Outstanding service and friendliness! Needed a brush drive belt for a Bissell carpet cleaner ... on Sunday. They dont carry Bissell, but brought the old belt hoping there was some cross-reference guide that would help find one that fit. The friendly man behind the counter didnt need one! He looked through the usual ones on the wall and then in a box with unusual ones - and found the Bissell factory belt I needed. His smile was even bigger than mine. This is the only place I will go as long as he is there!

I thought my vaccum was broken. I sent them pictures and they reassured my vacumm was not broken. I was able to figure out later that the band was not set properly. Thank you for your honesty.

Super nice fellows work here. I needed my sewing machine fixed fast to make mask orders, it had seized up. They got it fixed in 1 day. Very grateful and happy!!!!

We went through numerous “new” vacuums that were rated really high, went into A-1 and the very professional and helpful gentleman sold us a vacuum that the hotel/resorts use and hands down - “The” best vacuum ever! We’ve had it for at least 10 years and with just a few maintenance visits (belts, etc) it has far paid for itself. I highly recommend A-1. Won’t go anywhere else!

He sold me a belt for $3 for an old Hoover vacuum. Then I discovered that it also needed another cheap part. I didnt really need the Hoover because I already had a newer vacuum. So I took the brand new, unused belt back but he refused to give me a refund. Then I offered to give him the vacuum for free, which he could repair for about five bucks, and then sell for a small profit). He still refused to give me a refund. I dont want to hurt his small business because hes probably a hard-working owner, but just I had to say something about my experience. Best of luck to him.

I took my sewing machine to A-1 for a tune-up. When I got it home I didnt use it for maybe a month. When I did a piece near the bobbin was missing. I took it back to A-1 and he wouldnt stand behind his work. I had to buy another piece which cost me $13.00. When I did get my machine going again it did work well. Thats why I gave them a 3 instead of a 1. I wont return because even if they do make a mistake they dont stand behind their work.

The man behind the counter greeted me with a big smile and a hello even tho he was speaking with another customer. From that point my entire experience there was so warm, friendly and helpful. I will most definitely be going back there for all the vacuum needs

These guys are solid. Service with a smile- they do a great job tuning up vacuums, are honest, and priced very reasonably. There prices are great on vacuum purchases too, but they dont sell junk.

Reason for visit: Repair of Eureka Vacuum control electric connection.The nozzles electric component that attaches to the power motor had broken.Oscar was the person who served me. He assured me it would be ready next day. He was pretty rough with my vacuum not taking care and knocked the vacuum around which can scratch and damage the plastic casing. Analogy, you take a car to be repaired and the service technician is rough with the paint job.Next day I called and the service repair man who answered, (not Oscar) said it was not ready and it was in a line with other to be repaired items. He thought it would be a few more days at least.I went in later in the week and picked up the vacuum and charged the repair. Oscar had also looked at the Hepa filter and told me he needed to change it for $20. I declined having it changed and bought 2 filters through Walmart for $10.00 hmm. Dont think much of trying to increase their revenue by charging a high price for a generic filter.I brought the vacuum home put it away and didnt think about it for a few days. When I went to use it the whole plastic casing was opened and the electric connection exposed. It cannot connect to the fitted wand which runs the secondary motor because its pulled out of the casing and is not fixed properly.I called Oscar who was very rude and yelled at me over the phone. It needs to be repaired again and I will not allow this shop to take it in and possibly break it permanently again. Hopefully I can find a proper service for it and get it fixed. I wouldnt recommend A1 Sewing & Vacuum theyre not professional. Beware.

Honest and do a good job...who can ask for more....oh yeah, they open early, close late and have weekend hours.
