Needed Decking for patio. She was super helpful and even gave us a sample and mentioned we should bring in a piece if we want to be really sure, which is what I did.While she was busy the male person helped out and he simply said that they dont care that type. Didnt suggest anything alternatives nor offered any other advise. So any question I asked his answer was i dont know and we dont carry this type.So i waited for her again and she was super helpful. She tried to find out what brand it was and even helped us to color match it as close as possible.I would give her 5 stars and him negative 1 hence 2 stars. Some people take customer service seriously and others dont.

Very SHADY business with CONTENTIOUS owner! My contractor ordered grade A redwood. I visited their store to checkout grade A material that I was supposed to purchase through my contractor. At the time of drop the invoice had changed product grade to A/B. There was no item on display stating A/B grade and they did have grade B product that was way lower in price. I asked the drive what is A/B and he couldnt explain. He asked me to call the store. I call the store and I got the rudest response....stating I accept the drop right then or there there were other buyers in line!!!! I ask is this the redwood you have labeled in your store sample as grade A and the person started yelling :-((( He was not able to answer my basic question as to why the difference in the sample labeled in store and the invoice. My contractor tried to talk to them saying we can take the drop but will they be willing to take any cracked or grade B pieces back? All of his effort got no reasonable answer, he was told they dont want to do business with him. This store has no questions asked policy at the time of delivery!! Never take any chance with such out of touch and deceitful people. My contractor was even hassled on delivery time from morning to 3pm to oh we are dropping now!!!!

They are our main lumber supplier for exterior fence, gate, and decking supply. The redwood and ipe they carry is super high quality and they are fair priced. The owner is a great guy.

Just stopped by for several boards of WRC 2x6 Clear Heart . The store was understaffed, had to wait in line to learn a message from rude owner of the store that “they don’t have time” for small quantity.An employee was about to help, but angry owner interrupted.Good luck, guys, hope your business continue to grow

I recently purchased IPE wood and accessories to renew my backyard deck. The quality of the wood was excellent in all aspects (surface, lack of warping, no cracks, no termites, etc); delivery was on time as agreed upon, the driver was friendly and professional. It is true that the personnel in the shop seemed at times a little stressed when the phones were busy, but they always treated me politely and adequately, and they provided meaningful answers to all my questions. I certainly would (and will) be a repeat customer, and I feel ok to recommend them to my friends.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OR SUPPORT THIS STORE! We bought wood for our deck and it was infested with terminates. When we called to ask for a refund, they refused and said they would not take the wood back or provide new product.They also said they will knowingly and willingly sell their customers wood that is infested. Instead the manager said it was not a big deal and to sue him instead. Poor customer services, unprofessional, and poor quality product.IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY NEGATIVE NUMBER REVIEW I WOULD!

I dont understand all the bad reviews. I have been going to this place for a couple of years now and I always had great service. The staff knows their stuff and they are very nice (granted the owner is a little more dry).And yes, expect to wait if you go there as they take their time to answer customers questions. So dont go there if you are in a rush. People complain about the quality of their lumber ... My experience has been much better than any other lumber yard I have been to where it sits outside in the elements.

This is a very hard job that they do better than most. Their prices were slightly better than elsewhere, their knowledge of how decks go together and the maintenance of various kinds of decking is thorough. It takes a big chunk of time to deal with each customer and they have a pretty darn efficient quote and delivery system. Each of the sales staff has good mastery of the subject and the inventory. If they dont have something, it is there in 3 to 4 days, instead of a week to 10 days elsewhere. I found them helpful, hardworking and friendly

Initially, we had a great experience selecting and purchasing all of the framing and finishing materials to build our deck. But when we attempted to get a quote for the railing we chose (after viewing their in-store displays and POSTED price/linear foot), we received the worst customer service possible. After giving an accurate footage (and the in-store salesperson agreed it would be around $1,600), we received an email from the railing guy with a single item 1 Railing priced at $3,800! Repeated requests to clarify either why the price was now doubled or even if the correct linear footage was used to calculate the price, we received NO REPLY. Visiting the store personally, we were brushed off quickly, with excuses that sometimes the prices posted on the displays get moved by kids (what?) and that the store is so busy, that is why we would have not received any answers. For 4 weeks? We just want an answer to we can get our project done, even if we need to select a different railing system. The abrupt, excuse-making comments we received during our visit let us know that our DIY project was a very low priority. Very unfortunate, since weve already been a paying customer. And they really are the best resource around. Im sure they are busy enough that they can choose to ignore or offend customers like us.

They need to clean house. Staff sounds miserable. You ask them a question and they’re hesitant to give you information. They respond with smart remarks and try to give you little information as possible. I try to keep a positive mind set but these folks can’t seem to understand what friendly service is nor reciprocate It...

My wife and I have bought decking from this store and other wood materials twice. Both of my personal experiences have been less than pleasant. They are very rude, they take their time and are in no hurry and the lumber is average quality. I will not recommend them to anyone. The owner needs to retire to not deal with customers, the other employee seems like they want to walkout anytime. Ask if you can pick thought the wood so you dont get horrible pieces of lumber - let us all know how that worked out.

Those people absolutely hate decks ! They dont like customers either. Dont make a mistake and go there. They do not want you there. They actually tried to talk us out of getting a deck. They wont give out prices because they said they change all the time because the price of gas goes up ? OK I get it ill look elsewhere.

As many others have pointed out these guys have horrible customer service, specifically the guys behind the counter. I live nearby and as much as I hated dealing with them it was a bit too convenient for me not to go in occasionally. That in mind, Ive been here numerous times and the customer service has always, always been bad. The final straw was a month or two ago when I had to order some specialized colored screws for deck fascia. It should have taken a few days but it took weeks of following up and no returned calls before I just cancelled it. Every time I called I was fed the same Let me check with the supplier and Ill call you back. Not once was I called back. Called Pinecone Lumber in Sunnyvale and had what I needed later that week, a bit of a drive but well worth it to avoid these guys. All for a box of freaking screws.

THE MOST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER - stay away from these guys if you can. Every staff member I talked to here was RUDE and they dont want you to be there. They are just arrogant because they are the only store in the area who carry multiple brands of composite decking material.

Horrible experience . I wanted to purchase oz posts, and on they were listed as stocking dealer . Turns out they only have them once in a blue moon, and they have to be ordered . Initially over the phone they told me it will take 2 days to get them. Turns out it takes 10 days or so. Whats the point ?! Number of sites offers les time. I should have gone tru the local HD, which had 5-6 days delivery.Not to mention that they dont call you back as promised ( on more than one occasion). I ended up making 25 min one way trip, just so they can tell me about the 7-10 day delivery time. give me your phone number and we will call you in few mins . A little over 3 hours later i went there.Couple of more small things ... Just not worth the time. Its probably ok store if you want to get something that they have in stock, but best to go there and not ask them over the phone.I ended up ordering it from another place which low and behold is able to overnight them. It took 2 calls, with 15 mins total time spend . Not an item everyone buys all the time .No need to waste time and gas.
