I frequented this establishment when I lived in Carlsbad, CA.A decent collection of tubes and the owner is a HAM guy - all good. The bad is that when I called for some nice 7308 receiving tubes, and I asked if the tubes were tested for microphonics, the response from RF Parts, Customer service was - YOUR NOT ONE OF THOSE AUDIOPHILES, ARE YOU?I told the guy, that I was an audiophile, and that the price of $100 per tube is because of guys like me...without audiophiles, these tubes would never sell at such a premium. You cant just have it one way. Dorky stuff.ADDENDUM After posting this feedback, I received a call from the co-owner of RF Part...shows that she cares - a good thing, maybe. She started off composed and told me how this hurts her business. I reiterated that the post is 100% factual, but I was open to deleting it. As the conversation continued the co-owner became agitated and accusatory - claiming the event described never happened and that I fabricated the story. I pointed out that she was making derogatory comments about my character after knowing me for five minutes on the phone. This person would not stop escalating - so I concluded the call.If you need tubes, transformers, or other parts, a google will reveal many other options and you can avoid a unpleasant buying experience and follow up phone calls! I will avoid this place like the Bat Plague.
Actually, very useful.
True definition of a mom and pop store. Call by phone, theyre very helpful.
Ordered 3 new rectifier tubes, received 1 new tube. The other 2 tubes I paid for were never received. Instead they sent me two used/ old/ blown defective tubes (the 2 old tubes were both shorted). This scam is bait and switch fraud + mail fraud.I used to buy from this vendor but, I will never order from this vendor again....BEWARE.
Quality parts at good prices, RF Parts is my primary source for parts.
I have been send this company for support since weeks but no reply .. i wonder if they are still there ..
