Its the best Good Will in this area . San Marcos, New Braunfels, and Seguin. Its always clean organized and the staff are friendly. Well the ones that Ive dealt with. This is the cleanest Good Will ever. Great job with the organization and being so clean.
Prices weren’t anything to complain about .Really not impressed with the facilities though, you would think for a corporate entity that makes millions off of free goods from the general public, that they would be a bit more caring about the sanitary conditions where a diabetic would take their insulin, or a person could safely use the rest room without fear of catching a virus or some other bodily harm .
Store is clean and they keep good inventory for all
Nice store to itself. Staff greeted me at the door and were very helpful. Pretty good selection of merchandise. Five stars because of the customer service.
This is a very overpriced goodwill. Considering that goodwill products are used items that have been donated, they shouldn’t be charging so much for the items. The prices at this location look like prices you’d see at a marshalls or tjmaxx. Used clothing shouldn’t cost so much. I’ve been to MANY other goodwills and this one is definitely the least impressive.
Are you serious??We are giving them good quality free mechandise. And they are too freaking lazy to unload a truck. they say we cant take any of this. Its not resellable. So spoke with the manager and she told me what they can take. They left all of that stuff on the truck. I called and specifically asked what I could bring. Unbelievable. The CEO of this company is a genius. He gets all his merch for free and, makes money off reselling it. I have no problem with that. But lazy people, I have no patience for.End rant.
Love this place. They have the best, super friendly employees.
There is great stuff here, I used to buy clothes from here, always a good, clean selection, well organized, I dont anymore because their fitting rooms are closed and you cant try anything on, theres plenty other stuff to look at, no shortage on stuff to buy, it would be nice if you could try on and buy clothes
I always love to look thru their books and boardgames. You cant beat $1.00 boardgames!!
I went in to find a barbie doll for a project and not one barbie doll! Only plush. Also they dont offer bags at register!? I had to carry everything to my vehicle all in my arms.
Store was very clean. Plenty of staff to help. Found great home decor items. Employee at check out was friendly and helpful.
Not one 9.5 × 11 picture frame, not one twin bedsheet, people here with empty carts..thinned out inventory and $10. for a pair of shorts is overpriced.
I love shopping this Goodwill, great thrifty bargains. They are friendly and helpful. Convenient location, in and out in a flash 👍
Bought some cute clothes. cashier was very sweet today. love this location!!
5 Stars for Goodwill in San Marcos. Great employees and items 👍
I love this Goodwill. Everything is organized and there are plenty of things to choose from.
My cashier was very polite today. Always have great finds at Goodwill when ur a treasure hunter
The store was amazing and the staff is super sweet and helpful.
This has had to be the most over priced goodwill I have ever been to. 10 dollars for old shoes $90 for old furniture thats crazy no wonder it was empty! Better of going to the outlet.
Friendly, organized and clean!
You never know when youll see some diamonds in rough!! Each time I go there I walk out with something.
Lots of bargains anything looking for good customer service
Always find brand new items at reduced prices.
Really disappointing store. High prices (When priced, many unstickered items): With the amount of retail closures you can buy new for less these days, especially in clothing. Pricing staff need to visit discount stores and ensure used prices are below full retail!Store staff were not policing masks, many shoppers had their masks pulled down below their noses! They had no bags nor paper to wrap with - literally nothing. They had no grey sticker items (50% off this week)One of the worst Goodwills Ive been to in TX.Jane
Service was great quick courteous ask me about a discount for senior over 55 and yes I am 56 got a great discount thank you
Totally way too expensive!!!!Huge mark up on really used clothingWhy do folks frequent this place anymore??
I like coming in here a lot because you get new stuff every week from the donations. Their prices on cat furniture is very fair, and sometimes they have manga. I like to look through their books and DVDs mostly. Pretty clean and friendly shop overall.
Good price. They dont really have a lot of furniture but have good brands of clothes. Ive found something every time Ive gone for a reasonable price
Up tight, out of sight, in the groove, Baby!!!
Nice and clean
Clean, friendly staff, prices aLittle high. Should have more sales.
I love washing clothes at
This could be a good store but...This store is run from Austin. Hence no bags and higher prices. The ones based from San Antonio are priced much better.
Dont go here much so cant really compare it to any thing like it but its pretty organized and they carry interesting stuff.
I love this location! The staff is always so kind and friendly. I find great items. I wish the prices on clothes were a bit lower, but still a wonderful location with fabulous customer service.
Very good clothes... But you cant try on 😟 i dont like that.
What a great place. Its a little hard to find but worth the effort. They have a large collection of clothes and appliances. I dont go there for that. This Goodwill almost always has a huge amount of holiday Stuff..;) Also, I like there collection of, what my father use to call, dust collectors. I like to pick of different decor to give my house the BoHo look. And, the prices arent that bad so I can change them out when I get tired of them collecting dust..:) The people who work there are really friendly as well.
The prices were absolutely ridiculous!!!
Clean and friendly. I wish it had more housewares
Way better than the ones in Cibolo, San Antonio very organized.
Love shopping here friendly staff
I go to this goodwill pretty much every single day because I am a eBay reseller. Today I was returning an item and the cashier was unsure how to process the transaction so she called for a manager named Elmea I believe. She is a short heavyset Hispanic woman and she was being extremely rude to her new employee. it made me so upset I had to speak up and say something to her. She apologized to me but not her employee. This manager definitely needs to be reported!!
Goodwill is a Great Organization that helps people with jobs and clothes, etc. Keep up the good work Goodwill!
Great place great treasure to find
Great selection but really high prices compared to other Goodwills
Not much there and dirty
This location has a good selection, clean store, & helpful associates..Wish their good will would reflect a little more on the price tags, considering everything is donated & is 100% profit.#wherewasgoodwill
My mom swears that I have some kind of lucky charm that I take with me when I shop here because I have found amazing bargains!!! From shirts and dresses to kids’ clothing or household items. It’s worth visiting and regularly! Staff is pretty friendly, though sometimes the lines can get a little long.
This is a nice place to shop for clothes. I always find some decent clothing here. Also great place to donate unwanted clothing or anything that you no longer need or want.
I love looking for little Treasures. Store was clean and staff were very friendly.
Costumers complaining about their prices forget that this is a legitimate business that adds to our economy greatly by paying working people every day, keeping unwanted treasures out of landfills and its still cheaper than in store. So yall.... just stop complaining. AND IF YOU DONT WANT TO BUY IT NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TOO SO STOP COMPLAINING.
I recently visited this store while helping my son move to San Marcos for a job. I loved this Goodwill. Never have I ever walked into a Goodwill store and have it smell pleasant, literally smelt like fresh laundry detergent, not stinky old shoes like most of them. All the racks of clothes were so organized! By Size, then By Color...It was awesome! They had a very nice variety of items and everything was well organized even the knick knack isles and shoes. Loved It!
An unplanned stop this morning -- the staff are very friendly and the store is well laid out! Thanks!
10/10 great time.
Well organized store.
I go for the 💙Auctions💙 on Saturdays, great finds. Very friendly staff, always helpful. Good variety of stuff. My only complaint is pricing isnt consistent on the same/similar items and tends to run on the higher side.
Great stock and great people working there!
Great selection but the prices are a bit high. No military discount offered. Staff was friendly.
Low inventory this trip, but every thing that WAS there was orderly and clean.
Bought a ps3 here for cheap
They have a big sign by the door reading 50% Everything in store, I spent 2 hours picking out outfits & standing in line at dressing rooms, (every woman in line was taking advantage of this sale)Only to come out & hear an employee tell the lady next to me Nothings on sale, they just hadnt updated their sign, the lady, & myself, had to put 1/2 the clothes back because Goodwill Would Not honor their mistake. Ive been going here 4 years but Will Not Go Back again. Bad business practice when the items in their store are donated & free to them but they rather risk losing customers than right the situation.
Nice large layout! Great selection! Just be sure to bring your own bags if you plan to buy a few things.
Todays visit wasnt to promising, lots of over priced furniture and not much on shelves to catch the attention. Not to many good toys to grab your attention either. Maybe the next time.😊
Thank goodness for this store! Every time I come in I find something I need. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even during the busiest times the store is neat and organized. My review today is based on shopping for clothes. There is a wide selection of donations and the sizes are actually where they are labeled and supposed to be! Of course you cant beat the prices. I walked out of their with a new outfit (top, skirt, and shoes) and another skirt all of good quality for less than $25.
Nice inside and out.
The most expensive GW I’ve found in the nation. And their clothing, while well distinguished with clear signage, is not color coordinated. Like every other goodwill in America.I highly discourage anyone from patronizing this establishment. What a sham that everything is donated and they’re charging near new retail prices. Shame on them.
No military discount....no bags...high prices
I could spend my entire check here! So many different things in all sizes, home decor, etc! I come here at least twice a month when my budgets tight and always leave happy
Been shopping there at least three to five times a week since I moved here three years ago and lately Ive noticed prices rising some prices are just as much as he department stores. I love shopping at goodwill but with the prices now I might as well go to walmart.
Lots of Halloween costume s and lots of great prices on clothes and shoes. Got a nice black Western hat for $2.
Very disappointed I shop alot at goodwill. But when Im low on cash I go and only shop for the color tag thats 50% off I did not see one clear or white Tag anywhere in the store yesterday like they were all pulled before we started shopping I asked some ladies that were shopping also and they said no they did not find one either very disappointing
This is the most enjoyable experience I have ever seen at any goodwill that Ive visited. Best products at the most unbeatable prices .
Nothing worth the effort. Found broken/non-working electrical blow dryer. They must have known since it was under $2. The working one was around $10.
Quite possibly my least favorite goodwill of all time. Most everything is wayyy over-priced. I get that the money goes to a good cause, but I guarantee they would have even more sales and generate even more revenue by lowering their prices. Just because you price things higher doesnt mean youll make more money... basic business concept. Many things are priced higher than their actual value when they were new! Also, as an avid goodwill shopper, I have found that their prices in general are higher than other places. For example, their books are twice as much as other goodwills. They have a very good selection of items, and they are fairly organized. They also have A LOT of new items that I guess they bought from retail stores, so kind of like a big lots, except even those things are overpriced. This particular location also uses different tags which some colors are very difficult to tell apart. They do not advertise their color discounts like the other stores either. Also, they do not honor the same military discount that all the other stores do. I have been to every goodwill in San Antonio and the surrounding areas, and they have all honored this discount. My reccomendaion is to drive a little bit down the road to New braunfels or Seguin.ETA: they also didnt have bags which I see from previous reviews is a common occurrence...not the worst thing ever but definitely not ideal if you purchase several things or anything breakable.
Visited this store for the first time, the selection of items was very limited. Prices were almost retail on many items.Store seemed to have a lot of matching items, 5 and 10 of the same item, with original manufacturers tags on them. Saw belts, shoes, shirts, sun glasses, soap and more like this. More of a retail store than a thift shop. The few higher end items I saw were set aside for the auction. There was a selection of used thift items, but compared to San Antonio stores the prices on these items were about 30% higher.Wont be returning to this store.
Does a 0 star rating exist??? Not only was the staff at this location very rude to my fiancé, they made her really pretty bad for buying a piece of furniture and then asking for them to hold it since she had our son with her. The guy who took the furniture to the front of the store didn’t even want to take it for her, he acted like he was “hurt” and then laughed about it. The only nice person was the cashier. The guy who moved the furniture to the front was trying to tell my fiancé they aren’t liable for anything that happens to the baby on this. She got it the first time but he kept telling her over and over which led to her getting very irritated. When I went to go pick up the furniture it didn’t fit in our car, I asked for a refund and they said they can’t issue cash back only store credit...even though she paid with cash. No where on the receipt did it say anything about the refund policy. So the goodwill basically took our money and gave us a gift card that could potentially get lost. I’m not a fan of the goodwill but my fiancé is...it’s very unfortunate that these people ruined her shopping experience here and her view on this company. Nothing but a fraud company!!
Really nice large store with tons of selection. But it is way to expensive. $2.99 for a Wal-Mart plate when they are $1.25 at Wal-Mart. A pair of very worn Nikes for $9.99? Donations are free for the goodwill. I think prices should reflect that. This store is supposed to help people.
There access was great and there clothing and what not but the way they treated me and my boyfriend wasnt very professional. I will shop there again but know not to expect good customer service
Great store! Good clothes for reasonable prices
The store was clean, neat with friendly personnel. There was a good variety of goods.
Fairly bog standard Goodwill store. Was clean and fairly well organized with a decent selection of items.
Pretty good for goodwill. Some good quality stuff.
Inventory is pretty large and rotated regularly. Cashiers can be slow with no backup in sight. They dont offer bags, so bring your own.
Ver very expensive. You will find better deals at marshalls and ross.
This Goodwill has an awesome selection. No cassettes and records if thats what youre looking for but a lot of DVDs, VHS tapes, and CDs. The wacky shirts are on another level.
Good selection, if cluttered. Checkout process was a little slow. You never know when youll stumble upon a treasure!
I did not go in.
Always a great selection, and they usually have really good stuff in their silent auction area.
It was very clean and organized. But did not have any of the sizes I was looking for!
You might want to bring your own bags they didnt have any for me
Prices are to high to be donation items. dresses used are 9.99.. Ross sells new dress starting at 7.99..
Super over priced. All the really cool and unique items they auction off on Saturday.
This place is soo dusty and the boss is such a rude girl. Employees are cool though. I did community service here for 3 weeks and seen horrible things. Walking in there at first it was so disorganized broken merchandise laying around dressing rooms are full of clothes and empty hangers and all the clothes are over priced. and the candies are old. Restrooms are filthy. I wouldnt recommend this goodwill to anyone honestly.
Way overpriced for a Goodwill. Unorganized. Poor discount programs. Decent selection, however. I’ve been to a lot of Goodwills across the country, and this is not a good one.
Overpriced and understaffed. The Bell on Dressing Room door was, and most likely still is broken, I had to go find an assistant for a key. Checkout was very bad - Good Friday only had one young man doing the checkout - I stood at the Counter waiting for them to get a price on (one of many) unmarked items, while 22 other people stood in line. Yes, I counted them, all the way down the Aisle. No Manager came to help, no other Checker was summoned to assist. While waiting, I started chatting with the Checker..... the subject of learning how to manage a Store came up. He told me he was a Student from Mexico and couldnt wait to graduate and get out of America. Hmmmm!
Really nice things they have there, expect the prices everything is $$6.99 and up!!
There could have been more staff on call for check out and it could have been quicker. But it was an ok experience and Im glad they are so close to where I live.
Ive been to many goodwills in san antonio and the new braunfels location that are amazing and prices reasonable but this store was overpriced and I didnt stay long. Tops at all the other goodwill locations are $4.29 this location was wanting like $8-10.
