Long review alert...I purchased a golf cart from San Marcos Power Sports. The owner gave me a good deal and had the cart delivered to my house within a few days. Long story short, I must have gotten a lemon. Within the first 2 miles parts were flying off, an air intake hose had cracked causing rough engine performance, and other features of the cart were not working. I was disappointed to say the least. I called the owner and he sent his chief mechanic directly to my house to fix the cart. The mechanic had it fixed within about 30 minutes. I was impressed. The next morning, I took my cart for a spin and the same intake hose cracked again. I called the owner and he immediately sent a truck to pick up the unit and offered a full refund. Most stories would end here, but I was so impressed by the owner standing by his product and business that I told him to bring me a new cart as he assured me this was not the norm. Flash forward another week or two and he delivered a new cart, which works flawlessly. Look, these are Chinese goods. They arent the same as the big name brands, but neither are the prices. Parts are readily available, and they are relatively simple to work on. San Marcos Power Sports has been in business awhile and they didnt get to where they are by mistreating customers. They treat their customers fairly, and offer competitive pricing. They stand by their products and they do the right thing. You dont get that with all the other fly-by-night pop up shops and internet sales. Give San Marcos Power Sports the opportunity to earn your business. I did, and I am glad I took the chance with them. Ill be a returning customer for my future power sport needs.

Took my Jeep into this business to have some work done. I didnt buy it there but maybe I should have. Vernon was extremely helpful and knew what it needed to get it running right.

I have purchased quite a few different toys from this business for myself and for my kids, the owner is a stand up guy as well as the staff has been very professional with my wants and needs. I have experienced no issues with my purchases like the previous review... just like everything else you buy of this nature you always check everything yourself when it comes to fluids nuts & bolts being tight torqued etc etc especially if your kids will be riding... just like every time before all mine have been good prior to purchasing but I check them anyways.... keep up the good work and good customer service... this is why I am a return customer 👌💯👌

Took my VT125GK-Jeep-GR2 in to have some work done on it as it wasnt running right. It was still under warranty. They called me to tell me it needed a new battery, carb, and regulator. They wanted to know if I wanted them to fix it. Turns out they had already replaced the parts without asking me. When I hesitated they said they would take all the parts off and put mine old ones back on. I went ahead and paid them. Now the carb is leaking gas and they refuse to fix or replace it.

Amazing service! They go the extra to make sure you are satisfied and everything is up to standards. Any issues you have they fix it immediately. I would highly recommend making a purchase with them.

I bought two dirt bikes a couple of months ago, the kids love them. I even get to ride around on them! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the prices were super affordable! I highly recommend them.

This summer I was thinking of buying a ATV for my grandkids. After some tire kicking and shopping around as well as research and reading reviews I stopped by San Marcos Power Sports. The Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to my request for the specific apparatus I wanted. The staff is very helpful and their presentation of these items was very impressive. I bought 3.The very next month I went back and bought a fourth one for my wife & I.This summer has been a blast. Awesome shop! They gave me a great deal on my dirt bike. I was able to purchase warranty for it. They were polite and explained everything.

We purchased a go cart in June and had an issue right away with chain being too tight so it ground down the sprocket. We took it in and they are taking care of it. Very nice people to deal with.

This is my last effort to get some thing that actually works… I was sold a lemon Trailmaster for $5000 from San Marcos Powersports. Jerry did come and pick it up and try to work on it last time but they are not solving the problem. I have a golf cart or ATV that is not charging the battery. I have purchased four batteries now for this thing and it is still not working and has very few hours and miles on it I’ve only had to fill the gas tank up one time. Because this thing is a lemon, please be cautious of what you buy from these folks. And if you’re like me and don’t have a trailer to bring it to them then it will take a year to get the thing serviced. I hope the owner sees this because I hear great things about him.

Stoped in just to check things out.. wow this place is filled full of cool machines and great people! The staff is willing to help in anyway they can! They have anything you can think of from fun outdoor go karts, side by sides, atvs, golf carts, dirt bikes, and so much more! I didn’t want to leave! I ended up buying a couple go karts, I will definitely be back to do more business with this great place! San Marcos Power Sports is AWESOME!!!!

I would be careful about doing business with this place. I bought two dirt bikes the same day took them both home and within 20 minutes they were both falling apart. One so bad that he caused my kids to have an accident. I tried for three days to figure out how they wanted to try to take care of both bikes. Was told several different things none of them happen finally I was told best thing I could do is bring it back and let them fix them and I live three hours away and they did not care about me having to drive that far or the fact bikes we’re falling apart. Customer service was nonexistent they did not care one bit that those bikes fell apart within 20 minutes of being driven.

I absolutely love love love this place!!! They have some of the greatest salesman (the lovely Mr. Hugo & Malachi!); super easy financing process; great management team; even the lot porters have always been super helpful (thanks Mario for helping me load that bike 😅). I love both of the bikes that I have purchased. I ride them hard and the service/parts guys (Vernon & James) have always been super helpful and have gotten me safely back on the road without breaking my bank. I bought a 110cc gokart for my kids a year ago and still running perfect, my kids love it, last weekend I bought a 250cc dirt bike for myself and definitely Ill come back for more, because I need 2 more vehicles, Ill recommend this store the service is great, they have mechanic and parts, they show me how to do the oil change and how to take care of my vehicle, they are very professional.

Please be careful and weary of this establishment . Their ATVS come over in mass from China and are poorly constructed upon arrival. When they are delivered and fall apart they will be no where around to help once they’ve taken your money. Purchase at your own risk and headache in dealing with the mess

San Marcos Powersports is the best place to get off road vehicles in Texas! I got a UTV for myself and a small four wheeler for my niece. It was an amazing experience and a great deal! I highly reccommed them and will not ever think of going anywhere else!

I would definitely not recommend purchasing anything here, we bought a 2 seater go cart for 3k that broke down in less than 24 hours and we changed the oil w/in 1 hour as he instructed us to do. We went back the next day to check what was wrong, this was back in March and we just received our go cart back today in June. They have horrible customer service, one of the employees hung up on me as I was frustrated and asking why it was taking so long and why are we even being charged and extra $440 for labor and we had this go cart for less than than 24 hours. We will definitely not be returning.

Had an awesome experience today at San Marcos Powersports. Me and my friend are new to riding. We walked in not knowing much, and left with a wealth of knowledge. Awesome store with a fantastic staff! Malachi’s knowledge of helmet safety features made the shopping experience very smooth. He was excellent and quick with processing all the paperwork on the bike I bought! If youre new to riding/off roading this is definitely a store you should visit. I purchased a go-kart from San Marcos powersports that had a design/mfg issue. The reason I still give 5 stars is that once I brought the product back, they owned the issue and helped me find an equitable solution. I give credit to Vernon (master mechanic) that helped through the process. In general the sales experience and technical follow up was knowledgeable and fair. They know their product and do not try to mis-represent what they are selling.

Just earned a new customer for life. Needed a part for my Massimo and drove over an hour to dealership. (Not the closest dealer to me, who I bought from originally).Vernon in parts not only quickly found the part, but had one of their service techs install it, in spite of being backed up.This saved me lots of time, as I did not have the experience to do the job, but could have figured it out.Thanks Vernon and the rest of the crew for getting me back up and running.I will be back for any of my Massimo needs.

I purchased 4 vehicles for all the grand kids. They play with them everyday and love it. I cant believe people leave bad reviews :(My youngest hit a tree and bent the A Arm and Vernon the mechanic fixed it free. I brought him a milkshake and we chat for like 30min. Very knowledge-based down to earth team at San Marcos Powersports. Ive seen some really rude people yelling at their staff over a vehicle being sold out and Im blown away how rude people can be. Treat others as you want to be treated. 5 stars here!

I like them i have bought from the twice now they are willing to make a deal and they are upfront with you. The go cart is 3 years old and they do me good on service of it . Only complaint is the are really busy si you sometimes have to wait a little bit for help.

Went to AtoZ ATV in San Antonio and got completely hacked! San Marcos Powersports is by far the most professional Chinese dealer in Texas. The staff is soo warm & fuzzy! I bought 6 go carts from them just bought a 4 seater also paid $5,700 not evan an hour of use and stop working the guy tells me give him a week its been 3 weeks already...after I spent so much money with them they want to talk to me rude will never buy from them again there are really ugly they need training on how to treat customers right. Came from an hour away bc atv 110 would not start and Hugo showed me what I was doing wrong was very helpful said I could come back and speak with his mechanic who also helped me out and even gave me a complimentary quart of oil for my troubles. That’s what it’s all about good service will be buying from them again.

I went in too do a purchase but while visiting the store I saw a gentleman arguing with a costumer do to the perches he did was trying to get a refund but be because it was used he couldn’t get his money back they should understand how else r u going to know if what you bought is going to be good if you don’t try it so because of that I left the store and went elsewhere I wouldn’t like to purchase something that’s not Guaranteed

This business posted an add on craigslist for a 4 wheeler for $950. When I arrived they tried to sell me the same 4 wheeler for $1450. I was pretty unhappy about that but to top it off they were rude and paid us very little attention. I went to A to Z powersports about 30 min farther into San Antonio. I ended up getting the same 4 wheeler plus 2 others as well for $3200. A to Z had awesome service and really went the extra mile to help us out. Stay away from this scam artist place.

I have to disagree with the other postings. We have had nothing but issues with our UTV and continue to get the run around. Whenever we ask to speak to the owner, they cover up and say someone will call you back and we never hear from them. As of this morning, I asked if they not believe in customer service and it appears they are covering up for the owner and they hung up in our face. PLEASE DO NOT RISK IT - NOT WORTHYOU LOOSING MONEY BEHIND. WEVE HAD OUR UNIT FOR 3 MONTHS AND ONLY HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO DRIVE IT 3 TIMES. i DONT GIVE THEM ONE STAR,BUT HAD TO CHOOSE SOMETHING.

My husband and I bought a 110cc four wheel for my kiddo for Christmas. And it worked great for a bit but stopped. I brought it back to SMP and they looked it over and tried a few things and Vernon the mechanic told me to leave it and he will get it fixed quick because he knows it was for a kids Xmas gift. The next day Vernon calls me and tells me it’s ready and no charge. I highly recommend San Marcos Powersports. They have great customer service!! My son is having a blast on his Camo 110cc Tao Taos four wheeler!! Thank you again Vernon!! Can’t wait to buy from y’all again!!

Called to ask if they sell boots, and they said just helmets Uh, last I checked boots are every bit as necessary as helmets when riding.

I do not recommend it, I went to buy a 4-wheel motorcycle, they told me a price and when I went to look for it the next day, they no longer gave it to me at that price, they raised it more, they do not have a word, the truth is, I did not see it as something serious, so I do not recommend it.
