I love, love these chocolates!!! Each piece is a beautiful piece of art. Dallmann uses high quality, ethical chocolate and is creative in blending flavors.The place I visited is not a store. Its a working kitchen. When I apologized explaining I was looking to buy Dallmann for Valentines, the owner welcomed me, gave me samples, and created two beautiful boxes!!!!

This store is a little far from my house (I live closer the Del Mar location), I stopped in recently and tried the new Triple Chile Bar which I loved!!! Spicy but not too spicy. The new location is really beautiful and they are opening a tasting room on the second floor for tastings and classes.As always, the Sea Salt Caramel is my favorite. I ended up buying a Mothers Day box which had custom flavors for the holiday :)Nice to see some quality options near the Seaport Village area.

Portion are huge too and price is reasonable. The chocolate ice cream here is to die for. Very very chocolate-y and very good.

Totally charming and sweet with the small neighborhood store vibe. The candy selection is wide (many varieties of gummies, chocolates and old fashion favorites), the service is friendly and helpful. Prices are clearly displayed on all of the items. Blows Miette out of the water.

Last month, I was on business trip to San Diego, and bought a small box of chocolates to my colleagues back home in Japan.The chocolates was so delicious and was well received by everyone 🤤😇😋Only regret is that I didn’t buy more 😑I wish the shop offered a sample, as I am sure that I would have bought a whole lot more, even the high prices😉

Very good chocolates. You can also take a look at the picture I have posted, the chocolates look like a work of art. If you are in San Diego and looking for a gift to bring home, this is a great choice. It looks great and tastes great too.There are a lot of unique flavors as well, but be sure to try the PB&J chocolates. Something I have not seen anywhere else but was really good.

BEWARE!! I bit into the lemon and sage chocolate and it was MOLDY!!I dont know what lies these 5 star reviews are about this place but dont listen to them. Listen to a chocolatier who makes her own chocolate.I do not recommend their chocolate. It tastes old and is old. When i went into the store and told the lady at the counter what had happened, and that the chocolate should be thrown out, instead of saying sorry she completely denied the accusation. Even when I kept the chocolate to bring back to her to smell. YOU COULD SMELL THE MOLD. I didnt want a refund but she should have offered me one. You can take my money, thats fine. Ill take my business elsewhere.

I signed up for both the Beginning and Advanced Chocolate making classes that were offered at the El Cajon site. There were about eight of us, including a couple of kids. Isabella did a wonderful job teaching us about how to make truffles and the things that we need to consider with the various flavors of ganache that we could use. We also learned how to make caramel and, in the advanced class, how to airbrush and paint with colored cocoa butter as we used molds to make heart-shaped chocolate boxes. Isabella is generous with sharing her knowledge, which we can now use to make beautiful chocolate pieces for our friends family!

It is ok, I bought chocolate from them when I happened to be there, good chocolate but something feels missing, does not have the melt in my mouth and melt my heart effect.

Loved the chocolate tasting 101 it was so good but we are coming back for Thursday night wine and chocolate tasting together
