The energy of the people managing this store is awful. I felt like taking a salt bath when I left there. There were two Spanish-speaking customers who were being helped by a Spanish-speaking associate, but the person working the door was really rude to all three of them. I shopped around the store, made a few selections and brought them to the register. I had also selected a paper description for a stone which I didnt buy but was considering. The manager behind the register would not allow me to keep the slip of paper with the stone description stating they were only for people who made purchases, but that I could take a photo of the slip of paper with my phone. She said this as she was handing me the receipt for my purchase. I thought of meeting pettiness with pettiness, but instead replied to her generous offer with a simple thank you. In addition, my mother, who was with me, asked about a particular stone and the manager behind the counter mocked my mom because she didnt pronounce the name of the stone correctly. On top of this horrible energetic experience, the items are overpriced and all sales are final - no refunds or exchanges is stamped on the receipt in red. I will not shop there again and I do not recommend this store. The selection is good, but no better than the East West Bookshop in Mountain View. Plus the prices at East West are more reasonable and the staff are friendly and welcoming to all.

This was my second time coming to this store. My first time in the store was amazing the employees that worked that day were amazing, kind, and helpful and I was excited to make my future purchases here. Although all that change today, my experience was the complete opposite of that. Some of the employees lacked costumer service skills. I felt pretty discriminated. I’m not sure if it was my brown skin, clothing, or the very few tattoos I have on my arm but the way they asked if I need help made me believe they thought that I was gonna steal even though my hands were visible the entire time, nowhere near my pockets or purse. At the end of my shopping experience while I was leaving store I told my friend how I felt and she then confirmed that they did indeed thought I was gonna steal. The employees said very loudly “She’s gonna steal from us” and she see’s one of them walking very fast towards me to ask “assist me”. I definitely will not be coming back based on this experience!

I was looking for a crystal pendulum and decided to stop in for a look. They had a great selection and with a lil help I picked out a beautiful tigers eye pendulum. The staff is passionate about what they do and the energy is on point here. Big selection of tarot/ oracle cards as well. Even have quite a few singing bowls . I really like this place . Ive been here four or five times and I will continue to give them my business! Support this local business! We need them in our community more than ever !

What an amazing place! I dont know why I didnt know about this shop pre-pandemic. I would love to spend hours there. There is a 15 min in store limit during peak hours. Ill definitely be going again during the week when its not as busy. I think I only stood in line for 15 min waiting to get in with about 4 people in front of me, and it was worth it!The shop is light and bright and absolutely beautiful. Their crystal collection is very breathtaking, and Im amazed at how many goodies are packed into this place. The employees are kind and helpful and overall Im so glad I went, even only having 15 min to shop. I found a tarot deck that is currently out of print and hard to find, so Im very happy!

I loved the crystals I got! The customer service was awesome, everyone was very respectful and kind. It’s a nice and calm store. I will definitely be coming back! The only downside is that we only get 15 minutes to pick out and buy our stuff, but it’s not their fault that corona is a thing, so I give it 4/5 stars.

I am not one to go out of my way to write reviews about anything, but I have been to this store numerous times and felt it was necessary. I love crystals, and I love the VAST selection available at this store, but the previous reviews touched on vibe that I felt like I also received from this one lady. (I brushed it off, but when I checked other reviews, the off-vibe feeling I got, I felt the need to write this). The younger girls who were working were genuinely helpful, but the vibe I received from what seemed like their manager was weird. It is not that she was not polite, but every visit, I felt as if her eyes were constantly on me, and I just had this feeling of uneasiness. As a person of color, I honestly felt like that vibe I received was racial profiling. A feeling that I would not have expected being in an area as diverse as The Bay.Overall, the rock selection they have is amazing, but they need to assess how they treat their customers, especially if this vibe has been mentioned several times in their review section.

Recently my gifted son and I went into this shop. He is really into crystals. First I appreciated the steps they had us take to ensure our safety from covid. But after walking in I right away got an uneasy feeling, and felt comfortable. I felt like we were being judge, and watched by one particular lady. I didn’t like the vibe I was getting. Not the experience I was expecting going into a shop like this. I knew there was a time limit going in, but felt rushed again by the same lady. She had made it a point to let us know how much time we had left. We made our purchases and left. We went to another shop were we felt comfortable and invited. Amazing vibes! We ended up making a bigger purchase at this other shop. I regret my earlier purchase form The Universal Connection Store, and felt the need to cleanse this purchase. I didn’t want any of that stores negative energy in my home. I will not be returning.

Just came there and the workers there are SO nice! At first i thought i might have a bad vibe since the latest replies give that, but i really didn’t. i felt safe and calm in there, at one point i had to calm myself down because the energy there is top notch..!! im a beginner at crystals and some of them were a bit pricey but it’s nothing i couldn’t handle:), i would go back. (probably am hehe)

Shop owners are friendly and helpful, good selection but check prices carefully and expect a 15 min max shopping time during peak hours. Tbh I prefer Angel Light Books and Gifts in Berkeley - there is no rush and the store has a much better vibe.

I love this place! I’ve been shopping here for a couple years now and have always had a great experience. They have a large selection of crystals, books, decks and more! I could spend hours in the store. Every employee I’ve encountered is always attentive, helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I placed an online order yesterday since the physical store is closed for now, and had the sweetest surprises with my same day delivery. My order was delivered wrapped like a present and my receipt had a sweet and thoughtful handwritten note personally thanking me for my order during this uncertain time. This simple, personal gesture truly made my day and I’m so grateful to have been able to show my support to one of my favorite small businesses in San Jose. Thank you!

Ordered some crystals and candles from them the other day to help stay occupied, and even though they said same day delivery on orders places BEFORE 3 pm they still delivered mine same day. I ordered around 4pm and by 5 the the adorable little goody bag was at my front door. The handmade package was that perfect touch of human connection that we are all seeking right now and felt like it was made JUST for me. Overall adorable little shop with decent prices that made me just a little bit happier during quarantine 😊

I had a lovely visit here. I found crystals I had not seen before and they were beautiful. It was a bit pricey, but Im from Tennessee so perhaps crystals are just more expensive in California? Nothing too crazy though. Anyhow the ladies working were very sweet and had such a pure energy like little angels or something! I loved that they gave info cards and a bag with the crystals. The inside of this spot was like a safe Haven of good energy in the hustle and bustle of the strip. If I lived near I would definitely come back for a reading.

Everything is set up nicely and the vibe is cool. They have lots of crystals, cards and other items. Ive been there twice. Neither times did I get a hello or can I help you with something? But they ask other people. I bought and asked questions the first time but the second time I was like whatever. I have money, granted I go in looking pretty rough. But Ill spend my money elsewhere. Its all about the energy right? Energy in this store wasnt the best.

Im not from the area but I love visiting different shops similar to this. The vibe was great, the women working were really nice and sweet as well as helpful. . I got a higher self reading from Lani, that was too spot on and gave me a lot of insight that was much needed. it was amazing. I definitely recommend coming here for all you spiritual needs. From stones, crystals, incense, sage, books as well as gifts to give to loved ones... will definitely visit again.. ☺

I gave a call ahead of schedule and the lady did not mention that it closes 15 minutes before the time online and I got there one minute ahead of schedule and they told me that they could not let me in even though I was the last customer and they had one minute left then I walked away and called them and talked to the lady about it that I called then she lied and said that she did not talk to me and she was the only one in the store and I could tell by her voice completely unprofessional this is my first time there I will never go there again

Crystals, crytals and more crystals and anything metaphysical

I liked the book selection and organization of the crystals, however I did not like the customer service. This shop is overpriced compared to many others Ive been to, it was my first time at this shop, I had driven 30 minutes to get there. I was looking forward to it because Ive been going to all of the spiritual shops on the west coast from LA to Portland. This was my least favorite because of the initial vibes I felt upon walking in. There was no hello when I came in, however every customer who came in after me receieved a hello. I bought some books and crystals worth over one hundred dollars. The lady checked my ID upon check out and said Just want to make sure youre not spending anyone elses money. I gladly showed her and she quickly glanced. I wonder if she identified that my name matched my Debit card, I also wonder if she asked the customers before and after to check their ID upon purchase or does she check everyones ID in the best interest of the customer. Does she care for the customers protection against identity theft in Willow Glen? Were you implying I stole my debit card I used to purchase my items?

Lots of amazing ancillary to go with my meditation practices. Love the atmosphere and location. Hit or miss on the counter staff tho. Otherwise a great shop 😊

This place has good spiritual accessories, but I had went 2 seperate times and both people who claimed 2 know anything about tarot cards gave me such opposite readings from what happened in reality. I would recommend shopping but no reading requests.

The shop is very small but has alot in it, mostly the same ol generic metaphysical items like candles, oils, cards, books, altar items, goddessy bits for home decor. Good selection of jewelry and stones & crystals, poor selection of incense. Good prices on jewelry and most readings/services, very pricey on goddessy home decor and any service offered by the holier-than-thou owner. Ample parking behind the shop. The best thing going for it are some of the store clerks/readers, especially Tami.The worst thing about it is the owner, Traci; she believes she floats above the rest of us as some sort of awakened being but really she is ice cold rude. I wont go back to UC because her attitude ruins it for me and there are plenty of other metaphysical shops around. Her Mastery classes are an expensive joke; they include speed-chanting and wise bits like never assume, makes an ass of u and me (seriously, on a handout) that she expounds cross-legged from a cushion in front of the circle like a guru while protesting Im no guru and it comes from you, not me (and every metaphysical book ever read, so just buy a book).Yes, I signed up for the classes but regretted it once in, hearing the drivel passing as mastery - BOR-ing, been there, read that. Nothing new, nothing original - like the shop itself (reflection of its owner). You agree not to share the info like its a deep spiritual secret but PUH-leez. Sorry to the folks who take it seriously but it just made me want to laugh and roll my eyes. When I had a family emergency and informed Traci I needed to leave the classes and asked about refund guidelines, she offered no compassion, just a terse no refunds. So buyer beware! But I was glad to be free of the tedium, anyway. And I agree with her on one thing: shes no guru; she is a business, period. Read the Yelp reviews, all negatives mention Traci by name.I give any stars for the readers/store clerks; they have always been helpful and compassionate, ime.
