I just wanted to publicly thank David Banda Jr. for meeting me after hours to assist me. My car wouldnt start, I called him and he came right over and diagnosed my problem. I was able to drive it to his shop and he fixed it the next day before noon. His son Josh even came to pick me up to get it. Thats more than customer service. I call that a servant heart. I call that being a true community pillar. He didnt have to but he did. Id recommend them to anyone. Ill never have to wonder where Ill go for my auto repair needs. Ill call them right up.

Really great guys running this place! Brought my fiancé’s truck in for some brake work and unfortunately needed more done then we bargained for. They were extremely honest and up front with what needed to be done, why it needed to be done, and exactly how much we were looking at for the cost. They were so accommodating and even gave me a ride since I lived to close to the shop. I am in awe by such kindness. Thank y’all so much!!

I set an appointment day the before ( after they were closed ) & Was expecting to have to wait a week to get my car serviced BUT they told me to bring it in next morning no problem. They even offered me a ride home while my car was getting worked on.They fixed the issue (wheel bearing replacement) and also gave my advice/recommendations on what else I could get done but not pushy at all and actually learned a lot!My oil was very low and they topped it off with no charge! My coworker recommended this mechanic shop and I now see why. They go above and beyond with their work/customer service. I will also be recommending this place to people I know that need car repairs/quotes. Prices are great and work is honest. The owner of this place has a great team.Just remember to call ahead to schedule an appointment and have a ride back home as you will likely have to leave your car there.

I live in San Antonio in a part of town where auto shops are a dime a dozen. If my truck needs work and I can make it to San Marcos, Brakes N More is my place of choice. I love supporting this fellow small business because David is straightforward, honest and so reasonably priced. He made me feel like he truly cared about my safety. When he gave me a (short) timeline of when my truck would be ready, he delivered right on time. I highly recommend!

They always do me right. Prices are pretty much affordable. Everytime my car has a problem, they fix it within a few hours. They show me the before & after product to guarantee honest business. Only place I go to in San Marcos to get my car fixed.

This is the second time we have been here both times ridiculous prices poor work. Both times left cars over night promised to have fixed then charge for 85 for electronically inspection when I was just going for 7dollar inspection I will never again come to this place!! Will never ever recommend!! Guys have alit of cars and just sitting around talking every time instead of working on vehicles!!

Absolutely loved this place. I was having a hard time with money when I had to get my car fixed. They gave me a few options and different prices. As a woman, I feel like a lot of auto shops try to take advantage of our lack of car knowledge. I never once felt that way! They also gave me a student discount for attending a local University! Brakes N More saved my car! I had water pooling in the floor boards and they we’re able to solve the issue in 10-15 min and free of charge! If I had waited much longer the whole electrical system would have gone out. I will definitely be back with any car issues!

I don’t even know what to say about this place other then they are amazing!! I was on my way to work one morning and after stopping at the store on the way to work, I get back i I my car and my shift would not work. I could even put my car into park and take the key out. I had to sit there and wait with the car as I didn’t have a spare key. After sitting there for 3 hours, I called towing companies for pricing and after finally getting a reasonable towing company, I contacted Brakes n More to tell them what happened and what they could do for me. This is my only vehicle and I already had to miss work this day. I talked to David and he advised me not even to pay for a tow truck and to just hang out for a minute as he waits for a worker to get there and they would come out and get my car to drive. I didn’t understand but they are the mechanics...not me. After telling him what my car was doing, he told me exactly what was wrong and quoted me almost to the penny. I got the exact quote once we got to the shop. I waited about 20 minutes and they show up to the store where I’m stranded and got my car in drive. I drove it to the shop and before leaving, I was assured my car would be ready. The part was ordered and in its way before I could make my way out of the shop. This shop has been recommended by so many people...and now I see exactly why. As busy as they were, they not only fixed my vehicle in a day but came to me and saved me the towing fees. Thanks so much you guys!! This really shows a lot about why you guys are still in business!!! Not very many people now days will go above and beyond to make sure your taken care of the way you guys did.

I needed an oil change on short notice but the place that I usually take it in New Braunfels was completely booked for the day. Called David and was told to bring my car in. On the way over my tire light came on and I found that I had run over a screw. I drove it over to the shop and David and his crew were able to fix the tire and change my oil while I waited. Exceptional service and honest pricing. Highly recommend.

These guys have the GREATEST customer service and no only that but they re-did everything on my brakes for an amazing deal and the best part is, it was incredibly fast. My brakes were to the point where I didnt even really have any and not only were they concerned about the car but about my well-being. Now, my brakes are better than they have ever been and I thank them everyday for that! I havent ever seen a more caring staff and crew. I am recommending this place to everyone I know.

Price was what was quoted and it was the best price form about 8 other places I called in San Marcos and Lockhart. Took only two hrs and my car feels safer to drive with my new brakes. Thank you very much! everyone at Brakes N More was awesome.

WORST MECHANICS EVER!!!They are nothing but scam artists and little ass holes that wanna rip you off and then try to fight you when they dont wanna fix THEIR mistake. Never coming here again. I highly recommend that you go to N&L down the road from wal mart better people and better prices.

Took me in right away to change brake pads and rotors. They offered to drive me home if I didnt want to wait. I ended up choosing to stay. Everyone there was very friendly and treated me like they knew me for years. It only took about an hour and a half. I would definitely go again if I ever need service.

Just great service

I had taken my daughters car to them several times with good results. This last time though was a very bad experience. Told me her car had overheated and had blown head gaskets. Told me the heads need to be machined and gaskets replaced. Approved the work and prepaid $980.00. Two weeks later told me the car was back together but would only run 20 miles an hour and needed a new exhaust manifold at another $900.00. Told them the car wasnt worth spending that much money so just put it back together and I would pick it up. Then told me the car needed a complete new engine at $1500.00 for used engine. Reaffirmed again that the car was driveable and told them I would pick the car up and drive it on a car hauler to take back to Houston. Arrived an found not only was the car not running but many parts were missing. Had them push the car onto the car hauler and specifically asked where the missing parts were. Was told by John that all the parts are in the trunk of the car. Got back to Houston and found that not one missing parts was in the trunk. After a couple calls and left messages they insist the mechanic says he put the parts in the trunk. They have been very apologetic for their miss truths but bottom line, I got screwed on this deal. When you have a daughter in college so far away from home, you have to have faith that you find the right garage that you can trust. Oh well looks like the BBB is next on my list.

They lied about quality of engine and charged me for a better quality..had multiple problems with car that they refused to fix..rude, sactamonios, false accusations against me..very bad service and very bad responisibilty..

If youre okay with having your car used as a taxi, go here. I dropped off my vehicle for some brake work and went to lunch. When I retuned, I found two backpacks that werent mine sitting in the backseat, and when I asked about it, the lead mechanic said that one of the other mechanics had used it to pick up his daughters from school! Not only was I told that this particular mechanic had done this before, the only reprecussions he recieved was a three-day suspension. Its hard enough to find a good mechanic in this town without having to deal with this crap.

Very bad service. Waited for 30 min.Finally got went to ask if they could service my car. Then finally they told me to leave my vehicle. Left it for 2 hour to end up telling me to take it another day. They could of told me that since I got there.

Bunch of scam artists. Don’t go here.
