Dropped off a 1957 Chevy truck manual solenoid starter at 8:00 AM Monday and picked it up at 4:00 PM the same day. They had to replace just about everything inside including the armature on this 60 year old starter. They even had a replacement for the ancient push button solenoid!! Highly recommend for alternators, generators and starter rebuild and testing.

Walked in the door with a 1920 Stephens salient six starter, disassembled, with shorted out wiring.Had a hunch this was the right shop to stumble upon. WOW! no hurry, its old, let me know when. 3 days, its done, fair price, high quality work! Very impressed & highly recommend.

Showed up today to have them test my alternator told me it was bad. I asked them if they had any rebuilt ones in stock unfortunately they didn’t. Told me they could rebuild mine if I bring it the next morning but I couldn’t since I only have one car. Offered me some tools to take it out in the parking lot if I wanted to. So I did, took it out had them rebuild it and put it back. All this in about a hour or so. Awesome people fast service highly recommend

Brought in a 40-year-old Westerbeke (marinized Perkins diesel) starter from a boat that had been partially submerged in saltwater. Starter was full of water and rust and I thought for sure it was a goner. Next day, shop called me to pick it up. Fully refurbished, new bushings and brushes, shined up and repainted. Looks like new. Cant believe it. Price was extremely reasonable, especially considering this was an antique, hard-to-replace part! Great service! Thank you!

Hands down, the best place for alternators! I paid well over $300 for a Powermaster 140 amp alternator that crapped out on me. Contacted Powermaster and they said theyd fix it if I shipped to them, but there was no guarantee on when Id be getting it back. I was in a time crunch and took it in to Ron to see if he could fix it. Within an hour and a half of dropping it off, after finishing a repair on another customers car, he had it apart, diagnosed, and called me. While he could replace the rotor with another inferior one, he recommended a compatible style that was much stronger and more reliable that would put out 100 amps. I needed the 140 and he said that rebuilding the recommended alternator would take only an hour and a half. An hour later he called to say it was ready. for only $140, I had a custom high output alternator that immediately far outperformed the junk I had paid almost $400 for, AND within 3 hours! This place is the real deal, old school, no frills, high quality shop. I just moved back to southern California, but Ill gladly pay shipping or make the drive up to do business with them again!
