I tried for several months from a few different vendors to get a bike and gave up after not receiving even a built up bike By five months… They helped me find a great bike within three days. The service I received before and since I bought the bike has been amazing. The leadtime for other bike shops has been weeks and they turn it around either that day or within a few days max. Dylan has been awesome to work with and has great expertise and is available to help with small or bigger problems. I would give Cambria bicycle outfitter‘s 10 stars if I could! Pete

I built an electric bike out of an old Specialized enduro full suspension downhill. The kit works great, I put almost 1200 miles on it with my son. It was time to replace warn parts. Problem was, its an older bike with parts that newer bikes dont use anymore. Parts were much harder to locate. They took the time to research and locate pretty much everything to get the bike back into a reliable safe bike ready for another 1200mi. Ive bought a bike here in the past as well as riding shoes and supplies. Staff is super nice and helpful. They kept the repairs at a very good price, I would highly recommend anybody to Cambria Bicycle Outfitters.

Ive been to dozens of bike shops all over the western U.S. and liked most. But CambriaBIke.com and especially the shop in San Luis Obispo -- thanks to awesome expert bicycle specialist Dylan -- outclasses them all. Dylan is patient, attentive, caring and thoughtful. Who goes out of their way when a store is closed on Sunday to help out a customer? Thats right: Dylan! He goes above and beyond. Cant say enough about fast service and amazing prices. Wish I lived closer. But, hey, theres always online. Dylan is a gem!

I stopped by yesterday to ask a few questions about an old bike I happened upon. Dylan who turned out to be extremely knowledgable, was there to assist and did so without hesitation. My bike was having a couple issues so he threw it up on the stand and took a look. After a couple minutes of tinkering with it he said he had fixed my shifting problem.Beyond that, he said that while it looked a bit weathered, it was still in fine shape for a daily commuter, but recommended I save up for a nicer mountain bike if I wished to do anything off-road, but did so without trying to sell me anything which I appreciate. I will continue to stop by here with any questions I have and for my biking needs and I recommend anyone looking for assistance, bikes or parts should do the same. Also, I didnt look too much into it but there was a sign with all their maintenance prices and it all seemed beyond reasonable.

Never had such poor customer service at a bike shop. Dont go here, I had bad experiences before and thought Id go back to give them another shot and it was even worse. Totally rude, no help, and wrong info. Sent me to their paso location that was closed and the guys there were so bad it made me go out of my way to write this review. Go to Foothill Cyclery.

Just had my fork swapped by Cambria. Would have left a great review but on my first ride down the street my bars immediately became misaligned. Upon further inspection the stem bolts were so loose I could remove them by hand. Dangerous lack of attention to detail that could have resulted in a bad crash.

This place is on the top of my list in recommendations. Not only do they have reasonable prices, but the repair work was incomparable. Best part was the turn-around time, considering the turn around time in other places. Thank you guys! You did a great job!

Why 1 star??Cambria Bicycle Outfitters lost a sale on a Intense Tracer mountain bike. Employees were scattered inside and outside the store and displayed little interest in helping out. Others walked in and received attention. Customer service reviews reflect treatment of customers at this bike store. I do not recommend Bicycle Outfitters. Go elsewhere; Santa Maria on “Main Street”.

I recently attempted to order a bicycle from Cambria. Although the web site reflected to bike i wanted as in stock, I was notified within a day or 2 that there was an error and the bike was not in stock. I found another model that was in stock and ordered in successfully. I received several emails from the sales staff at Cambria with status/updates, etc. They were VERY responsive to my questions, concerns, etc. and got my order processed in a timely manner.Thank you Rene and Alan for your prompt attention!

Great deals on anything you need for riding bikes! Very professional, friendly staff that have always gone out of their way to give me options and not just sell me on the highest priced thing. They know their customer and intuitively cater to their needs. I have always been satisfied with the level of customer service. Inventory is vast and if you need it, they probably have it- regardless of the year your bike was built. Visit the Paso Robles location for the best availability of items in stock as it is their warehouse and they most likely will have what you need there.

Very pleased with my treatment and the price of the bike. Looked on the Internet at some of the direct buy sources which would require my assembling the bike. I feel I save a few bucks at Cambria and everything was ready to go. Sales people are very helpful and do not work on commissions, so its a real team approach.

Went into Cambria Bicycle Outfitter several times for bike problems such as flat tire, and broken spoke. Each time was a terrible experience. The employees are extremely uninterested, rude, and offer little to no helpful advise. For example, an employee said it was impossible to fix my broken spoke, and to look for a new part at the Bike Kitchen, and then turn away and stopped paying attention to me. For my flat tire I brought my bike into the store, so they could look at it and give me the right size tube. They never inspected my bike, and gave me the wrong tube. Go to Flanders Bicycle shop for a much better experience. Although it is a bit further from downtown SLO, it is worth the customer support that they offer.

Im rating this in response to the reviews .Ive been going to CBO periodically for decades. You might not always get warm service, but you get the right service. You wont leave with the wrong parts unless, you dont know what you need. Theyll always steer you right.

Andrew was so helpful! He assisted me in choosing the bike, the size and finding my favorite color Orange! I ended up getting a Kona Kahuna - they didnt have it in stock so they special ordered it to me and had it to me as soon as they could. They also offer a free tune-up with the purchase. If you need a nice bike for a good price, this is your place!

My sister is searching for a new, carbon, full suspension mountain bike. We went in to look at 5010s and the sales person we had was incredibly unhelpful. Not only did it seem like a burden for him to be working with us, he pointed us towards an Intense mountain bike that apparently is identical to the Santa Cruz 5010, yet couldnt elaborate on anything regarding either bike. In addition to him not being knowledgeable or articulate (well give him the benefit of the doubt and say maybe hes new), our sales person wasnt even excited... He wasnt excited about cycling as a whole or the $5,000+ we were willing to drop on a bike at his shop. We ended up leaving because it was not a positive experience and went to Arts Cyclery, which is top notch. My sister bought her last high end road bike from them and the sales people are genuinely excited about the product they sell and getting people riding... A pretty dramatic change from CBO.Unfortunately, Arts doesnt do rentals, so we ended up back at CBO... Yikes. My sister took out the Julianna and I took out a Santa Cruz Hightower LT. The Hightower was specd with SRAM Eagle, which wouldve been phenomenal, except that bike felt like it had never been maintained in its life. The shifting barely worked, the braking squealed like there were tiny hamsters caught in the calipers, and the dropper seat post wouldnt actually drop. Its a pretty disappointing experience to pay $160 for two high end, incredibly cool bikes and to go ride only to find out that no one at CBO cares enough to service them. The only thing the sales person said when we bought the bikes back was its a popular bike, which begs the question why maintaining it is so challenging...Ultimately, CBO was a pretty disappointing experience in its entirety and theres no way we will buy any bikes from them.  0/10 would not recommend.
