I would give 6 stars if I could. They use fresh high quality ingredients and everything is delicious. I had The Green Eggs and Ham sandwich and my partner had a Mr Sunshine. You get to choose your bread, and it comes with a side of a tangerine, a fig bar, chips, or a salad (for an extra dollar). Also they gave us two free mini cupcakes. I think they came with the sandwiches but I didn’t know that so it was a pleasant surprise. Overall the food was of great value. I also got a medium cold brew and my partner got a medium salted caramel latte. Both were very good and not too expensive. Highly recommend coming here for breakfast or lunch!

Charming and cozy coffee shop along the Alameda near the arena. Extremely friendly staff. Place is small and fills up quickly, but orders are delivered relatively fast. A nice neighborhood establishment thats helping to shape the downtown character.Food is delicious. Well be returning frequently.

This is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in Silicon Valley. I’ve tried 4 different sandwiches and each one brings a different kind of enjoyment.The staff was very friendly because he patiently wait for me to make my choice and respond with his suggestions when I requested for them.The iced latte and breva latte are awesome companions with the sandwiches, especially given the hot weather recently.

Pictured is a #chaitealatte cupcake, mini creme brulee and a soft creamy berry tart. The cheesecake was perfect paired with a graham cracker crumb base with a light frosting and crisp caramelized snap. Thoroughly recommend stopping for coffee, tea and a sweet!

This is one my favorite to go to coffee shops. Theyre lattes are amazing! My favorite is the salted caramel latte. Before COVID, they would serve the lattes in a mug and they have some art on top. When you get a sandwich meal they pair it with this cute mini red velvet cupcake. Nice detail on their end.

I have been a frequent visitor here ever since we moved here several months ago. My husband and I both enjoy coming here for breakfast. Their sandwiches and drinks are delicious. I love their cupcakes. Possibly too much.We had Hannah create our baby shower cake and it was not only beautiful but equally tasty. The staff are always positive and friendly. I love how they have dog biscuits and seating for my furry friend. Its a great community asset.

Coffee isnt great, this is certainly no artisan shop (in an area filled with them), but it looks nice and will do the job if you order sugary stuff. Decor is a little too house wife tacky for my tastes. Bad, overused fonts of all sorts of varieties everywhere - but thats my inner graphic designer talking.Their food is pretty decent, though expensive considering a lot of it is clearly ingredients/bread/etc sourced from the grocery store. The sweets are hit and miss. Croissants arent the real deal, closer to the crescent roll stuff you get a Starbucks. I enjoyed some of the danishes when I tried them.The biggest thing going for this place is the lack of competition in the area for a simple cafe that serves food, and I like the size. They also have good service, plus if you order a sandwich you do get a small treat plus a salad, so its not a terrible value.

The place is nice! Real quiet and serene, which is a good thing to morning people like me. The food was great and served right away. The employees and staff were nice, too. Coffee is good mocha and lattes and a nice small place to sit and drink. The food is expensive in comparison to other cafes in the area. A breakfast wrap is about $15, a bagel sandwich $7-$10 bucks. So two coffees and two breakfast items will run $25-$30 also a mini cupcake is $4 super small cake little bigger and a mini cupcake is $8. I understand it is expensive to run a business but that is really pushing it. Ill stick with the coffee unless those prices get out of control as well.

Good coffee and baked goods with some cool coffee art to top it off. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is cozy though a bit limited if its busy. The baristas were very friendly.

This little spot has great coffee and maybe the best breakfast sandwich Ive ever had (the Green Eggs and Ham on a croissant is killer). I dont know what kind of black magic they do to their bacon to get it so perfectly thin and crispy but its excellent. 😗👌🏼

Cute latte and art and great breakfast! I had a cappuccino and Joes breakfast which included meats, cheese, onion, and egg in a English muffin(my choice). The combination of everything was fantastic. I also chose the mini orange as the side and it even came with a super tasty mini cupcake! Who ever heard of a full course breakfast?! Im also a bit of a coffee freak and their everything to do with espresso drinks is very expertly done!

The best bakery I visited so far.A couple of days back I visited this place for the first time to try out their cupcakes. I ordered and paid for 2 cupcakes. Hurriedly, I picked up only one and left the shop.Today morning I visited again to get a cup of coffee and cupcake again. And to my surprise, the shop lady remembered me and offered me a cupcake I left couple of days back!wow!! I was totally surprised with such a cute gesture.I would rate their customer service- 5/5, cupcakes- 5/5, cappuccino- 10/5.Must visit if you are craving for early morning coffee.

SERVICE - I have received good and bad service at Hannah. TO THE MANAGER: please know unfriendly employees who don’t understand that you are in a service industry do hurt your business! As a customer I expect to be met with kindness and attention. Can’t say I have always received that here, so I won’t be back, which is sad, because generally speaking, I really like supporting local businesses. Also, if you’re looking for a knowledgeable barista - which is usually typical in a local coffee shop, you won’t find him/her here either. They serve coffee but little knowledge about the drinks they offer.

The wet cappuccino was NOT very good! I couldnt taste the coffee!?! It was water down. Others have said the coffee is great tasting! I dont know about that!? Maybe, the drip and cold brews are great, but the espresso needs work. The cupcakes look good, but I didnt try them. The breakfast menu looks good, too, but I didnt try it. Overall, the cafe looks clean, the music is jazzy, and the folks behind the counter are nice. Work on the espresso HannaH!

GOOD SERVICE ! My wife and I strolled along The Alameda in San Jose after having very average coffees at another coffee shop. We spotted this Hannah coffee shop and checked it out for future reference. On our last morning in San Jose shortly before we left for the airport to catch our flight back to San Diego we stopped by here for lattes and some fresh food for lunch later on.....we dont like airport food or coffee. A lovely young lady named Jennifer behind the counter took our order for 2 lattes with hazelnut syrup, a My Big Fat Greek Sandwich & 2 huge nice looking cookies. Our lattes were ready in a short time and came with oh so cute latte art by Jennifer the barista. They were what they call small size serves so only one shot.....a tad weak but still pretty decent. Our My Big Fat Greek Sandwich came with a choice of sides ...we chose a salad. We finished our lattes and left for the airport with our fresh made sandwich and home made cookies. We demolished our fresh made sandwich and cookies in the waiting lounge of South West. Everything tasted fantastic ! We thought this place was pretty good !

An amazing local coffee place in San Jose which isnt exactly known for amazing locally owned shops so this place is a gem!! The pastries are delicious, so are the breakfast wraps and sandwiches. The cappuccinos are why I will always come back! Love. And lots of great indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of shade for the summer. Dog friendly patio! Awesome place!

It used to be one of my favorite places to visit when I came in from out of state, but lately its just not the same. Portions are smaller than in the past and service is really slow. I noticed the change in July 2018 and hoped it was just a fluke, but it doesnt seem to be getting better.I miss the old Hannahs. Ill give them one more try when I return, but that will be my last if it doesnt revert back.

Amazing, sweet little cafe offering delicious sandwiches and coffee. I came here a couple of times for breakfast during a business trip in San Jose and it always was a great start into my day. Food and drinks are prepared with good attention to details and so is the interior decoration as well.

Hannahs is a really nice independent coffee shop just around the corner from Diridon station. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. Good coffee and pastries. It is just nice that I can walk from the station to this cafe and get some coffee right before or after a trip.

Strawberry vanilla cake cup is awesome. The other dishes on menu which I have tried and liked are Veggie on Hummus and Veggie starter. I took away one star just because they do not have a variety of chicken sandwiches in their menu. That worked for me because I prefer vegetarian food whenever possible. All in all it is a nice place if you are looking for healthy options. ☺️

Very cute on the inside, the staff were sweet, and answered a lot of our questions. What brought me to this location was the diverse foam art for the lattes however when I went with my two friends we all got the same bear/cat kind of kind. Was looking forward to more diversity but the coffee was good.

This place is sort of hit and miss, especially for lattes. The first couple times I went, the lattes were delicious. But Ive been back a few more times since, and the espresso is bitter and burnt tasting. Maybe it depends on whos making it? Either way, Ill be getting my coffee elsewhere.Id still go back for their food though, thats always been delicious. And, if you dine in, you get a cute mini cupcake with your meal!

We think Hannah’s is The best! Wonderful! Hannah does an amazing job - both a coffee shop, a delightful bakery (with the best cupcakes) and a restaurant. Darling decor. She only hires smart, polite servers. Good setting and there is seating inside and out. Dog lovers abound. Neighbors and others flock here. Headed out of town whole foods would not open till 8am and needed my coffee. So went to hannas. Very pleasant experience friendly they seem to know their customers, and are happy to meet new ones. Food reasonably priced and really good. Try this place you will love it.

I ordered the salted caramel latte with soy and loved it a latte - it has the perfect amount of sweetness and milk foam. We also ordered two gluten free hummus sandwiches - the bread was probably the best gluten free toast that ive had (it tastes like sourdough),

Pretty mediocre experience. The cold brew was somewhat bitter, but the drip coffee is ok. Baristas were verging on rude with not allowing us to sample the drip, telling my sister she had to pay before going to the bathroom (even though I was paying and still ordering my drinks), giving me attitude during my whole order, then just keeping my sister’s drink behind the counter without giving it to her. I think this place is probably great for pastries, but I won’t be going back.

We especially love the delicious breakfast sandwiches and cupcakes here. Weve been coming here since they first opened many years ago and it has consistently been a lovely place to visit with my partner.

I absolutely love this place and have been going here everyday for an year now. The coffee is really amazing (i get mocha!). The baristas are really nice and friendly. And the part where they keep complimentary small bites at the counter is like a sweet bonus.

Bought a pecan pie yesterday from Hannah coffee and sweets and the service was great! She even saw that I came in with my son and gave us two free samples of what the pie will taste like for today. When we tried the samples, the pie just melted in your mouth and the pecans were the perfect kind of crunch! This is definitely going to be our go to pie place for future holidays like this Thanksgiving!

Everything Ive had here is at least good, most things are really good! Including food and coffees. They could do with an outdoor speaker for calling names of orders but this is an extremely minor issue to me. This is my most frequently visited place on the Alameda!

Three words - Raspberry Cheese Danish!!My husband and I used to like in the apartments behind Hannahs so we frequented this coffee shop. I dont like pastries but I almost always get a raspberry cheese danish from Hannahs. Their coffee drinks are decent but their breakfast sandwiches and pastries are much better than the other nearby cafes.
