Outside of being a fan and spectator I am totally clueless about hockey. Signed my kid up for a learn to play “league”. Had his skates sharpened and stick cut. I wish I had gotten the employee’s names to give them proper recognition but the two that I interacted with working afternoon 4:30ish on 09/23/2021 were fantastic. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable and patient with someone who had no idea. The lady behind the counter even taped my kids stick. Won’t hesitate to bring my money here if my kid gets serious about the sport.

Friendly staff and a lot of things for hockey.They can help you to choose the skates measuring you feet on special 3D scanner. Then they can bake skates so they are better fit.In the middle of the store there is a small put with net and few obstacles on the plastic sheets so you can try a stick.They can also sharpen your skates.

Out of the way, but if you need to go to a pro shop, its worth the drive. I ordered skates from them online. After playing a game I realized they didnt fit right. Thanks to their 30 day guarantee, drove down and swapped them for a new pair.But if you can avoid it, dont get your skates sharpened here.

Pure Hockey is so much better than the former store that they took over here. Its so much more organized and with the latest gear in stock. You wont find deals like you do on the web, but this store will price match anything you find on their site. Staff is super friendly and love the game of hockey as much as you do.

Everyone here has been very friendly each time Ive been in. A different shop did a really bad job mounting new holders on my skates, to the point that both blades were visibly bent. I took them in to this location and Cole was able to fix them for me on the spot. Really appreciate it!

Store experience is great but then I went online...yuck. No sales will go thru and I now get a few emails a day. My daily ritual is to unsubscribe and delete their emails every morning.

Store was clean and organized, however to help customers not touch surfaces, the entry door should at least be a bit propped. Also, when I entered, one of the employees rushed to ask what I was looking for. He certainly wanted to be helpful but he came too close to me to feel comfortable during these times.

I live in a place where there are no hockey stores (Austin, TX). While on a business trip to Silicon Valley I drove for over an hour in traffic to get fitted by Pure Hockeys goalie on staff, Dom. It was completely worth it, and I highly recommend both Pure Hockey San Jose, and Dom, to any goalie in need of gear. Dom was able to tell me about his likes and dislikes in his own experience as a goalie in terms of gear, and could observer the equipment on me to make judgements about fit and safety. I felt so confident dealing with him that I decided to buy some pieces that I didnt even need at the moment (pads, blocker, trapper), because I wanted to get his valuable input.

Prices are significantly higher on skates compared to Hockey Giant, and the selection feels significantly less -- it could simply be that PH chooses to carry higher-end stuff, but Im not spending $500 -$1,000 on skates for my kid. Feels like there really should be more than one option of adult entry-level skates under $250.Employees are still friendly and very knowledgeable, and theres still plenty of other gear like pads/ gloves/ helmets. In fact goalie gear is surprisingly well represented. Looks like a good selection for inline skates and roller gear.

Staff was excellent, helped me get everything I needed and knew everything I asked about the different gear.Whole wall dedicated to all the different brands of skates and models.Everything was well organized and easy to find what I was looking for.There wasnt a sale when I was there but you can get great deals when they do their clearance sales.

Great staff. The inventory is really nice, but its great to get HELP from someone who really knows the gear, the pros/cons and understands price sensitivities as well. Weve been really happy with general gear purchases as well as super happy with the skates we bought and the help received for that bigger purchase.

We shot here every time we are in town. Great selection. Be careful having skates sharpened though. Had to have them cross cut somewhere else to start all over after they were sharpened here.

Good Selection, friendly Staff. The local store for the internet giant hockey equipment company has a friendly, knowledgeable staff and a good supply of gear. The main issue is that its location on Tully Road means that you are going to deal with terrible traffic no matter no matter when you visit.

The people are good, good selection of both player and goalie gear.That being said, the really borked up my goalie skates. The inside edge of my left skate looked like it had unnecessarily seen a flat grind, and then the edge not restored. The result was that the inside edge was flat. Like, literally flat.I usually inspect my skates before I leave, but I missed this at first glance.Once I noticed it, makes one wonder: did they just not finish the skate sharpening and then let it out the door, or did they have someone on the wheel who hasnt quite figured things out yet.Otherwise, theyre good people.
