Best service Ive ever had by far. I scheduled it online, they sent someone for the car, called to tell me what they were going to do, then brought it back. No hassle, no extra services (and fees), no wait for the car that is not ready at the scheduled time. Very professional.

The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. The job fixing the ream main seal takes longer than some jobs. They made sure that I had a loaner vehicle. All done in a timely manner.

Basic oil change and two new tires. These services went well. I have a terrible transmission. It shakes shifting 2nd to 3rd gear and sporadic hard down shifting. This is the third time coming in with the same transmission issues. I am told no error codes, test driven like car and no problem found. The Atlas has less than 20k miles and needless to write, I am very concerned about the terrible transmission. I have had many cars and this is first one with such a bad transmission for a young car.

My experience was great! I had originally came in for multiple things to be done on my car, but forgot wallet at home so I had to downgrade to just free oil change. Micheal Rudolph was the guy that helped me and he was totally understanding and had us out in no time. The place even let me have my dog inside. Plus they have a really cool sales floor.

Cindy was awesome!!! She was so quick to help me the morning my car was dropped off and she even got me a courtesy car within minutes of me asking. Not only did they fix my cars problem a week sooner than promised, I asked a simple question about another issue and BOOM, she pickled my car in and got it fixed, no questions asked. How amazing. The tech was also great and helpful, giving up some time to fix my small issue super last minute (forgot his name).They are super helpful there! Thanks, Cindy!

We purchased a used vehicle last week and had an amazing experience with our salesman Andrew. The experience at the dealer was great comparative to others we have had and we felt the whole experience was seamless. I originally was going to leave a 5 star review, but we discovered a minor issue with the car a few days after purchasing. I have hearing problems so could not detect it but my husband got in the car and realized a speaker was blown. He called them seeing if we could get in to get it fixed since they clearly sold us the car with this issue and we have had the vehicle less than a week, and the manager told us we should have purchased the extended warranty (even though Im sure that wouldnt have been covered on that either) because they wont fix it. Im not too annoyed by this due to it being just a speaker, but if this happened to be a larger issue I would be pretty upset know that once you drive off the lot they are no help.

I love the way the customer service department greets the customers as soon as we walk in through the door. I have known this dealer for many years since 1992 and their service is wonderful. I have bought 5 cars from this dealer this shuold say something about their great customer service. Keep up the good work. I have been going to Capitol VW for years and this is one of those rare businesses which continue to improve the services despite being already an excellent place. We recently had VW eGolf serviced for 40K mile service. Advisor coordinate everything with me in timely manner, picked up the car and dropped it off after the service. What can be better than that. I did not expect it but they washed the car and sanitized the interiors. Id recommend this place to everyone.

I bought my new Beetle 2009 from Capitol Volkswagen in 2010. After having the manufacturers warranty expired last year 2019, I have immediately bought a 5-year repair service and a 5-year maintenance service. Capitol Volkswagen, per my personal experience for the last 10 years, is one of the best, if not the best, car service providers out there, not only in technical expertise delivery, but also in other areas of customer representative as well as finance.

Had a great first experience having my wife’s 2018 GTI at Capitol VW. The technician sent a video of his inspection of the car which I’ve never gotten anywhere else before. I though this was the coolest thing ever personally to see exactly what he’s seeing. He was even able to show a oil leak he found deep in the engine bay which further built my trust in them right there. Thank goodness it was able to be repaired under warranty! Javier my service advisor was super quick to respond and very helpful. I’m very glad to have them as my local VW dealer!

Dropped off my car for a warranty repair on a Friday night for an early Saturday morning appointment telling them that I would pick up on Saturday afternoon.I received a text message from my service advisor saying my car was ready for pick up at 3:30. The service department closed at 4 which I was unaware of and when I arrived to pick up at 4:15, the service department was closed.I had two people from the sales department walk away from me after telling me there was nothing they could do and I was out of luck because I didn’t have their hours or their policies memorized and I couldn’t have my car back until Monday morning because I failed to request a late pick up. Which I didn’t know I needed to do.After having two sales associates walk away from me, a very nice and helpful man by the name of Travis came along and asked if he could help me and when I explained the situation, he took my credit card info and pulled my car up and released the car to me which the sales assistants were unable or unwilling to do for some reason.It was a rather simple solution and his kindness and willingness to help turned around my experience and made me extremely grateful for people who actually care about helping others and turning a potentially bad day into a good one.If the first two sales associates would have made an effort to help before telling me that the there was no solution, I would have understood. However, it was their obvious annoyance over having to do something that wasn’t in their job description that was so frustrating. This establishment needs more employees like Travis.

Had another nail in my tire. Second one sine October 31 2019 when I had a full set of tires placed. Made an appt ( same day) and brought my car in. Patty greeted me with her amazing smile and took it from there. I did have to wait about 2.5 hours but it is what it is. The cost was covered under the tires warranty!! Yay

During COVID-19, the DGDG VW Service team provided the convenience, professionalism and lighting fast service with pick-up and drop-off in the same day. This level of service will bring us back to the dealer and service even after shelter in place.

I just had my 3rd yearly service and got new tires at Capitol VW Service, and everyone there is awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and they offer a shuttle service for customers. Chris was great, and the repair crew took great care of my car. They send a video of a run through of the undercarriage/shocks/etc, and let you know if anything is leaking or needs to be fixed. They kept me updated with texts throughout the service and even offered to stay late to wait for me to get there after work. A++ service, definitely recommend.

I have been taking my VW TDI’s there for more then 10 years, they always take great care of me and my car. I have been dealing with the same Service Advisor Patty who is great. If you love your VW this is the best place in town for parts and service.

Very helpful and open - had a few bloopers with my new VW, so contacted the Capitol Service Center, they were very professional and patient explaining things about the car ( I knew I should have read the manual :) ). They also had to do some minor adjustment to the car at some point, when went well, car is running and I am enjoying every ride.

Complete rip off. Charged me 750 dollars for a glorified oil change while removing items from the 40k mile service. Only realized this later on. Avoid at all costs

Recommend all Santa Cruz VW owners drive “over the hill” for dealership service and bring their cars here. The service department at Capitol VW is professional, thorough and honest. They took my car, with out an appointment, and the same day sent me a walk through video showing issues with my car. The service rep had amazing communication, texted and emailed updates and information. I felt that the video and information confirmed that I could trust what they said. So worth the drive to feel you will be treated well by honest, competent professionals.

So this is a two prong review. The service part of my review is a 4. I first received an email showing a walkthrough of my vehicle. The mechanic that checked our vehicle said we needed a water pump. After speaking with our advisor she wanted to have the vehicle rechecked by a supervisor. After it was rechecked it was determined in fact I did not need a water pump. That was a bit troubling. I thank my advisor for taking the extra step in rechecking our vehicle. As far as the shuttle service I give that a 1. I had to wait an hour and a half for a ride to be picked up and brought to VW. The driver said he was sorry there was one other person he had to pick up???? Where in SF. That was ridiculous

Took my car in (under warranty) for an oil leak. They said no leak, just that the engine was sweating oil. Im thinking that if I went to a doctor and they said that I was just sweating blood, that wouldnt be a good evaluation. Funny enough, a few months later (out of warranty), they could see that I had a leak and that they could charge me and fix it. Maybe I should give 3 stars, since this is typical/average for a car dealer. They did fix a couple of other items properly under warranty.
