Arturo and César (sp?) did an amazing job in helping us move our items to storage. There was never a moment of doubt in their ability or services provided. They worked tirelessly for three hours without a single break. Shannon really sent their A team to us and were extremely grateful.

Shannon Moving (Luis and crew) did a 2 bedroom move for us from Berkeley to Oakland. They did an excellent job. Worked quickly, carefully, professionally. Communicated well and were very careful not to damage the furniture or the wall. The quote from this team was a bit higher than others, but I truly believe we saved money in terms of speed of work and generally care in the move.

I normally am not ever driven enough to write a review, much less for a moving and storage company, but I had such a good experience with Shannon I just had to.As everyone knows, moving is one of the most annoying and painful experiences, and usually that is compounded by a poor moving company. Fortunately I found Shannon Moving & Storage and I cant believe how painless they made my move.I used them first a year ago as part of Trove, and they came and picked up and packaged all my apartment furniture and possessions. They took incredible care of everything, and my apartment building manager even asked me which moving company I used because he was so impressed with their staff and wanted to recommend them to any future tenants who were moving.I had my stuff in storage for about a year while I was on a work assignment, and then landed out of state for a new job. I was hoping to use Shannon for that move but unfortunately it was outside of their service area, but they referred me to another moving company who I went with solely because I figured if Shannon recommended them then I could trust them. Well, it worked out, and that move was as painless as a cross-country move can be. Not only did all of my furniture and boxes arrive (even a day early than projected!), but Shannon had done such a good job of packaging everything when I first moved the stuff to storage that nothing...not a single thing...broke.After the move I was accidentally charged for another month of storage, and when I called the Shannon office, they profusely apologized for the oversight and took less than two minutes to correct the error and issue me a full refund. Why isnt every companys customer service this easy to work with?!And then I saw on the website that their trucks are dedicated to famous women of history and Irish mythology with stories behind each – cherry on top.I will admit I feel weird that I feel so strongly about a moving and storage company, but theyve earned it! Im just sad Shannon doesnt operate in my new city! :)

These folks are awesome! My storage was transferred over from Trove, when they went out of business and I was given a very fair, reduced rate. I went into the office and metbthe team in person and they were super friendly and helpful. I have more stuff I need to store and will 100% be keeping my business with them!

This company is terrific! And reasonably priced too. They moved me out of a two bedroom to another two bedroom condominum in about 8 hours. It was a tough move, with stairs, small elevators, and a lot of very big pieces of furniture. They movers showed up promptly, and had all the necessary equipment with them to do the move right. Every piece of furniture was wrapped with care in both blankets and then plastic. The three men that arrive were nice, polite, and worked their hearts out. I had estimated the move to be about $2500, and they came in far below that. It was one of those experiences where you get more value than you were anticipated. Not one piece of furniture was scratched or damaged. The only casualty was one glass......pretty good. I cant recommend them enough.

The lads at Shannon delivered top notch service and professionalism during our move last Saturday. My partner and I needed to move our stuff out of storage and into our newly renovated house in the Sunset district. Our biggest concern was for the brand new hardwood flooring which we had installed throughout.Mo, Carlos and Kevin arrived on time at our storage and loaded the 10 x 30 unit in what I consider record time... carefully protecting our furniture and belongings with blankets. When we arrived at the house, they immediately noticed the condition of our floors and put down blankets and runners to protect the hardwood. They even recommended and even installed pads on the legs and bottoms of the furniture to prevent scratches from sliding.Overall we could not have had a better experience. Shannon Moving really took the stress out of moving... I would highly recommend you hire them!

Piss off your new neighbors when these guys disable both of the elevators to move your stuff, leaving all residents that cannot use the stairs stuck until building maintenance arrivesEdited for owner’s response: I am talking about the movers turning both elevators to “service” mode. The norm is to utilize one elevator in this capacity, but they turned both elevators to this mode so that only they could use both of the elevators.

Great place for cheap storage as long as you dont need frequent easy access. You have to schedule an appointment to have your storage crate dropped for access. Otherwise half the price of regular storage and no frequent increases!

My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Shannon. The movers were very professional and friendly--the lead even entertained us with jokes! They did a great job of moving some very difficult pieces of furniture out of our old house and into our new house with next to no scratches on the walls and floors. I used Rogue twice. When I first moved within SF, I had no complaints, they were super efficient, the movers are always professional and nice, their estimates are spot on, and I would have given them a 5-star review, but I never got around writing one.So I thought I would give them my business again when I moved out of SF. There are so many competitors, but the balance tipped towards Rogue given my positive experience and a yelp deal.The second move started out great. The movers helped me pack some last minute items with their extra boxes, including wardrobe boxes, and packing materials. They were quick, efficient, and super friendly.I knocked off a star the second time around for three reasons. (1) There were some large furniture items that I felt should have been aptly wrapped with blankets and plastic wrap without me asking for it. (2) Some items did go into the truck without the additional protection. I wish I had more courage and bandwidth on move-in day to request that the furniture be moved off, wrapped, and moved back on the truck. But I was really too tired to muster up the strength to complain. Later the workers bumped the furniture against the walls while moving into the new place, and there are chipped corners and ceiling paint. If the furniture had been appropriately covered, I wonder if the chips and scratches would have been avoided. (3) And I could tell that the guys were getting very tired by the last hour of the move that they started to drop boxes rather than resisting gravity and gradually placing them down.However even given my small complaints, I still recommend Rogue to all my friends. One of my friends recently came back with a superb experience with Rogue. The movers came under the original estimate, and my friend felt she saved on top of the Yelp deal. When a super picky friend is happy with her experience, I feel like my referral was bonafide thanks to Rogues reliability and customer service.

Have used these guys multiple times to move now between apartments across the bay. Each time theyve been very prompt, professional, quick, and most important treated our stuff with the utmost care.

Booking with the agent was a very pleasant and easy experience. I booked about two weeks out, which is risky because movers book up fast. The movers showed up just a little late. They were gracious in the face of unexpected vehicles being parked in the space I had reserved for them. They worked quickly and efficiently, but they were too quick when trying to handle too much load at one time. In one instance they loaded a cart too high with an unbalanced load and it fell over and broke my property. They took some charge off my bill to compensate, which was acceptable. They took apart and reassembled our beds with no damage, and they moved several pieces of antique wood furniture with just a few scuffs. Overall I am satisfied with their service and would recommend them - knowing that there are many other movers out there who probably have terrible service. If you hire these guys, ask them to slow down a little to be more careful with customers property and paying attention to load balance when moving carts.
