I wouldnt go back, the group of geeks were terrible with communication, very forgetful, I had to keep reminding them about fixing my electronic device which I had already paid them to do so. I get some repairs are extensive and takes time, but if its paid for upfront it shouldnt take so long with an enormous amount of excuses. Then to try to replace and switch out the device while my dad wasnt looking with one of their old ones ?!? Who does that? Very unprofessional I think. 👎👎👎

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Phone wasnt charging even after trying a new battery and charging cable, thought Id need the charging port replaced. She cleaned the port out first instead of immediately going to the expensive fix, and it worked. Always good to see someone with expertise and integrity. I shattered my phone, and had purchased a new one. All I needed was someone to help me transfer the data and they were SO helpful where AT&T wasn’t. Everything was done for a very reasonable price and I can’t be happier with the service.This was the third time I had gone to them for some kind of help with an iPhone and they have helped me so well EVERY time.

They did an amazing job bringing my iPhone back to life after it had been soaked in the river twice and for just $60 bucks which saved me a ton on not having to buy a new phone. The also do an excellent job of installing tempered glass screen protectors for just $15 buck when everywhere else charges you at least $35 to $40 to buy and install and if you already have one you just want put on, they dont charge you at all where other places wont do it unless you buy it from them.

Id dropped my phone (a very long way down) and the headphone jack was so bent there was no way I could fit my headphones in. I went into the store and asked if they could somehow fix it. 5 minutes later one of their guys came back out with my phone all fixed up. It looks like nothing had happened to it. Took my iphone in because it wouldnt turn on. Left it there and they said theyd email me in an hour and a half. Apparently it was just dirty inside, so they just cleaned it and it worked fine. They didnt even charge me. Would definitely recommend coming here before driving to the Apple Store in Austin or San Antonio and having to wait four hours just to see someone.

I would not recommend they don’t seem to know much about what they are doing, or pretend they don’t. They rigged my phone to work so I could return it to my cell phone store, and asked me if I was for me or other store, I thought that was strange but didn’t pay much attention to that. I later went to return my phone and it stopped working even though it was working at the repair place, they wouldn’t take it back, and I brought it back to the repair place and they basically said oh well bummer and couldn’t help. The part they fixed wasn’t damage so it should have been able to be replaced by them since it simpl wasn’t fixed correctly, but they didn’t care and just said they couldn’t help and still charged me. Do not waste your money.

Best cell service ever! Phone died but continued blinking eerily and wouldnt turn back on or take a charge... took it in and begged for a fix that wouldnt erase everything. Really nice patient girl at the counter told me to come back in an hour and a half to give them time to diagnose and said they would email me since I hadnt any other phone line to be reached on. Got an email saying repair completed as soon as I got home, less than 30min later. Raced back to pick it up and they had it up and running like nothing happened; didnt even want to charge me nor accept a tip because the fix was so easy! I hope nothing ever happens to my phone again but if it does, you will be my first thought. Just fantastic service! Thanks bunches yall!

Contact Mobile Phone Geeks about an issue I was having with my iPhone, the phone wouldnt charge when using certain chargers I had. I assumed it was something wrong with the charging port and contacted them about replacing the charging port. They responded back with a few suggestions to try prior to bringing in my phone for them to work on. Sure enough their suggestions worked and I havent had an issue since. I appreciate their honesty in working through the problem I was having and will certainly be using them for future repairs.

Poor quality replacement parts. Although they usually save an otherwise busted phone, it may take you several trips before you have a reliable phone again. You may end up with a part that was previously used. I seemed to.I had done a factory reset before bringing it in. Either the apple store before them or these guys used the phone to do an authorized - possibly shady - transaction. This card, from a company I had never heard of - was the only one stored in my phone the next time I used my phone in a purchase. Yikes! I dunno if this information is stored in the part that was replaced or not so I cannot say for sure that they did it. But I doubt apple store did it.I also got bad advice on the two factor authentication recovery process when your 2nd device is no longer yours and ended up losing all my iCloud contacts. The bad advice on their part was a major setback.

I went in today October 24th, 2013 right before they closed around 6:45. Long story short i needed to replace my battery so my phone would work, however, I had the battery but not the screw driver. I had already taken the back of the phone off and Best Buy and Verizon said it would be $40. I called them and they said they would do the 30 second job for free. Went in, and they did it right away, great help, awesome service! I recommend this to anyone with phone troubles!

You know, a lot of the reviews on here look to be negative situations. Bad luck doesnt make an entire company, a bad company to work with...My first time going to this store two years ago, there was a blockade of people! And after venturing through the crowd, I made it to the guy at the cash register. I had a difficult issue with my phone, that seriously frustrated me. And he didnt seem at all bothered by the issue and explained that it could be fixed in a matter of hours...I received my phone back, in working condition, and happily paid and exited the store. Now, I have been an employee for about a month. There have been significant instances where customers have not been satisfied with our services and just being a small time employee, I finally understand. Everyone expects us to be at top performance and to assist everyone in a PERFECTLY manageable amount of time. But this company is so small compared to Best Buy or (previously existant) Circuit City. Mobile Phone Geeks doesnt have all of the right answers. They arent a perfect performing cooperation. They are people. We are people. And humans can only do so much or work at such a close perfect functionality. We cannot always cater to everyone needs. But we will always try our best to assist in every way we can. I am a Mobile Phone Geek and proud to be apart of this company.

I don’t recommend this place run as far you can. Took my iPhone for battery replacement in the morning they fix my battery problem but when i try to use it I couldn’t use it to make phone calls and it was working good before I took it there. I when to the store and they told me that something was wrong with my phone and they charge me to repair. Go somewhere else.

They took my perfectly working phone but with a broken screen(cosmetic only for the most part), burned the battery while working on it in a hurry, asked me to come back, put a screen on, and gave it back with a screen that did not work 80% of the time. Sent it back for the second and third time and same thing. In the end, they gave me the phone back without a screen on(not even my old screen). Now I cant even get the phone repaired at the company website since it does not have a screen on.Will give it a second chance- ask them to try fixing it again for a higher price, but I dont have high hopes at the moment. Wish I had gone to a another shop that put the right part in properly. Will update the review if it works.

I moved back to this area about 3 weeks ago and have been in Mobile Phone Geeks, San Marcos several times. The first time was for a BB Torch - they couldnt get it to repeat the issue I was having and didnt charge me. I picked it up and she told me if it started doing it again to bring it back in. It hasnt acted up since --- go figure?! I went back to them with an IPhone 3 issue of not powering up -- my daughter tried to swim with it!! lol They amazingly made it work again - I figured for sure it was a goner. This is a basic repair shop. They dont know any fancy tricks just the simple tests and repairs but perform them well. Just need to be more punctual about updating you. If you want real repair work done youll have to look into a more expensive repair shop.

SO BAD! DO NOT GO THERE! I used to love this place, something has changed. The costumer service is terrible. They had my phone to replace the screen for almost two weeks, and still failed to do it. They gave me wrong information, conflicting information and conflicting quotes. They did not call or contact me once any time that they said they were going to. FOUR times I drove into town to pick up the phone that they told me was ready over the phone (when I called them after not hearing from them for days after it was supposed to be ready) only to find that it was not ready and they uh, just need a couple more days- which phone is it? If they had just said its not ready instead of lying about it over and over I would actually not be mad about waiting 2 weeks for a very simple repair. But repeatedly waisting my time telling me they would get it done and having me drive there to pick it up 4 separate occasions is utterly unacceptable. What a joke. I see that many reviewers have had a very similar experience. Today, they said it would be ready by noon for real this time!. I went to pick it up at 2 and they had not put the new screen on. They said they could do so quickly but then the data transfer would take another several days. I just asked for my phone back, Im glad they didnt find time to put the new screen on anyway- every time i was in there at least one other customer was there because a newly replaced screen had broken soon after Mobil Phone Geeks installed it, they were always accusatory to the customer and offered no refund or repair for their poor work. I see in reviews that this is also a common problem. DO NOT GO THERE.

I was frustrated with my Samsung Galaxy 5 not recognizing the SIM card - these guys told me the problem without charging me, and sold me a 30 dollar phone which works fine until Im ready to purchase a new smart phone. I have had to come back for a problem once when they flashed my phone over to another service but I called and they had me come in and take care of it. Very good service and they may call themselves geeks but in my book they are professionals! Fair prices and they wont try to over-sell you either.

I have no clue why there are so many negative reviews about this company. Yes its not Geek Squad and yes its a local tech repair shop, but every employee Ive interacted with has been completely knowledgable and friendly. I brought my iPhone 5S to have the screen repaired and they had it done within the hour. If people have a problem keeping track of quoted prices or dont understand that electronic repairs can DEFINITELY vary, in labor and price, as the work is done might just want to stick to land lines and cyber cafes.

I went to fix my phone when I decided to buy a phone they had on display, the phone was used and with a small crack on the glass, they offered me that with 80 dollars more they will change the screen for me, I agreed, I paid and i was supposed to get a call from them when the screen arrived, It never came, I went two weeks after and they said that it just arrived (BS) they changed the screen and gave it to me, the phone did not work with the pen (Samsung note) and i took it back immediately within 30 minutes, they took the phone in and after 30 minutes gave it back to me with two chips on both ends of the screen, I told them immediately and they deny doing anything wrong, but after going back and fourth they just told me that they dont have the screen in stock and they will order another one for me and as soon it comes in they will call me so they can fix the pen and the screen, well that was over a month ago.Please if you want good service from a serious company drive a little farther but don;t go to this guys,I should have learned when I read all the negative feedback.

Ive gone to mobile phone geeks a few times in the past and every experience has been solid, the staff is very competent and knowledgeable across a wide variety of devices.

I went there two weeks ago and sold an extra phone I had no issues pretty straight forward.But then I went back to sell another phone I upgraded out of with same carrier and circumstances but this time they were having difficulties with unlocking my carrier for some reason all the sudden then they said they werent interested only to tell me i could pay them to unlock the same phone they didnt want for 40 bucks then they would buy it and i had to wait 3 days. Ummm that makes no since why couldnt they buy it then if it could be unlocked with 100 percent success they told me for 40 bucks. They might as well have told me I was stupid and they were going to waste my time and scam an 800 dollar phone in the box for 150 bucks off me Id leave no stars if I could . F****u guys

Smashed the screen on my work phone (Completely non-functional). I do testing for Verizon so I needed it to complete my work. They fixed my phone same day I brought it in.

After receiving my new tablet I inserted my sd card in the wrong way. I was unable to get it out and went to Verizon where I bought the tablet from. They were also unable to get the card out and recommended Mobile Phone Greeks in San Marcos. I took the tablet into them to see if they could help me. Within 5 minutes they had my sd card out and inserted the correct way and they didnt charge me. They are now my go to when I need help. I would highly recommend them. After 3 weeks of having my computer, they told me that they would start working on it tonight, 24 minutes before they close. On top of that, the person who answered the phone acted like it was such an inconvenience for me to be asking about my computer... after 3 weeks. This is the second time that Ive taken the same computer to them since they didnt actually fix it the first time. I brought it back since I thought they would fix it, like they said they would. Once I finally get it back, Ill be going anywhere else to try to actually get it fixed.

Took my phone in for a simple screen repair. Screen was replaced but the touch was so finnicky my phone was practically unusable. Took it in a second time a few days later for them to correct their mistakes, they returned it in the same poorly working condition. Garbage repairs done by a garbage company. Dont take your phone here.
