Best donuts in San Marcos. And this staff knows how to get customers in and out. If Im in a hurry, and I see a line at the drive through, I still stop cause I already know theyre fast here.

Menu selection is just right, friendly customer service, and Google needs to put this Shipley location on the Google maps.

BEST DONUT PLACE EVER. NO DONUT PLACE CAN BEAT THEM. Been going for 15+ yrs. Even my kids love Shipley. Best variety ever. Theres a donut for everyone and Kolaches as well. Jalapeno sausage and cheese yummy with mustard.

Cappuccino was not real Coffee with real fresh milk, it was a pre made powder, mixed with hot boiling water. Thats very disappointing. Awful.

Terrible service. I came in at 5:40 am after my overnight shift for some fresh glazed donuts(a shipley’s staple). I asked the server at the counter and she was more than happy to go in the back and grab some that were just glazed. But the baker in the back so no don’t grab those he can have what’s in the tray. I didn’t want to make a fuss so I accepted what I was given. Sure enough I got what I expect from the trays, Cold crusty donuts.

Shipleys do-nuts is fantastic. The staff is very quick and very polite. The cream cheese donut is to DIE for.

Taking care of the customer is important!I used to be able to walk in once a week, ask for a single glazed donut to be topped with chocolate icing (took them less than 20 seconds), made it a point to let them know that Id pay whatever the price for it, told them how much I appreciated it, and always tipped at least a dollar. Was told today that owner said no more. Trying to justify what it was about my request that made this hard or unacceptable. Great people working there, unfortunately just another company forgetting that customer service is also about going above and beyond for the little people as well.

Excellent as always.I would bring my daughter in there before church when she was 5 years old. The manager then, invited us behind the scenes to see how do-nuts are made, pretty big deal for a little girl!Weve moved out of town and rarely stop by, and shes 17 now and he still remembers her and makes her feel special.Pretty cool......

Ive been a faithful customer since I was a child. My first experience was in Houston. Now, I hope my last experience will be in San Marcos, because its on my way to work.

Nothing better in the morning than a fresh Shipley donut with black coffee. This one in San Marcos has a great staff, friendly responsive and courteous. I love the cozy seating areas where one can take the time to relax before taking on the day.

I live right across the street by the university. The kolaches here are what keep me ticking on the mornings when I have early classes and need a delicious breakfast. I especially like the sausage and cheese variant. Oh, and the donuts are good too. I appreciate their fair pricing as well.

I like this place primarily as it is convenient to me (although they close too early for me which is inconvenient). Im always a little disappointed with their cake doughnuts as they are not crisp on the outside like they should be for being freshly made. They also seem to lack a little in taste compared to other Shipley shops that Ive frequented elsewhere. I dont know for certain what it is but they are noticeably different ie. = not as good.The people her are always friendly and gracious which counts a lot when buying something as special and necessary as dougnuts.

Coffee is amazing

Every time I go to the West Hopkins location, the girl working the drive through always gives me terrible customer service - she wears glasses, is most likely hispanic. I have never in my life given a good/bad review to ANY place before. But after going here with repeated horrible service, I felt as though I had to. By the looks of the reviews, I am not the only one that has had customer service issues here. I have worked in the food industry for over 5 years, so I gave the service multiple chances as I understand rude customers can put you in a bad mood. But, it never failed that the same worker gave me attitude no matter what time of the day I went there. I have been going to Shipleys for many years. But the customer service I have been receiving every time I have been here has led me to refrain from going to this location. The food is decent, but not worth receiving bad service.

Been to other Shipleys around central Texas was not expecting what I got today. 1st and only time I will be visiting here. Better options in town.

I spent 90% of my childhood here. Ever since I was little my dad brought me here for donuts and we still go. This place us extraordinary! The staff goes way beyond and the donuts are indescribable! I GUARANTEE YOU THE BEST GLAZED DONUT OR ANY DONUT, KOLACHES, OR COFFEE HERE!

The donuts here taste fine but are they not supposed to be warm when you get them? Ive come here as early as 5 AM (which is opening) and get next to cold donuts. Like I said, the donuts taste fine but my complaint is that I dont come to a donut shop to buy a cold donut.

Good variety of dougnts but there coffee is just plain water with some.coffee flavoring, they need to get a better coffee at least a gas station coofec tastes better.

This is a great little donut shop on the south west side of town. The food is great as is the coffee!

Customer service was excellent and donut variety was very good. However, the kolaches were not that great. They look large, but are filled with a lot of air. The jalapeno ones have jalapeno slices in the air pockets. So personally not a fan of those. But overall a great experience.

Service is awesome and the atmosphere here gives off a warm home kind of vibe. Downside is they close SO early (12 AM) which is unfortunate for ppl who sleep in. On a positive note, get their jalapeño sausage Kolache’s, they are the bomb.

I just went through the drive through with my boyfriend for donuts this morning, and the lady who was at the window had a very bad attitude, as soon as we pulled up she opened the window and asked. What do you want? in a very annoyed tone. My boyfriend began to order by saying Id like half a dozen donuts, half glazed half--- ; She didnt even let him finish and again in an annoyed tone said, What else?? So he continued his order, when she interrupted again and told him, You need to speak up sir when he was already talking in a clear tone???? and then she had to ask him what he wanted the other half of the donuts to be because she cut him off the first time!!! She then told us the price and slammed the window shut, we were so pissed we just drove off.
