Staff is quite friendly and always extremely helpful. Happy to answer any questions you may have and never in a hurry. They are customer oriented to the max.

Game Stop has added so many things other than just video games. They have character clothing, board games, computer equipment, etc. I love this place.

I purchased the Sims 4 (used) for PS4 and after nearly 2 hours of install I was told the game couldn’t open.Obviously upset, I drove the 35 minutes back to the store and they happily gave me a new disc and even offered install advise.My replacement disc works perfectly! Very easy replacement process!

GameStop has an amazing environment for gamers, nerds and just collectors In general. Hey your pop culture fix here. Im not much of a gamer so I cant talk on the trade in side of things now what I can say as a collector is that, when you purchase a collectible figure, youre able to order another kind of it and theyll order it to the store for you with the choice of paying 5 dollars towards the item (s) or the full price. GameStop is a great place to look for mainstream and non-mainstream games and off the cuff knick knacks/gifts/gamer needs. The staff are friendly and attentive. The prices are decent and if youre buying used, Ive never had an issue with the discs. I thought the GameStop Pro membership used to be free and point based only...guess changing times call for a bit more of the Mighty Dollar calling the shots. Overall, still a great store for the avid gamer, intermediate, or novice. A treasure trove of games for all levels and ages of gamers.

Friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Plenty of games and merchandise to choose. They had some good sales going on when I visited. No real problems with this location. I liked it.

Loved the variety in vinyl figures and collectables (bought a large pop vinyl, and some Borderlands display glasses), boyfriend loved browsing the games. The workers were helpful and wonderful as well. I hope they get even more variety/an even bigger store.Edit: The Nicholas is really nice employee there, Id recommend him for all your gamestop needs, and has a wonderful sense of humor!

Well first time here to buy grandson game for his switch.and its pretty decent priced.i am glad they had a young man that answered my questions about what type of game to get for a five year old.and i purchased a game that fit him.thanks game stop.they also have used games.

Staff is great and friendly. Only issue is that Gamestop stopped doing midnight releases. Borderlands 3 release they had a party the day before release while handing out golden key codes, I couldnt get that day off work so I didnt get one. Those codes shouldve been reserved for all preorder customers first and extras to the first come first serve that did not preorder.

Love the gaming community the people there know there stuff and can help with almost every question never had any attitude always smiles

Been to this location several times and always had trouble with the employees.Went in today to trade a controller and some other stuff and Norman the manager tried to charge me a refurbishment fee for no reason, even though he test it twice and it worked fine. I always have to go to another location or best buy to get what I need. San Marcos gamestop needs some customer service training asap.

Never had a bad experience at this GameStop location. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and NOT PUSHY! Always a plus from GameStop. Its gotten a little cramped as they have started selling more merch than games but still a good place to go for help finding something new.

Best price on ps3 ps4 games but not good for selling old games best to yard sell them you can get more from them

The friendly staff are always knowledgeable about the merchandise and truly help customers. The best thing about this store is the deals and bonuses with Pre orders. The worst thing is the trade in value of your games, but that is industry wide.

Prices here are lower than other gamestops that Ive been too for some odd reason, and the people here are so cool !! The staff is so nice!!! I just here them gossip a bit to much, which is fine, we all do it, but they should at least keep it a low voice so that we cant hear or wait till we leave other than that, good customers service.

Last three times Ive visited this location the games were out of order the staff had very little knowledge of the games and sales that were going on at the time. All three visits Ive went in seeking a certain game or product i had seen in an ad or on the app Ive had very little help obtaining my item and left empty handed and disappointed

I was told that they were releasing Call of Duty WWII at 9:00pm. When I arrive they told me that I had to wait till11:00pm and when ask who told me that I told them what the person looked like. They then looked at me like no one like that worked there. As o was telling them this the person behind me said they were told the same thing by one of the other managers. As we stated our agitation anther costumer walked to get his copy and stated he was told the same thing yesterday. The 20 year old manger wearing a mock up of the uniform I wore in the actual military had the nerve to talk to all of us like we were telling him lies. I just wanted to throat punch him. I will never shop there again.

Go early in the day thats when the most knowledge and nicer people that work there are usually scheduled.

I have been here several times since I moved to San Marcos. I am yet to have a bad experience with this particular Games Stop store, and its been 5 years that I have been coming. Great customer service, always willing to help you and friendly. One more thing its pretty rare that I give 5 stars to a business.

Quick easy and safe

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!I placed an order with these scammers on December 2. The website CLEARLY states there is a 24 hour processing time, yet on December 5, my order status was still processing, with no hint of any customer service in sight.They dont seem to have any regard for customers whatsoever. They leave their customers no recourse but to post complaints on social media, because inquiries about order status go completely ignored by customer service. My order sat in processing status for 3 days before I finally cancelled it, and on more than one occasion I sat on hold for over an hour trying, in vain, to speak to an ACTUAL human being. Do they employ such? Or is theirs merely an organization of broken robots meant to bilk hard working Christmas shoppers out of their money?

These people in here are so good! We are so very lucky to have a GameStop in San Marcos!!!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Huge stock of pre-owned games. Store has an above-average quantity of novelty game-oriented gifts. Because of the added merchandise, the store is a little cramped at times, and counter space is limited.
