Always a great place to grab a beer. Theyve got a lovely courtyard to sit and enjoy the beer outside on a nice day plus a wide selection of beers for there or to go.

Amazing selection of outstanding beers. Despite the price, it was a very pleasant experience trying out various beers with very unique flavors. Aside from a rotating tap, they also have multiple fridges full of other beers.They do not serve food, but are fine with outside food, so feel free to bring some food back and enjoy it with all the fine beers they offer.For 10 a beer, this isnt the kind of place Id go too often, but is definitely where I would go to spoil myself.

Awesome craft beer bar that is constantly rotating their taps. I have probably tried a new IPA every time I have been here. Also has a large selection of bottles you can enjoy in house or take home and as an added perk they allow you to bring in outside food since they only sell packaged snacks in house. Great patio and friendly bartenders. I highly suggest this place.

Beer was nice a lil bit on the pricey side, they have a short list for beer options, place wasnt that great, tables were a bit dirty and overall place needed more care, staff was ok. Not in my Togo back List.

Good beer selection. Both on tap and cans/bottles. A little pricier than other tap rooms but not by much. No wine or Hard liquor here. Just beer. About 30-40 tap beers to choose from. + Whatever they have to go. Menu is changed almost daily so the they hardly ever have the same beers on tap. Inside and outside seating available. No dancefloor, but good variety of music. One of my fav things about this place is that sometimes they play hip hop, 90s hip hop 😍. Cool spot to check out. Highly recommend if you a beer person.

Nice place to get a beer on tap and they have a great selection of to-go beers (which you can also drink on-site). It is however a bit expensive, and last time I was in the bartender wasn’t very helpful. But the location is convenient and there’s a nice patio to enjoy some beers outdoors during the summer.

Phenomenal, varied, ever-changing tap list that is organized by style and has excellent descriptions. No stab in the dark ordering here. Bartenders are really cool and super knowledgeable, not beer snobby at all. They love talking beer so ask them what to get and theyll have great suggestions. Also has a wonderful bottle selection for there (bombers only) or to take home.Atmosphere is always great, never super loud, likely to have the game on, never overcrowded, and the outdoor patio is both dog friendly and wonderful in the summer.They only have small snacks for sale but they encourage outside food and there are great places nearby to grab food to eat here.

Cool beer store with a bar, table seating, and an outside picnic type area. I didnt even know this little gem was in San Jose until I needed to find a place to escape the rain. It was early winter when I visited so I stayed inside and had a beer. The outside picnic type are looks like an awesome location to visit in the spring/summer. Lots of micro-brewed beers on tap as well as available for take out. No food available here, however, you can bring your meal in with you and buy a bottle or or draft from them. Great place. Will be back.

If you want the best spot for great craft beer in San Jose then look no further. Dee keeps an impressive collection of bottles and always has the freshest and most diverse taps around (40 taps in total!)To top it off, Chris and Shane behind the bar are awesome guys and know a hell of a lot about beer!Dont overlook this classy little spot.

I have been coming here for years. Honestly the staff is amazing and knowledgeable. The beer selection has something for anyone. Depending on when you go it can be a really productive environment or just a chill place to relax. Would recommend to anyone who loves beer.

Before this bar I was strictly a cider gal! Now I come here at least twice a week to try out a new sour beer.The indoor seating is cool and modern but the outdoor seating on the patio is my favorite. The bar is usually full of people, but it never feels noisy or bothersome and is a great place to have a conversation over some excellent drinks.They also have cooled drinks for take out purchase. I dropped a star because they close so early and I always have to leave (but I dont want to!) and the disappointing cider selection (but maybe Im just picky).

A good place to hangout. Good selection of beer and affordable as well. The ambience is nice and you can sit outside as well which makes for a good option. We reached late so it wasnt much crouded. It was a good experience overall.

The only disconcerting thing about this place is that 2/3rds of the cooler space was completely empty. Not much of a selection. Arguably a better selection at my local convenience store.

First time coming here. I enjoyed the layout of the beer bar as well as the enormous selection on tap and in the fridge. Corkage fees are reasonable and the mark-up on bottles is not too bad. Pretty loud inside when I went, but theres plenty of space outside. Definitely stopping by again in the near future...

Friendly, low-key beer joint with lots of seating, both inside and outdoors. Its all fancy beer, at fancy beer prices, which keeps the Woooooo! crowd away. I like to enjoy one of their 2 or 3 dozen beers on tap, while perusing the perhaps hundred available bottles.They do not have much snacks, but you are allowed to bring in outside food.

Some of the worst service I have ever had. 4 people in the bar and only 2 of us at the bar. Bartender and his friend are chatting it up and it took him a good ten minutes to notice we were out of beer. Great tap list, but you may have to walk up to their register to flag him down.*note shortly after my review the manager called the bartender to inform him of the review. Our beer was complementary, but we felt like we had slighted the bartender. He begrudgingly apologized for not getting to us fast enough and within 5 mins turned off the music. We left the rest of our beer shortly after. I would certainly give the bar another shot if the service improved.

ISO has a good beer selection, is super chill most of the time, has a nice outdoor patio and you can bring your own food in. Pretty much my spot to Beer and Relax. Im just repeating what others have said. Contrary to what Ed said there is plenty of bottled beer here, but he is looking for swill. Now back to my beer.

They have a fantastic selection of draft and bottled beers, plus knowledgeable staff who can help you make a choice youll love. There is plenty of seating both indoors and out, but keep in mind they start to get busy after 5pm, especially during the warmer months. They dont serve food, but you can bring in outside food plus they have menus (at the register) from local joints so you can order food for pickup.

Solid beer joint. Extensive can and bottle selection as well as a respectable tap program. The outside area is lovely, although you have to deal with the hustle and bustle of the downtown SJ... Its location is somewhat awkward, but being located right next to Ikes, provides synergy -- a sandwich and a beer = #winning.

Really wanted to like this place because theyre definitely serving an untapped (lol) market for beer shops and beer gardens in San Jose. Their selection of bottled and canned beers are limited which isnt a problem because they probably pivot towards being a bar. The beertender wasnt interested in telling you anything more about the beers on tap unless they were out of stock. It felt like he was only there to ring you up, pour your beers, and talk to his friends. I can appreciate beertenders giving customers their space, but his vibe was unwelcoming.Only the lights near the register/ taps were on. Yay for natural lighting but it was dark AF inside. We sat outside so we could see each others faces, and the open space was the only thing I liked about ISO. Beers were $$, even for SJ, ranging from $8-10 for 10-13 fl oz. For comparison, a pint of beer is typically 16 fl oz. Selection leans heavily on IPAs with a decent number of sours. If you want any other kind of ale or darks, dont expect more than a handful to chose from.

Love the outdoor seating, personal favorites were the Christmas Bomb! And Raspberry sour. Spent 2.5 hours there when I meant to only be there for 50 mins

Selection is good but they charge a corking fee meaning if you buy their already pricey bottles, you have to pay for them to open it for you. Youre better off at san pedro square.

This is not a beginners bar, this is a beer connoisseur imbibement institute where you can still have a conversation. If youve never had the pleasure of drinking over 200 different Beers, or more, youre a novice and you should (and this is one of the few places you can) ask for advice. ISO is one of the few places that can still cater to you - all you need to do is state your needs and desires to Chris, Dee, or Shane who can very easily Direct you. Any drinking need can be fulfilled. I like Corna. I like Bud lite. I heard about Plyny the elder. Is all you really need to say, you wont get the a fore mentioned beer, but you might get something better. These guys are in the top ten percent of beer drinkers. If youve never had more than 800 distinct Beers, youre not in the position to order without asking, but the ISO guys can help you, if you let them.

I like this place- huge selection of bottles a draught beer. I just wish they had descriptions on their menu. I couldnt figure out what I wanted just based on the names so I ended up with one I didnt love and another that was better but still missed the mark. The place was packed so I felt bad asking a ton of questions.
