The covid drive-thru testing is awful. My wife and I did a covid test here and both of our tests were rejected due to invalid data. We did the same test the next day with carbon health and we got a result back within an hour.
No one was helping the pick-up in the afternoon, even though there were 15 people in the line.
Extremely poor customer service at the drive through
Refused to print me a receipt and then when I said I would need to return what I purchased as my purchase was on a corporate card they somehow could miraculously print me a receipt. Will not be returning.
I took one of my Patient there With Mild DD Both blind and deaf to get his Tetanus Shot and we waited for 15 minutes to get help and there were no customers there at the time. Young Asian Pharmacist was hesitant on helping us and they were all laughing at the back and we ca see them! I brought 2 extra help to help with the process because our client being blind He get scared of shots. This young Pharmacy’s was very hesitant barely tried to Inject the serum and refuses to administer the shot! I’ve been working in this field for 16 years I’ve never been refuse or denied of help specially for a developmental patient!..Either this guy need more experienced or need some learning because we had to go through a lot to get there
I work in a Dr Office and I cannot get through to the pharmacy!. I have been working with another Walgreens pharmacy who has not been able to get through. We have trying since Sunday and today is Monday and it is a emergency and no one can get through to help!!!!!! You cannot have a phone system that does not work!! Cant even get a hold of the store or store manager!!! No other Walgreens pharmacys can get through, they do not have a back line set up. Online it states it is is least busiest time!! What is going on??????
The staff didn’t seem to know where I could find the items I needed
I edited my review, reason why two years ago the service was horrible not enough employees, always messing up with insurance. Medication not being ready when its supposed to be.But I can now say 2 years later they have got their stuff together and Im happy with the people and the service there now.Wouldnt hesitate using Walgreens pharmacy on 3rd Avenue San Mateo I use them all the time and my experience has been great for quite a while now.The main pharmacist that works there is really helpful and a really nice guy and always willing to help any way he can to get your medications to you.
Most times I try to use the convenience of this local store I am disappointed. Check times, says its open till 11PM, go in at 9PM and photo kiosk is shut down. I ask and they say were short-staffed, but THEYRE KIOSKS. They do not require staff intervention. Check for product availability online and see a price of $19.99. Go in and shelf says product is $21.99. Ridiculous. Go to register, rings up as $22.99 and staff says youre wrong. Go BACK to shelf, items listed on shelf as $21.99. The management of this store is terrible, avoid unless you MUST.
Extremely poor customer service. I came right at 11pm, and I knew exactly what I wanted, but the manager rudely say no and showed zero sympathy. They dont care about their customers.
Conveniently located in downtown San Mateo. Nice place to go and pick up OTC medication and basic household supplies!
A nice older Indian gentlemen (Alvin or Arvin?) helped refund a clipper card for me. It was pretty hectic inside but he stayed relaxed and helped all the customers.
I only use the drive through and its quite convenient
Generally to be avoided but if you need pain meds for the kidney stone just diagnosed on a CAT scan at the hospital up the street ... oh wait, you will wander aimlessly through the aisles for 20-30 minutes in a haze of pain anyway. There is nothing to recommend about this place for typical customers, although if you need a prescription filled slowly and possibly inaccurately, or if you enjoy browsing the shelves for items that should be but arent there, you should give this Walgreens location a try. CVS I miss you.
Rude staff (at least in the pharmacy), always a hot mess with long lines, coming here is a big nope.
Nothing outstanding nor horrible. At least there is a parking lot because parking in the area kinda stinks. Been using this place for years. Never had an issue.
Its not bad, somehow the smaller walgreens are always better. Its big and have lots of products. The staff is fine.I honestly prefer going to the ones in Burlingame.
Has a parking lot which is free. When my Dad died, was able to return unused diapers for full refund. No questions asked.
Not a bad store. Has a drive through but the store can get busy at times.
Today when attempting to exchange a defective can of Axe Daily Fragrance bought 4/5 days ago I was told by store staff without a reciept there was nothing we can do. Who saves reciepts 4/5 days? Not me. But theres something I CAN DO! Ill be doing my shopping elsewhere thankyou.
Almost gave this place 3 stars because the cashier was rude and quick to get me out of the store, but the photo center is awsome they took care of me real fast with prints I needed within an hour they got it done in 15min. And it was on mothers day 😲
Friendly neighborhood grocery store. Sometimes the wait is long though.
I wish I can give 0 star. Horrible service and attitude! I was told to wait at the photo counter and no one ever showed up.
Worst pharmacy ever. Had the doctor send in the prescription. Waited in line for an hour and when I finally get up there it says it will be 5 minutes. 10-15 minutes later our name FINALLY show on the board then saying it will be another 30 minutes. Really?!?!?!?
Obscene amounts of candy around the front of the store. Also if you want to take advantage of a sale, they need your address, phone, birth date. Unhealthy AND invasive. I find it disturbing when pharmacies are chock full of things that are making us sick.
Don’t staff pharmacy well. Always a very long wait.
Long wait at photo department
Terrible service.
Nice place
There is ALWAYS a long line.
Super slow long line
Great....
Typical Walgreens.
Slowest
This Wallgreens place is not as big as others but it has the basics and something else. There are face and body creams, makeup items, vitamins, over-the-counter medicines, toiletries such as shampoos, deodorants, soaps, etc. You could not miss the section of snacks and sodas, treats for Halloween, etc. It has a section to print photos too. The attention in box is good and fast.
Limited and good service except for the front door cashiers, manager and mangr assistants. Excellent, pharmacy very congested all the time, electrical problems make this pharmacy close more than usual.
