I hired this company to replace two exterior faucets. On the front exterior faucet, the seal between the pipe and the exterior house wall was broken and frayed. While the plumber replaced the faucet, he ignored the seal. I was not present at the time of the repair. Another adult in my household was present. When I arrived home after the repair was done, I noticed that the seal had not been repaired. I called Woods Comfort and expressed my disappointment. The woman I spoke with told me that someone would get back with me. No one did. I called a second time, later the same week, and complained a second time. Again, the woman I spoke with told that someone would get back with me. No one has. Instead, they have sent me an email and asked me to review them! The seal should have been repaired. I have attached a photo. Notice the seal. This is what Wood Comfort considers to be a repaired faucet. I was charged $424 for two faucets. This is what I got for my money. Very dissatisfied.

From the start of the process until the very end of the installation, Jacob and Miles were amazing! Three new TOTO toilets including a washlet were installed perfectly. Literally, from my first phone call to book the service to the follow-up with an estimate everyone from Wood Comfort have been responsive, professional and courteous.We are going to use them again for the additional TOTO Washlet that was just delivered for the 4th bathroom and also a gas line for a fireplace. Roy Lewis was my Tec that came out to fix my system and was honest and professional and clearly experienced. I had another company that was just trying to get money from me, give me terrible news. They were responsible for installing bathroom vent fans along with a/c in our new build.Firstly, they left the installation book in our a/c unit unattached and we had faulty a/c problems as a result. This did not get resolved completely. Our a/c ducts were not attached properly and it caused condensation in our attic to pool for a few months until this was noticed. I’m not a professional and this is my first home, so this was not exactly the service I thought I would have in a new build.The last two summers, the length in time I’ve had the home, I have had leaks in my bathroom vents. I have called them to have their contractors tell me they were routed wrong and condensation is causing pooling in my vent tubes. I have called them repeatedly for some follow up on getting this fixed! They have told me they will call me back on a few occasions now to resolve this issue and they have not. I have had to call them with no answer on when I will be getting this fixed.This is not great service. I do very few reviews because I understand things happen and bad days are bad days, but this is not acceptable service.

Woods is fantastic! They replaced my HVAC system December 2020 and did a great job then. A couple days ago my thermostat stopped working. On Sunday night I sent a message requesting an appointment and early Monday morning I already had a call from them. They accomodated my work schedule and had a technician out to me Monday afternoon. Tech Michael Gomez was great and even took the time to get the app setup on my phone to control the thermostat.

I had to replace both the interior and exterior units of my heat pump. From the sales advisement by Cary to the installation by Chris and Justin, the experience was the best that one could imagine. Cary provided definitive information in response to my questions in order to decide on full replacement of my heat pump. The installation was well done with orderly routing of all plumbing, electrical wires, and refrigerant lines.

From Susan answering the phone, listening to my situation (lightening struck close by and blew out my electricity, WiFi router, and air-conditioner transformer) and putting me on the schedule for same-day Saturday service to Michael Eisenhauer showing up a few hours later checking the fuse and then replacing the transformer…which he had on hand. Personable and professional. Will definitely call on them again when I need AC service!

Royce with Woods Comfort Systems came out and replaced my water heater, along with a few other minor plumbing needs. He was professional, courteous, fast, helpful, and super knowledgeable! I dont know for the love of me why this company has as many good reviews as it has. In my opinion if you want a good job done at an honest price do not hire these people. Theyre rude and discourteous and very unprofessional and way overpriced. To me thats all the reasons not to hire somebody. On top of that they didnt even fix the problem they came to fix. We had to wind up hiring a completely different company to come in and do the job properly.

This is the best HVAC company Ive ever dealt with. We had to replace our old heat pump. Everyone with the company was friendly, polite, and professional. There was no pressure to up-sell us a more expensive or larger unit. On the day of the install, the crew arrived on time and immediately went to work. One of the guys got sick so a supervisor came out and took his place. The install was flawless. Woods also offers a guarantee that no one else does. I cannot overstate how impressed I am with Woods Comfort Systems of San Marcos.

They tried to charge us $900 + $65 service fee to drop in an existing sink and hook up two pipes.. but justified it by offering a 15% discount for first-time customers... Absolutely ridiculous thinking they can charge people that for an hours worth of work tops.

With such a large purchase, there is always a certain amount of trepidation; however, the professionalism of everyone from Jim who gave us our estimate to Justin and Chris who did our install surpassed our expectations. Travis was sent out by Woods to look at the REME-Halo not working. The a/c units and additional equipment were all installed approx 5 months ago. I haven’t been really impressed with the Daikon units but Woods has been great at sending people out to address the issues. Hopefully Travis got it fixed and it works now!

The installers from Woods were professional and did an excellent job on the install of our new A/C system. The existing platform on the old unit was not built correctly which caused drain issues. The Woods technicians rebuilt the platform and fixed duct work that the other company messed up. The new unit really works amazingly well. So much more efficient. Woods is always responsive and complete with their service calls.

After years of using a competitor I finally decided enough was enough and gave Woods a call. My first experience was a consult with Cary who was top notch! One of the nicest, and down to Earth guys I have ever dealt with. He solved a problem almost instantaneously, something the previous companies failed to do. He turned a quick bid and got me on my way to a scheduled repair. In the mean time, we had to have an emergency re-charge done and Woods got to us THE SAME DAY! I know thats not normal but very much appreciated. The assigned technician was Karl, who was on time, friendly, professional and extremely helpful. He took the time to check out everything he needed to do, all the while being in an attic that was easily 110 degrees. Karl took care of the needed re-charge on the outside unit and was on his way. I have no doubt the big replacement service next week will go very well.**Update **Service techs Christian and Leland just finished up installing our new coil, refrigerant drier, aux pan and reconfigured our plenum/ductwork (original install from the builder was incorrect and severely hindering our 2nd floor airflow). I couldnt be happier. The guys were on time, cordial, answered all of my questions and worked their butts off for about 5 hours. We are very happy to have a cool house again!

My experience with the service overall was good. It is very easy and quick to get an appointment for the service that I needed. The technician that came out was informative, polite, and thorough. The problem was found very quickly.But it was upsetting to hear that the coil needed to be replaced after only four years. I would’ve thought the equipment would’ve been better quality.

Amazing response time from Woods Comfort. Came out in a foot of snow (once in a lifetime in Austin) after we had a pipe burst and had to shut off our water. Weve been using Woods since 2015 when they replaced the 1st of 3 heat pump systems. We started using their spring and fall maintenance services. In 2018 they replaced our 2nd system. Earlier this year, they replaced one of our hot water heaters. They do outstanding work and hire qualified, courteous and knowledgeable technicians. Their office staff--Brittany and Jadyn --are super. Weve just replaced our 3rd heat pump system with Woods. On this job, Chris and Jesus were excellent--taking great care to protect carpets and finishes. Michael Gomez came to our house to repair the AC unit. We had been out of town and the temperature in the house was 84 when we returned. He came and determined there was a leak in one of the freon lines. He repaired the leak, checked the system for leaks after the repair and filled the system with freon. He was on time, service oriented, committed to making sure we were satisfied with his diagnosis of the problem, and stayed until 10:00 PM repairing the system. He is an asset to Woods Comfort Systems and is an excellent representative of the company.

Summary: absolutely top-notch company - as long as you stay on top of themAfter getting quotes from 6 different HVAC companies for a total replacement of our two HVAC units, we felt confident choosing Woods. They had the best quote, the quote was easy to understand, and their options for available systems were more varied and better than all of the other major HVAC companies in the Austin area. The rep we met with, Cary, was also very thorough in his assessment and took lots of time to answer all of our questions and walk us through everything. Their financing options were incredible and they got the work scheduled and completed about a week after we confirmed with them. The tech that came out to do the installation, Saul, Chris, and Jesus were also very thorough and did an absolutely beautiful job of installing the systems. They wanted to be absolutely certain that we were happy with the job they did, and with one exception, we definitely were.That one exception is that they installed the wrong air purifier system, an issue that after multiple contacts to Woods, still has not been resolved or even scheduled to be fixed. I even called ahead before the installation to make sure that they would be installing the ozone-less LED version of the air purifier and not the cheaper, standard version, as we were concerned from the reviews we had read that the UV version produced an ozone smell that gave some people headaches. They assured me that it was. When the techs walked me through the install, I noticed that it was not the LED version, but the cheaper UV version. I contacted the sales rep who said that they must have grabbed the wrong ones and they would be out to swap them with the right ones. After not hearing anything for a couple days, I reached out again and was told that they had been having problems with the LED versions and suggested I stick with the UV ones, although they had a fix for the issue. I told them I preferred the LED version with the fix, and they promised to contact me to schedule a time to come out. Several days later, still no contact, so I reach out AGAIN. They promise to get back to me to schedule a time for them to come out, but I still havent heard anything today.So, Im giving them the benefit of the doubt that they will eventually swap out for the components that were originally promised, but their communication and follow-up has left quite a bit to be desired. Depending on the outcome and how long it takes them to fix the issue, I may switch this to 3 stars.

Today Michael Gomez, a technician from Woods Comfort Systems, came to my new home to check on our AC system. From the moment he stepped into my home (wearing shoe coverings!) he was professional, pleasant and extremely helpful. He figured out the issues with our AC system, checked on our warranty (thank goodness we were), and took the necessary steps to get our AC system back on track. Very appreciative of Mr. Gomez and Woods for helping us get our system back to working order.

The service men were polite, but tried to push a sale on me. My home is pre-plumbed and I will purchase the equipment separately. All I need them to do is install it properly so that the equipment warranty will hold.I will look elsewhere for an installer as I dont believe $1500+ is a fair fee.
