New to town and found this shop and based on everyone elses reviews I decided to give them a call. I rate them a 5 out of 5 so far...and thats just based on Marcos attitude when I explained to him my situation. He came through and was very helpful and understanding.Great spot for a shop and it wasnt a mess in the parking lot and the bays were kept clean and tidy. I will adjust once I hear back about my car and go from there!

My 99 Miatas starter died in the morning and Marco had it replaced by the end of the day for a good rate. Definitely my guy.

A couple of years ago I needed a bent rear axle replaced and I got quotes from a dozen shops. Marco - who I believe is the owner at San Jose Autoworks - gave me the best quote by far (40% below the highest). His shop did a great job and were very prompt, very clear in their communication and very easy to work with. Did everything on time and things worked out as they said.Ive gone back since for some basic repairs and always have been happy. My impression is also that they are also very straightforward and Marco always takes the time to explain his view and answer questions clearly, and I personally appreciated this very much. Also, they would tell you when something is not within their expertise. Overall, this shop is GREAT VALUE for the repairs they do. One of the best shops I have dealt with over the years for sure.

Great place! I frequently go here to get oil changes and/or services done. Just got my front brakes replaced on Subaru and could not be happier--they did a super prompt, thorough job and they dont squeak anymore :) Right in the heart of Japantown so lots of cool shops/eateries to browse while waiting--stop at Roys coffee shop if you havent already.Only suggestion Id have is to be open even for half a day on Sat--bit hard for working professionals to make it but thats how most of these places are--keep up the good work
