Beware, DO NOT trust their pre-certified department. I bought a car that gave out within 4-5 months of buying. When trying to get it fixed, they kept pushing me around for 2 weeks even though the car was under warranty. I ended up having to pay a quarter of the cost of the car out of pocket. I drove the car for only 2k miles and it became useless, simply amazed by their terrible customer service

They keep blaming a different dealership, when it was a salesperson from SAN LEANDRO HONDA that lied to me. Salespeople from SAN LEANDRO HONDA were rude and condescending.They are the definition of sleazy salespeople if you are woman or woman of color. I am never going back to this place because their salespeople WILL LIE to make a sale. I was told that I could complete a specific activity at no charge, then got charged by Honda Financial Services (HFS). When I went to HFS I was told they are a separate entity and have nothing to do with it. Have all your ducks in order if you deal with this bunch.They are treacherous.I spoke with someone at the dealership and he basically gave me the run around. Talked down to me. And claimed no responsibility for the people working with him and their deceitful behavior.No accountability at this dealership.

Great service good cars. However when they sell you a car, they dont tell you that Hondas are probably the most theft prone cars. I love my 2018 Honda Accord Sport. On the other hand the dealership should have put wheel locks on the cars as a standard. I have had Honda rims stolen off my car 3xs in less than a year. The first time I had no wheel locks and after that I had wheel locks on and they still took the rims. So my advice is when you buy the car dont drive off the lot without making the dealer include wheel locks. After that I would recommend upgrading the car alarm, because each time my rims were stolen the factory alarm never went off. Hey even if they break your window the factory alarm will not go off. Great cars but thieves are always after Hondas.

Was in the market for a new car since my Prius decided to kick the can and decided it was time for a change. After little bit of research decided to give San Leandro Honda a call to test drive the Insight and got in contact with Kenny. Kenny let me test drive two insights a 2020 base model and the 2019 Insight touring! Went for the touring because the extras were too hard to pass up. San Leandro Honda definitely treats everyone right. If your in the market for a new car call up Kenny!

I have recently bought a Honda and have never taken it on a long road trip. I had an incident where my tire went flat and while I want to stop the tire got shredded and I needed to go to my local Honda dealer. I know it was only a flat tire but I thought that my rim could have been possibly bench and the people at Honda told me everything was still in good working order and replaced my room with a new tire that I paid 4. While waiting I met a nice Filipino boy name Joaquin Ongchangco and I told him that I have a home in the Philippines and he knew where I live when I stay there. Joaquin was more than helpful and made me and my husband very comfortable while we waited for my car to be repaired. Everyone in Honda was great and Im happy with my new Honda Accord

I had a pleasant experience leasing my car here. However, when I went in for my oil change I realize that the people working here have a lack of communication skills even though getting service at a dealer is supposed to be better. When waiting in line for servicing, the employees help the people in front of me and I was the only person they ignored until I finally got near the garage. When my car was ready, the cashier told me to wait outside to the right so I can get my key, but I was not sure where, so I went in the garage and randomly asked someone (awkward to go in the garage). I waited outside to see my car sitting out randomly with the windows wide down (and where someone can easily steal it). I went back inside to ask a n employee and then I heard the guy holding my key and found him. I heard the sound of my car alarm go off and I assume the guy who gave me the key probably did it on purpose. I understand mechanics are not educated people, but I expect better employees at a car dealer not as if this was a Pep Boys.Edit: I called this Honda Dealer and many others several times to ask about how long it would take to fix a recall and the sales department does not know and nobody from the service department answers or even responded to my voicemail. Bad business!

My aunt had a really good experience here with Jose Bonilla. He was extremely nice and allowed the car buying process to flow smoothly. Our presence was acknowledged as soon as we stepped foot onto the lot and Jose made us feel welcomed. Originally, my aunt was looking to buy a Kia but, once Jose went through all the pro’s of leasing a Honda she was persuaded! He spoke about how they’re long lasting and affordable. Jose did wonderful at helping her find a car that was in her price range and exceeded all of our expectations! I would highly recommend that you all speak with Jose if you’re looking to lease a Honda. When the time is right and we are looking for another car, Jose will be our go to guy!

Its ok customer service use to be pretty good. I just wish when I made a appointment they would take my car in at the time of the appointment. To let customers know that there is no shuttle to drive customers home or their destination. Because of the virus they dont even wash your car. Which seem kinda weird. Overall it was ok

Went in this morning to get my key repair (was very minor repairment) and I went to the window and asked if I can get my key repair the guy barely looked at my key and said that my key was not repairable, then suggest I get a whole key replacement, he proceeds to ask for my model and make of my vehicle then he tells me I dont think we have that key but my car is a Honda thoSo he tells me that it will cost me $260 to get a key replacement and tried to direct me over to another window then tells me oh youll get your key shipped to you tomorrowI am unsatisfied with their customer service they are lazy and careless

In particular Mr Kenny approached me while I sat studying while waiting for my car and genuinely asked how I was. He went above and beyond to ensure I received the best care at an affordable price. Totally need to work in customer service. Took my Dad’s car because of recall letter and they gave me an appt. Took my car in for the appointment and it happened to be that nothing was scheduled but they made it work, which I was thankful for. Told the guy that I needed the recall paper for the DMV and when I went to the DMV they told me it was the wrong one and had to go back for the 3rd time. The only person that was pleasant and had great customer service was a lady with the name Angelica Briseno other than that people are not nice and just see you standing and do nothing about it.

Everyone I had contact with in service was awesome, from an easy check-in with Joaquin, to the super friendly shuttle drivers (free!), to the awesome guy in parts and the sassy cashier. Loved everything about my experience. When they forgot the wiper blade I requested, Joaquin walked me over to parts and put it on himself while I paid. Recommend highly.

If you go to San Leandro Honda, you must go to Joaquin. One of the most welcoming service advisor I know, he makes sure you are taken care of. I come in for an oil change and he remembers the face, I get an oil change every 3-4 months and when you go back someone who remembers you make it worth it going back to. Very knowledgeable, gives you a breakdown on what your car needs, does not try to up sell you on anything. Almost a 5 star experience for service. I had to wait for 2 hours but my car was washed so I cant complain. Make sure to bring something to keep you busy if you plan on staying. They also have coffee and hot chocolate in the service waiting room.

They wanted to charge me $655 to replace the engine belt tensioner and idler pulley; and $177 to change the engine and A/C filters!!I was, however, stupid enough to go along with the ridiculous $250 dollars for the B1 (Oil change/tire rotation) service I got charged for because I didnt have time to go to somewhere else. Waste of time. I made an appointment 2 weeks ahead and got there 15 minutes ahead of time. This was my second trip for the same problem. They fixed my Honda Odyssey sliding door which opened by itself when attempt to close. I left my car there and they told my they will call me by noon. I did not use their shuttle and used uber instead. It was around 2pm when I call them and asked if my van is finished, they told me they have not yet look at it. Wow. I was told it will be finished by 12pm but by 2pm they have not even look at it? at 5pm, they call me that I have to leave my car and come back tomorrow so we can see was the problem. I told them I am using this van to drop my kids to school tomorrow morning. But they said they can not do anything. No a friendly customer service, not honest people, and just wasting time. I will recommend this place.

Tires apparently were in unnoticeable red zone and needed replacement, but was never mentioned to me at check out. I came to Honda of San Leandro Yesterday because my car was making a weird noise when I started it and I wanted to have the matter promptly checked out before it got worse. I went to the service department where I was very warmly greeted by Jessica at 7:30 in the morning. I have been going to Jessica for 10 years and she is always very professional, honest, and curious. I dont trust many people with my car but I know she will always do exactly what is needed and nothing more or less. I had to wait a little bit for the shuttle to take me home and Eric was the driver and he was very polite. Jessica said she would call me when she had a diagnosis and I could get the shuttle back to the dealership and pick up my car. I was called a few hours later as they get pretty busy in service, that I can understand, and was told I needed a new starter. No big deal. Im just happy it wasnt something more complicated than that. A different shuttle driver picked me up promptly at my house and drove me over to the dealership where I found my car in perfect working order and looking shiny and clean and like new. Suffice it to say, I am never disappointed with the service I receive from Jessica or SL Honda. I shall remain a customer as long as I have a car!

Disclaimer: I did not purchase a vehicle here. The reason why I felt I should leave a review was because we had a vehicle issue and came to this Honda for service. Even though we pulled in very late (10 minutes before they were about to close on a Sunday), and the service center wasnt even open, they were very patient and kind with us, trying to jump our car battery, allowing us to use their restroom, and getting the paperwork taken care of. As the car was repaired the next day, Id say they did a great job overall.

The San Leandro Honda dealership couldnt have been nicer or more professional...Went into get my Civic serviced for drive back to Las Vegas and I was greeted at the door by a very nice lady who took care of all the details. Car was then serviced in less than an hour perfectly and the waiting room was very pleasant, even had a place to charge my phone. The overall experience was typical Honda quality. Solid service experience.My Honda was approaching 90k miles, so I was due for a tune-up, alignment, fluids flushing, and air-filter replacements (according to the drivers manual) - essentially a major check-up is the jargon I believe they use.I like to repair what I can on my own prior to resorting to shops. So I was able to perform a tune-up, flush engine oil, and swap air-filter before heading to San Leandro Honda. They reduced my repair cost significantly once I told them of what I had already performed.Anyway, I made an appointment for 7am and was out of there before lunch. I finished some personal work in the lobby. The staff was friendly and left a magnanimous amount of donuts out for customers.My experience was fairly straight forward, I scheduled an appointment, was transparent about my personal repairs on the car, and was also my first time at this location. I bought my vehicle used this year and waited until 4 months to restore its health. Try not to wait too long like I did for a check-up on a used-bought car.

Came in to get my civic serviced. Was initially greeted by a nice gentleman named Zach! He took all of my information and asked me if there was any additional questions I had or anything I needed to know. He provided a shuttle service for me to and told me he would be contacting me when my vehicle was ready to be picked up. As soon as my car was completed, he contacted me and let me know it was ready whenever I was. This is a great dealership. Just last week I had to take my car in for a oil change. Zach Torres was my sevice writer and he made sure it was will taking. got me a ride home and back. Got a call about an item that was not done when car was in for service. I had to go back and have the item that I already paid for put on. The service personnel completed the omission, but I had to rearrange the rest of my day.I had worked a midnight shift and was held over and had to go back tonight. The bottom line I was going to try and get some sleep but because of the failure to install the paid part I spent that time at the dealership. It was good that they found the part was not installed . Luckily J was not charged for any other parts or labor.

Brought my car in to be serviced at this location for the first time. The first person to greet me when I walked in was Zach. Being that it was my first time here I was assuming I was going to get the run around like every other dealership. This was not the case. I explained my issue to Zach and he made me feel very comfortable that I was leaving my car in the right hands. Zach made sure I got shuttle service and contacted me throughout the process of my car being serviced. I have never had such a great experience before and will definitely be bringing my car here in the future.

My review is about service department. I like it there and been going for around 3 years now. Prices are fine (especially with coupons) and in my opinion are a bit cheaper than other dealerships in area.Of course, dont get me wrong and do some things yourself/in other places - like changing air filters and tires (and probably, tire rotations too).Also, personnel is very friendly, never seen any of them rude 👍P.S: Also a plus for wifi, coffee and donuts.

Overpriced repairs and they seem to like to make you wait. Called them about a repair and they said it would be ready when I got there, it wasnt. They said itll be ready in 20 minutes, it wasnt. They said, were just drying it off since we washed it for you, the next representative said they just finished, would you like your car washed?!! Wont go back under any circumstances.

Had a negative experience with them previously but the service manager Todd immediately contacted me and resolved the issue. They took responsibility of the problem, and made sure I was satisfied with the service. I went back today and they followed through on what they promised me months ago. Its not possible to always get everything right the first time, but when a company goes out of their way to make things right afterwards, I consider that a great business. I buy a lot of vehicles. I bought (4) Honda’s within the last 2 years. This will be our 5th. We recently bought a Honda Civic from tracy Honda. They cheated us on the loan. They bumped the loan up by $2,000 without us looking. There is a lot of bad dealerships out there. I appreciate San Leandro Honda for being straight forward with us. The loan and total process was quick. We were in and out Nwithin 1 hour including the test drive. They are honest and straight forward. What you see is what you get. Neal was our car salesman. We will be back soon for more cars.
