I was denied service and discriminated upon. If you are a person of color and lower income, DO NOT go here. They will dehumanize you and give you subpar service. I WILL never go back to Eye Site Optometry because they will never help me with my eye sight.My first visit was a year ago and the optometrist started an inappropriate conversation with me regarding my ethnic background. She is insensible and does not take responsibility of her actions. The staff there is highly insecure and will refuse service to you if you do not look like them or belong to their race.I was able to get a prescription with a more reputable and professional optometrist and got glasses there. I am so happy with my current glasses. Please be aware of this optometry business. They will harass you and try to make you feel as insecure as them. They DO NOT care about a certain population of patients and will refuse to serve you if you are “perceived” as a threat (taller than 5’0, darker complexion etc).They also close at random times throughout the week and will lock the door during business hours to keep people out. To be honest, they seem very unprofessional for a business running in the year 2019. There are several laws and policies prohibiting such conduct. Maybe there needs to be a change in profession if you are not able to provide quality service to all people.And if you don’t want to serve people like me, post a sign that says “people like me not allowed.” Oh wait, that is illegal! Since the 1960’s that has been illegal. Once again, any women or men of color who are low income DO NOT go to Eye Site Optometry!Essentially, I hope the way they treated me will NEVER happen to someone like me again.
