had their backs to me but when they turned and saw an Asian, they both walked away. The third staff who looked Asian then called me to his register which was farther. I am disabled and have difficulty walking.

When I turned twenty I decided I had to have a banjo. After a week my roommates gave me an ultimatum and I had to return my banjo. At this particular Guitar Center both the purchase and the return were extremely easy.

We just come to play on all their instruments, and its awesome!

Sadly didnt have the $20 etymotics earplugs I wanted in stock, but after finding a knowledgeable salesperson they managed to sell me on some at twice the price :) but they turned out to work as well as he claimed so, fine. The place is a little intimidating to a nonmusician like me but cool.

Went to the store at 7 am on Black Friday. I wanted to buy a Bose L1 stick (a $2,000 purchase). I spent over an hour demo-ing several configurations. I was told they had the one I wanted in stock. I made up my mind to buy it and then I was told... oh.... sorry... its in the back but it is an opened box and we cant give you the sale price. Then I was told 5 minutes later, actually we only have one of the two pieces and we cant discount it. I was really bummed.... I live 5 hours away and came to buy something. They had two floor models that were priced $200 below the sale price of the new units. They were both scuffed up and they were unwilling to budge on the price even though I had been there for 3 hours and was told they had what I wanted and then they changed the story. If they would have given me a reasonable price on one I would have bought it and been happy. The guy that helped me was nice and professional and he did what he could but the manager wouldnt budge. I ended up driving to Palo Alto and bought $2,100 worth of gear direct from Bose. They gave me a better price and discounted a mixer for me that Guitar Center didnt have. All in all I made out with a better deal and now if anything goes wrong I deal with Bose, not GC. I have bought lots of gear from Guitar Center over the past 20 years. I will never buy anything from them again. By the way... If you want a Bose L1 system.... buy it direct from Bose. They will price match Guitar Center and their customer service is superior. I never leave reviews.... but this experience really turned me off. Shop elsewhere. Sweetwater online, Amazon, Bose, anywhere but Guitar Center.

Unfortunately I have to be honest and say this is the worst Guitar Center out of the immediate 3 in the area. Id suggest that anyone go to either the one in San Jose or Emeryville before this one.
