Shout out to Alfonso P., he was SO HELPFUL as I considered purchasing a vehicle (Rav4 Prime) not available in my state. He arranged a virtual walk around of the car and hosted a family member of mine who lives in SJ to test drive it. He was great over over email, promptly answering my questions and showing a genuine desire to help me make the out of state purchase work. I decided against it in the end, but honestly this customer service was FAR better than anything I’ve been experiencing in my home city and I recommend Capitol Toyota to anyone in the Bay Area!
Made an appointment through chat and call back to confirm 3 days later. They said my appointment was not in the system. Made appointment over the phone for Sat. For 5k mile brand new car routine maintenance. Whats the estimate time for a completion of such service they said they could not provide and you have to talk to the service rep when dropping off car. Went to my Saturday appointment came 15 minutes early and was waiting in line with a bunch of cars. Waited till 40 minutes until a rep came to register. Asked rep how long it took and he said itll take the whole day or the next day to be completed. Told him thats not going to work out since need the car to drive the kids to school. Useless appointment system, they told me it is first come first serve. How do you expect people to keep up with their routine maintenance when you Toyota make it impossible or not feasible? Maybe it is the dealer. Need to make this complaint to corporate office of Toyota. This routine 5K maintaining should not take more than 1 hour just involved tire rotation and fluid checks.
Bought a new vehicle from these folks a few weeks back. Got a good deal, and they didnt push an upsell too much. Everyone was friendly and generally helpful. There was a little too much standing around waiting for things to happen, but they were relatively busy. In general, a good experience, and I would recommend them to others.

Called at 8:54am to schedule an appointment for an 11am appointment. The lady on the phone said I can come in earlier. I had my car towed and got there at 10:30am for a tire change since it was covered by their roadside hazard warranty. The service advisor was not able to find my appointment and said it will be ready by 3. I called at 4 to follow up and he said it should be done by 5. He said it will be done today. I did not hear by 6 and they closed. I still have no car and no house keys. I will not be taking my car here ever again. I missed work this morning to deal with my car service and I will be missing work again to pick up my car which should’ve been ready today.

Made an appointment to have an oil change at 8:30 AM. Waited on the lobby for 3.5 hours and got told it may take until 5 pm to complete the service. I even saw people come after me and have their cars done before mine. What is the point of appointments? Don’t waste your time here.

Worst experience in life. I was called in today (07/31) for TRD Tacoma off-road green with leather interior with moon roof. I was so excited that I was getting a great deal from this place. But as soon as I was ready to take the test drive with the salesperson, another salesperson came in and started changing the price to additional($8,999). When I saw that truck the price was 45k and then he changed it to $54k in front of my eyes.Another sales persons excuse was, we forgot to change the value of the truck. My concern is why the online is still showing that price then. when a salesperson called me he get the info from their online website.I believe is they are lying about their prices since nowadays people are hardly buying cars from any deals they are just trying to trick all the customers. I have wasted 4 hours today which was not even my fault.Guyz please watch out for these scams.

The Costco rep Raymond pulled a serious bait and switch on us. We definitely didn’t go ahead with the purchase but I have a serious issue with a dealership that will allow their salesman to downright lie. Ran our credit before disclosing the real price of the vehicle that was $5500 more than he quoted. He kept threatening that there were others who wanted to buy the car. Good. Rip them off then. We will be buying the same vehicle elsewhere at a more reputable dealership. If Tony Earnhardt is the new general manager, he needs to take note and make sure his salespeople are honest BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
Great service and selection. I bought my vehicle here and I bring it here for service every time it needs maintenance. The staff has been wonderful and courteous and the work has always been timely and thorough.
This service team is absolutely the worst in the bay area, representing sum of all the deception and falsehood you could possibly encounter at a dealer. They do not welcome even respect customers coming with their own coupons, managers intercept & takeover conversations between reps and customers. Once they dont even return the calls for the final drop off upon prior agreement.With all these add up - recommend folks like me (who like to know what exactly you pay for what) just go for a Tesla or similar vehicles that come with less mechanic maintenance and less dealership tricks.I am giving them 0-zero, but 1-star is the least to click.

We found a very great deal at Antioch Toyota for a rav4 2018. We went searching to make sure we got a great deal. Once we put out to the whole bay area. We received word from many dealerships. The only one that came close to matching Antioch was Robert Crawford at Capitol Toyota. He worked extremely hard to make sure we got a better deal.After a phone call or two we agreed on a price that worked for us. We came in the next day around 11:15 or so. After a test drive we asked about if they had any other vehicles. We found a silver and black one. Its beautiful sporty SUV that were very happy to have in our carport.Thank you to Robert and the whole Capitol Toyota team for making a very happy customer.

Unbelievable price! Great place to purchase a vehicle if youre seeking for a good deal but nothing else.My purchase experience is terrible. Although I specifically told to the sale rep that I did not need the test drive, the sale rep still insisted on the test drive and took away my drivers license for the rest of the day. Later on, I realized its their technique to keep the customers there until the purchase is complete. And the price negotiation took me 6 hours to settle down on a good deal. But the sale rep still did not return my drivers license even I asked for a break for the dinner. I was hold for another 1 hour while the financial department was preparing purchase process. Starvation let me make a scene in the dealership, therefore the sale rep finally returned my drivers license and let me free for a 1-hour break. Unbelievable dealership experience!Furthermore, their customer service is terrible, too. The sale rep did not go through the options on the window sticker. By the time of completing purchase, its so late and dark that I didnt notice the all-weather mats and liners are missing. When I called back for the mats and liners, the sale rep said the purchase was done and both parties signed the agreement, showing no willing to resolve my issue. Tried to call the sale manager as well. At the first time, the manger agreed to buy a new set for me. But nothing happened after two weeks. Called the sale manager 2nd time and found the manager completely forgot my issue and relayed my request to that sale rep as procrastination. The sale rep did call me back few days later, but thought I was a new customer with a delightful tone. When figuring out who I am, the sale rep hung up on me with an excuse of bad reception. My wife helped me to call back and still got the answer that they are working on it. Needless to say, I still have no following up from Capitol Toyota. Unbelievable customer service!Recommend this dealership if you can stand all this nonsense for a better deal.

This review is far overdue. I bought a 2014 4runner in August of 2018 from Capitol Toyota. It was used. I had a bunch of issues with it. Went during the time the warranty was still valid. One of the employees, not sure his name, was so unhelpful. I went Back multiple times until I finally asked to deal with the service department manager. Vinnie was not only friendly and kind, he helped me get to the bottom of warranty and really got the 4runner going again. If it wasn’t for all his help, and i mean TONS of help, I would be LOST with this vehicle. It was such a hassle and Vinnie really helped me out. I’d also like to thank Vinnie and also Daniel in the service department. I’ve been there so many times we all know each other by first name basis. They really helped me out when I thought there was no end in sight. Thank you to Vinnie and Daniel at Capitol Toyota.
Terrible experience. Came in to look at a trd pro Tacoma and trd pro tundra. There was a sponsored link on Google when searching Capitol Ford site showing them at MSRP. After speaking with Raymond he informed me that all pros are marked up 15k. What’s the point of the sponsored link? To goad people into the dealer searching for a fair deal. Then hope they fall in love with the car enough to buy it 15k over. Shady, unethical, and false advertising. If possible I’d like to speak the the GM of this dealer to try and iron this out. I bought my current Tacoma from here about 12 years ago and would like to continue business with you. But only if I am treated fairly and given the price that brought me in to begin with.
I purchased a 4runner from this place. Great vehicle but the customer service is horrible. Im a female, purchased this SUV on my own. I was working with one salesman in the begining and ended up finishing with another guy. I wasnt really sure about tires, condition of all that stuff, but I was still trusting of the salesman and the dealership. I asked about tires and anything else, due to it being a used vehicle. The salesman told me anything that is below 80% of new condition is automatically replaced. This is not true (several issues that were easily fixed but they ignored including AT tire tread that was so low I had to replace almost immediately). I also asked 3 times for a list of everything they did to the vehicle upon intake. Never got it. To top it off 2 days after I purchased the vehicle, the first salesman calls me and asked me to come in to finalize the sale. I said really? Its still there? He replied yes maam. Interesting I said because I bought it 2 nights ago. This place is nothing more than cars in, cars out.... not my problem once you give them your money. I highly do not recommend and females beware because its all about bottom dollar. They suck.
It’s a nice new place but they definitely want to bamboozle you. They didn’t want to budge on charging MSRP. They wanted to charge 35k for car that thankfully I found for 29k at another place. Their solution was to pick entirely different colors which was not going to happen especially for that amount of money or go down multiple levels to a lower tier model. When I explained that I couldn’t justify paying more than that they told me “good luck.” I ended up getting what I wanted exactly at Steven’s creek which price matched And I also purchased a extended warranty and gap insurance etc and I have another Toyota due for a major tune up that I’ll be bringing in. It’s too bad Capitol can’t see past trying to squeeze just a bit more money out of you too see the big picture. Seems kind of amateurish . Best advice is shop around and not waste time here because while they’re nice you won’t get any kind of deal here.
I came in to this Toyota location after I had already gone to other Toyota’s, and let me tell you this one was the best ! For a first timer on buy a car it’s frighting and you want to make sure you get the best deal . Neil helped me and my dad out and he was awesome ! Best service ever ! Really recommend coming here . Neil really helped me out explaining everything I had questions about and concerns. Him and his manager really made it possible for me to walk out happy with my purchase and good about the deal they worked out for me. Keep in mind I didn’t have a great credit score, but they still were willing to work something out for me. Really recommend coming here! The best services out of all the Toyota’s I went to this one is the best !👍🏻

Customer service was good but SUV price point is Not WORTH IT. I went to check exchange offer and doomed by the numbers they come up with! RAV4 Prime is more expensive than Tesla model Y! In addition, they value the excellent condition 2010 Camry under $5000!! (Already got an offer of $9000 for the same vehicle in Craigslist!!) I presumed that Toyota will offer better deal for the existing customer but certainly disappointed. I am selling off my Camry in Craigslist and getting Tesla model Y. In summary, I bet, Toyota will loose battle with Tesla on every single aspect (price, function, aeasthetic....). Incompetence Toyota

2020 5,000 check up. Rotate tires basically make sure all is going good. Appointment for 9:00AM. Exited at 12:30 approx. I was warned of the delay. The problem was blamed on the pandemic. 2.5 hours. I did bring a book to read time not a complete waste. Good job on the car.

The service staff here is wonderful theyre thoughtful and always seem to be looking to help someone anyway they can. I docked one star because when I came in to purchase a car they didnt take me seriously. I had to repeat myself a number of times that I was ready to make the purchase. I am younger and I understand their hesitating but it just wasnt the way Id expect professionals to conduct business. Other than that my experience at this toyota dealership has been spectacular.
8/2020-They didnt follow strict Costco auto program procedures but 5 hours later I walked away fairly happily with my new car. Showroom was clean and everyone followed Covid safety protocols.
I purchased Toyota CR-H at Capitol Toyota last May 2020 and they don’t have the available color on the top exterior so I paid extra to paint the top of color I want .I called them to follow up they never answer, and they never call me on when to service paint it. I come to a point realizing they don’t care anymore after you signed the purchased contract. And it reminds me that whenever I pay my monthly payment that includes the color paint that I wanted . It’s kinda frustrating that they don’t take care what they promise the fact that’s it’s not even free. I hope Toyota Capitol will be consistent on their good customer service .

When I inquired as to how long the service might take, the operator, (not using her name here but I have it) launched into a I cant tell you and there is no way of knowing response rather than trying to actually help me or provide any type of customer service.The reason that I was asking is because last Friday I took my car to Capitol Toyota and they told me that it would take at least 6 hours for them to perform an oil change. I will never go back to Capitol Toyota. I am bringing my business to Stevens Creek Toyota where they actually care about repeat business and customer service.

Bought a car from Jimmy Lee yesterday. Jimmy showed me all the numbers: dealers invoice, discounts, etc. He didnt try to sell me anything beyond what I wanted. In three words: honest, efficient and accommodating. He drove me half a mile to a car lot carrying multiple keys so I could pick the car with the least mileage to buy.
My brother bought New Corolla 2020 here. His car now has Blind Spot unavailable but the service declined fixing it. They said his car has accident, that is the minor crash on paint on bumper. How funny, the crash just minor, really hard to see it, because his car was hit by shopping cart by accident by himself but very light. He is old man. Now the Toyota service declined because the minor crash on paint by shopping cart. Dont buy or service here. They try to decline all. Frustrated

Not only did he calm my fears, but he made sure the process was virtually painless from start to finish.I know...and I mean I KNOW... what a hassle it is to but a car. I made an appointment to test drive a Prius today. I informed them it was my first time driving a Prius, so I needed some time to evaluate the car, and that I wasnt ready to make a purchase today.I tested local and freeway for about 10 minutes, and suggested that I test hill-driving and parking, but the salesperson insisted we head back to the dealership so he could help customers looking to buy today. He told me to come back during the weekday when they were less busy to continue test driving.I will not be coming back for another test drive.

HUGE onsite 4 story inventory storage above the showroom. Beautiful, clean spread-out, spacious showroom with open high ceilings - best layout for indoor shopping during COVID times. By far the largest stock on hand to choose from with best chance youll find the model, color, trim and options list youre looking for.- Was fortunate enough to get a sales rep (Le - an online internet sales Pro) who understood that she gets quicker, more satisfied sales by leading with her best possible price ($$$$s less than CostCo, Consumer Reports, or Credit Union fleet deals). I had inquired online (I had used Consumer Reports online configuration tool to build the car I wanted) and she quickly txtd me back with a firm quote secured against stock #/VIN (very professional in writing complete with detailed list of all options and features, waiting in my e-mail in-box) with everything in place to sign papers and hand-over car and keys. She was completely ready to answer any questions and close the deal but not sales man pushy - just very efficient. We set an appointment for stopping-by the next day in the afternoon, but the next morning my schedule changed so I had to reschedule for later in the week.- Later in the day our plans changed yet AGAIN and we were actually able to visit Capital Toyota a bit after when originally planned. Although when we dropped-by this was an unannounced sudden surprise change of plans Le took it in stride and was very cordial, very polite, professional and friendly. She adapted quickly and set a friendly relaxed confident tone ready to efficiently move forward (others might have taken issue with our previously having rescheduled but then just dropping-in).- Le directly took us up the elevator to see the car we had chosen - the car was fully prepd. She knew all its features and capabilities and was able to explain and demo everything clearly, understandably and professionally.- Compared to Gilroy Toyota, who had done just OK, Capital Toyota are clearly the Pros with the best no nonsense price. Save yourself the time and frustration of car shopping by shopping at Capital Toyota first. Hands-down where to go to buy a quality Toyota.

I agreed to the high price for repair, but they did not replace screws after completing work. Check engine light came on after 3 month and they wanted additional $ and did not offer to put the missing screws on. Not recommended, designed to cheat service customers.
I was not looking to buy a toyota at all but my dad insisted I would just have a look around. He had bought 2 cars in the past at this location and he was very happy with their service. So i gave it try, Julio helped us from the beginning with the understanding that I was probably not going to buy a car that day. I took a look at the corolla hatchbacks and fell in love with a 2021 special edition they had in the showroom. Went home and decided to go buy it the next day. Julio was very helpful and so was his supervisor (forgot his name) and the finance person (forgot his name too sorry!!). None the less, I’m very happy with my purchase and with the service.
I wanted to pay cash on what Kelly blue book asked for and a hundred more which I thought was more than fair .,but Gearge said no and tagged on 2000.00 plus...after 3 1/2 hours I was told to bring in the asking price on the next biz day and hopefully the car would b there....Gearge really should have taken the offer and ran with with. Clearly in it for how they can dangle the car in front of u...and they even had someone come and show it to others to make u think u had to get the money some way not possible to u. Wow

Worse customers services! I came 2 times and encountered with different sale rep. One didnt provide much information on the car that I want and gave incomplete information and didnt know much about financing, but too lazy to go and find out from the manager. The other one is too lazy to give me test drive and told me to test drive in the park lot. He wont let me test drive on freeway, so weird! After I tested drive in the park lot, I gave back the key and he just left. Didnt even ask how I like it etc. I guessed he didnt want my business so I just left. I was going to get the car, but bad service isnt working for me. I dont care how good the car is. Went to Hyundai and got myself a beautiful 2020 Sonata car and an amazing service. #nevergobackToyota.

Perez was very professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and he was able to get me a good price on my 2019 Toyota Camry. Perez listened to what I wanted and what I could afford. He diligently responded to all of my questions and concerns. I have a Toyota Mirai that has scheduled routine service every 6 months. I knew only few distributors would be servicing my car and I normally take my car to Sunnyvale or Steven Creek Toyota. Since Capitol Toyota was closer to me, I checked online and asked their online service chat rep if they can service my car, they confirmed they do. I was doubtful so I called their service department and they double confirm that they would service Mirai. I clearly told them that I know there are few dealership licensed to service Mirai and if she is sure that they can do that. She confirmed and set an appointment for me. I drive the car there today, based in the appointment, and got shock by them that they dont device Mirai!!!! It was already difficult for me with to kids to arrange a time during this pandemic to go there and hearing they cannot do that. So disappointed from them! I, the customer, shouldnt be the one to get into trouble because they didnt train their staff!

7/2/2020 : Service dept.At 7 am, there were more than 30-40 cars. At 9 am, barely a couple of cars. Why do you make people wait from 7 to 8 am just to drop off their cars? Why not make time slots, so that you dont waste our time? Please fix this. Its really simple.

My audio system was broken. I dropped off the car for inspection but there was no parts available. I was told they will order the parts and notify me when it is available. However, I waited for about a week. I did not get any call. Finally, I called today. I was told the parts were there. I was told the person who took my case did not work. Does that mean if your worker has days off, the customers have to wait? This is totally a bad unaccesptable customer service. I paid $929 for this repair and had to follow up myself. You failed the promised that you will make the call.
