Only came in to test fit some gear and ended up finding one of the best bang for buck helmets on the market. All the staff were super nice and the woman who helped me was extremely helpful and got me the perfect fitment. Couldnt be happier.

I’ve been shopping here for years, and customer service has been, on average, excellent. Several very competent staff members, who are riders themselves, who will help you solve your particular need or problem in the best possible manner, or tell you upfront that they can’t do it.

Great customer service. Bought Arai helmet, jacket, pants and everything. Went back for a size exchange and Bluetooth headset install. They even helped me until 7:15pm after closed hours. Highly recommend for shopping any motorcycling gears.

Generally a great experience when I come to cycle gear. Last time was over the last summer, when I was looking for a comm system and a new helmet. One person was helping us, but then seemed to disappear. I flagged down someone else, Maddie, and she was able to help me out very quickly. I found what I needed, and she even installed the comm in my helmet while I waited. Cycle Gear isn’t even close to where I live, but I go there first every time.

I’ve been a regular customer since I had motorcycles and never had any problems or concerns about their customer service. Yesterday I called them to see if they have available OEM tires for my Road Glide ( all Harley Dealers are out of stock for at lease a month to wait), She told me that they have the rear Tire but no front but can get it in a day. Thething that I admire is that she talked to me in a very professional manner compared to the Dealerships I called where I was put on hold for a long time then to call me back. I highly recommend Cycle Gears for all your MC needs!!!

Solid service, quick and helpful. No complaints with the people. Needed a part for an older bike and knew it would not be in stock so found a universal fit piece. It didnt, even with modifications to make it fit. Found some NOS online and bought that. Will add the price of the universal fit to the project cost. Live and learn.

I don’t have a cycle gear near me but when I find one I do my best to catch up on everything I need. Customer service from Maddie was amazing. She took the time to explain and fit all products that we bought for me and my three boys as they are new riders. First and foremost,As soon as I walked in a young lady by the name of Crystal, who is one of the employees, greeted me and made me feel welcomed. She really took time on trying to help find the right helmet for my budget. This is actually the second employee who had made me feel like I belong there. I really think that this is the only store in the bay area that will jump quickly to help you out and thats what I like about them. Id say prices seemed kinda high, but i have no bases of comparison as it was my first time getting motorcycle gear for an upcoming riders training course. As far as i can tell, its an all around great place.

I have been shopping at this place since Thanksgiving last year (2020). Great place for all kinds of motorcycle gear. I have had a really challenging time getting the right helmet size/ fit - and the store and staff have been very accommodating about the numerous exchanges I had to make to find the right helmet - which I have finally now got. I started by buying some great deals during Thanksgiving - including 2 BILT brand bluetooth helmets. One of them ended up being defective (the headset wouldnt charge), which ended up in me having to buy a separate SENA headset - which was annoying in the beginning - but given the changes in help, has turned out to be a blessing as I had to keep switching the headset to the new helmet each time. The staff has been great helping me each time installing the headset. Cheers!

Wife and I went in to pick out a new helmet for her, and every employee that we came in contact with was extremely helpful. Evan fitted her for her helmet, and she ended up getting a helmet that fit her perfectly, and she loves the design. She also needed gloves, and being that shes got short fingers, she was having a difficult time finding gloves that fit. The blonde girl that was working at the time, helped her out by showing her gloves that she liked, and that fit a females hand better. My wife really likes her gloves too. And I found more stuff to buy, that I may or may not have needed. Thank you to the Cycle Gear staff, its always been a good experience at your store, it makes it a lot easier to spend my money with you.

Super friendly staff, especially Evan and Rebecca who helped me. Huge selection since its the biggest Bay Area store. Gas station next door so its a great place for ride meetups and its right next to I-280 for easy access.

I appreciate having a real store with items I can actually touch and in this case (new boots) to actually be able to try them on for proper fitment. I had numerous employees offer to help, Im not sure they really knew much about boots, though that wasnt really an issue for me, they were available if needed. The downside of the visit was the cost of the boots I bought, they were $20 higher than the same item on Amazon with next day delivery. I mentioned this to the salesman but he didnt seem to care. I notice that the Cycle Gear website mentions a 30 day price guarantee but dont see anywhere that they stand behind that. I dont mind paying a little more for a real store but felt that almost 20% is a little high. Service and stock excellent, price a little high.

The lady who helped me didn’t do a great job at sizing my first helmet and was a little rude/in a rush. It was too big and l came back two days later to exchange for a better fitting helmet. Christian was able to find me the best fitting helmet for my round shaped head and was super friendly. Kudos to the great service the 2nd time around!

So Im just starting to get into motorcycles, which can be a bit intimidating as you start learning and gearing up. I went in three weeks ago on a Thursday afternoon looking to buy my first helmet and gloves. My friends advised me to buy online as it cheaper, but I prefer buying in person as I like to feel the products.Anyhow, I walk in saying that I need my first helmet and Im pretty sure Im a large after measuring myself. The guy in the helmet area directs me to one of the most expensive Arai helmets (around 800 bucks) they had, and begins talking a thousand words a minute about it as though I know what hes talking about (pin lock was mentioned 10 times). I did just tell him Im looking for my first one so I dont get why hes using acronyms without explaining what I means. I leave it on as I figured I need to check the fit of a large. After hes done talking, he doesnt bother asking me what Im looking for and tells me to leave it on for a minute.I went ahead and looked at trying on the two brands I had in mind after talking to friends, Bell and Shoei, as I was trying to decide if I wanted to invest in a quality beginner line (Bell) or the more expensive but still in my price range Shoei. Guy comes back and sees I have both and proceeds to tell me that he has that very Shoei im holding and how Bell sucks and look how itll do terrible in the rain (cuz it rains so often here...) and how I should buy the Shoei. Do they work on commission?Anyhow he still didnt bother asking me what I was looking for and I felt all he cared about was up selling on whatever I was holding that was more expensive. I went there hoping to gain knowledge, confidence and help figuring out what made sense for me, but that didnt happen.I was ready to buy a helmet and gloves that day a solid $500 purchase, but I didnt buy anything as I was pretty ticked at the guys selling strategy especially for a noob like myself. Did I mention he never asked what I wanted? Ended up buying online instead, the very helmet I was holding in my hand and gloves I found that day. Will not comeback here to buy my Jacket as they dont seem to care what youre looking for instead up selling the most expensive things they have.

Frequent sales, excellent variety of brands and products -- lots of dirt, adventure, touring, and sports options, from basic entry-level gear, to more specialty/ higher- end. If you manage to have a need for something not in stock, theyre able to order and either ship to you at home, or to the store. Hubby & I literally enjoy including roaming through this CG on our date nights, we love this place!

Good selection of gear and the prices are comparable to Amazon. Staff is friendly and makes suggestions based on what you need. Two thumbs up!
