I Love this place!! Adam Le does amazing work on all kinds of motorcycles, and hes an even more amazing person. Ive been bringing my Harleys here for the past 5 years. He charges fair rates for repairs and upgrades. I highly recommend bringing your motorcycle here for any needs you may have. Mr. Le is super knowledgeable and always very kind. He has Excellent Customer Service. This is the BEST Motorcycle Shop in San Francisco!! No
Got my chain and sprockets replaced. I also got a standard tune-up. My motorcycle feels alive again! The owner that goes by Adam is the man. A great, friendly but no BS, fair-priced spot in SF to get some repairs on your motorcycle.
Great guys, and very helpful with getting me back on the road.
So, I had a breakdown around noon on the weekend near Point Reyes. I called around and nobody was open except City Cycle Werkes. I was able to get my bike over to these gentleman and not only did they have my part I was in need of, they fix it on the spot. And at a super great rate. I am extremely grateful for there service and they even told us where some good food was in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend them and will use their service again if I run into any troubles with my bike again. Thank you so much. Made a messed up weekend turn into a great one.
Very capable family business. My experience was positive.Polite and respectful.Rightful prices. The Google search algorithm must have been faulty the last few months.Im happy I found them this time around.I will be back.
This is an amazing family owned business. Fast, friendly and affordable. Adam and Steven took excellent care of me!
Adam is the absolute BEST motorcycle & scooter mechanic in San Francisco. Hands down. Adam has taken care of my vintage 1986 Honda Elite 250 scooter for several years now. He just put in some shocks to replace the originals & my scooter is now navigating San Franciscos pot-hole ridden streets BEAUTIFULLY &, more importantly SAFELY. Thank you, Adam, for your integrity, honesty & taking care of my vintage scooter so I can safely drive it for many years to come. My husband and his BMW motorcycle and me with my Honda Elite 250 will ALWAYS come to you for our motorcycle & scooter service needs.Warm Regards,Em Be
City cycle is your no nonsense, fair friend located on a gritty alley in the t’loin. adam (like joe, the previous owner) is a straight shooter, he will get the job done well, in a timely manner, and not take too much of your money. have taken 3 bikes to this shop (starting 20+yrs ago) and have always been satisfied w/the work. mr. adam is a genuinely good soul, a keen observer with 40 yrs experience and these qualities serve you well as a customer.greg ‘05 bmw r12gs
Oil changed super fast. Great service. Will always come here.
Took my bike in a while back when it was only firing on 2 cylinders so wanted to see what was wrong with it. He told me my carburetors were shot and that I needed new ones so he showed me what I needed to do to rebuild them. So he charged me $300 to tell me this, then I bought another set of carbs for $700, and did everything he told me to do. Well the bike still wasn’t running right. Spent weeks and couldn’t figure it out. Turns out the plug wires were crossed and just needed to be swapped around. Bike ran great after that. You’d think a motorcycle mechanic would’ve been able to tell me this. Oh also it’s in the absolute sketchiest neighborhood in San Fran. Wouldn’t recommend.
Adam is super trustworthy, skilled and reliable.
Adam fixed my busted Honda Ruckus within a week (that includes wait time for parts). Super friendly guy, and he went above and beyond getting my bike back in safe and shiny shape. His estimate was spot on, as well. Highly recommend this place!
Ive been bringing my motorcycles to Adam at Cycle City Cycle Works for 15 years. Hes an amazing mechanic does impeccable work. I highly recommend if you looking for a mechanic you can go no further than to Adam at City Cycle Works hes the best.
Adam was an excellent mechanic, incredibly friendly, exceptionally reasonably priced . I will never go to that place next to the North Face outlet on Gilman in Berkeley ever again. My son called City Cycle Werks on a Sunday and by chance Adam answered and said bring your bike by now, he left back to the Air Force the following morning and told Alan no hurry my dad will get it.. I went to pick it up and decided this is the place for our bikes, he is a straight shooter, very knowledgeable, not a over charger. The weather was bad and high winds When he called and i asked can I wait a few days and is there a charge like the place on Gilman in Berkeley next to the North Face Outlet and he said no charge pick up when you like M-F normal business hours..., No Price Gouging...
If you have a bike in San Francisco that needs repair then you must go see Adam hes one of the most knowledgeable friendly best guys youll ever find he doesnt impeccable job has been doing it for more years than you can count you can trust him hes well priced theres no one else that I would take my bike to I highly recommend him and not to mention over the years becomes a good friend!
Been taking my bike here for years and Adam is the best, does great work and is a great guy.
Adam (owner/mechanic) is honest and a very competent mechanic. (over 30 years experience in the field). He ordered and installed 2 new tires for my motorcycle at a very fair and reasonable price.I would recommend his business to my friends and family.
I had my dog tags made there. She was fast and professional.
Solid work, to the point, no frills, non pretentious moto shop. Adam is one of the best.
Called to ask for a tire tube replacement. Guy on the phone was pretty rude and said I dont work on Royal Enfields. A) its a standard spoked wheel tire, replacing the tube is pretty standard. Dont know how the make matters. B) It says on the description here all make and models C) The tone was pretty rude for a service business.
I own a 78 Kawasaki Z1-R near mint...i wouldnt trust it with anybody else after just one time going to City Cycle. i think Adam really knows what hes doing. anybody that needs help keeping a great motorcycle great should try him first. thanks adam, i will be back for regular maintenance.
Trustworthy and great service!
Still the best motorcycle shop in san francisco. Honest. Friendly. Economical. What more do you need?! I switched from Mr. Scooter after a bad diagnosis that cost me $300 and didnt fix the problem. Adam at City Cycle Works is dependable and keeps you informed every step of the way. I never worry about being over-charged or taken advantage of.
Ive been taking my bike to Adam at City Cycle Werkes for about 3 years now. Hes always done great work on my bike and has always been fair.
All around excellent service. He let me watch an entire repair and we conversed as he fixed my bike. 10/10 Ive already gone back again.
Probably, the best and most honest mechanic in the city. This is the best shop to bring your bike too.
City Cycle Werkes is a great motorcycle shop. Adam, the owner, is an honest mechanic who really takes pride in his work. He does his best to be fair about his pricing. If you have any questions, he is always helpful and caring to make sure you understand what hes charging you for. I found him on Yelp and continue to use him for all of my needs. I highly recommend him as a mechanic!
Adam the owner is the man and has been the most honest and reliable motorcycle mechanic for me here in SF. I appreciate the personalized attention he gives to his customers that isnt robotic like other shops in the city. This place is great for tires also. Ive been saved a few times when catching a flat on a bike which if its happened to you you know its the pits. Always has the tires I prefer on hand which keeps me coming back when I need to.
Best prices I’ve found, quick and knowledgeable service - bike is usually ready before he says it will be, and locally owned/operated.
This is genuine repair shop. Not a doctors officeNot a place with a stupid happy receptionThey charge for the work and not for having people smiling at the entrance.Excellent and fast work with honest charges!Been there twice and this is where I will keep going
The only place I will go. Honest and always willing to help.
Adam runs a no BS repair shop and totally works with you around your budget to get things done. Hes a rare find in transparency and ability to work with your budget to get as much done with what you can afford.Hes a good guy
I brought my scooter there...and they fixed it...no problems since...nuff said
Adam is a very nice guy that was personable, friendly and accommodating. I got a flat tire at around 7pm and he was still open! He had it ready for me early in the morning before work. Quick turn around time and overall awesome guy and service. Ill definitely be coming back.
Guy fixed my brakes and left mirror in less than two hours. No nonsense, fast, low cost service. Ill definitely be going back.
10/10 would do business again.Edit a few years later: Ive been here three times now. The proprietor is a straight shooter, personable, and seems honest. Hes done electrical for me on an 80s Rebel, changed tires on a modern Harley, and at least before Covid he was open on Sundays. Ill never go anywhere else in the city for motorcycle work.
Trust the reviews, he is absolutely great.
Adam is undoubtedly the best motorscooter/motorcycle mechanic in all of San Francisco.
Love Adam, he always takes great care of my bikes. Do recommend!
Adam is the best - this place is the best!
I have taken my Harley Davidson Iron 883 to City Cycle Werks twice. I trust nobody but Adam to work on my bike. He is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I highly recommend City Cycle Werks to any and all riders.
Adam is great. He has a key eye and can work with your budget.
Very rude and he tried to overcharge me. For the last two years Ive been going here to get my tire changed and every time I walk in the man is doing nothing but sitting behind his desk playing with his phone. Same today I went there just to ask him to help me flip the last bites on my rim it literally would have taken two seconds. The guy tells me his rent is 8 grand so he has to charge me 50 bucks mind you it only costs 30 to change tire and tube. The place is a block and a half away from my house and I rather go somewhere else.
Excellent. I had to get a tire replaced on short notice (flat tire), and Adam was flexible and polite getting me sorted out. Prices are reasonable, and the experience was hassle-free.
I brought my bike here to check out the battery and charging system. He got me in the same day. Couldnt find an issue with the system (I think maybe Im just not doing enough long rides these days and battery is not charging enough) and didnt charge me the minimum for troubleshooting it, and explained to me how motorcycle charging systems worked despite being busy. He seems like a solid mechanic.
Very knowledgeable courteous kind helpful and a good price!
Great customer service! Extremely careful with my scooter.
This place is a rip off l just put on a new 520 chain on my bike 90 days ago and went there so they could put on the rear chain sprocket, and this dude told me that he wont do it. (Quote!) You need a new chain... People if you go there be ready to buy things, or pay for things you dont need for your bike. This dude is going to try and rip you off ( F.Y.I ) your chain is made out of harden steel and the sprocket is made of harden aluminum. lt would take you riding your bike 14 months or maybe more with a bad sprocket (note) l said WITH A BAD SPROCKET to where out your chain thats how it was engineered for the wear on the sprocket and not the chain.
Best place to take your bike. Great service, fair prices.
Adam is the best. Excellent services, quick, reliable, great person.
Adam is the best! Super knowledgeable, honest and fair.
Adam is awesome. Has repaired both my Honda and my Ducati with no issues
I am owner of 1999 Triumph Tiger 885i. And Im not a native speaker.Foreigner.When I found my motorcycles problem and went to Cycle Werks, I was freacking out. Because of his ququotation. Im not gonna mention it but I thought that it was really expensive. Beside of the price, his attitude was really good.3days later, I got the bike and surprised again b/c of the price. It went down than I expected and worried. I need my bike on weekday and I was little bit push him to finish it. However, he always answer on the phone nicely and even he had dinner far away from S.f, he showed me what heve done with my bike and explain what was the problem.I want to say to somebody who wants their bike fixed. In S.F, the prices are always high, however this bike repair shop is worth it. Dont be angry or irritate by careless repair shop with paying your valuable money.
Great service at reasonable prices! You get more than you expect for what you pay.
I had to get my tire replaced on my scooter and Adam really helped me out on price, as Im a student on a budget. He had it ready the next day and he didnt hit me up with any hidden costs or any other BS you might run into at other shops.
Labor is not cheap, but this is San Francisco. Motorbike mechanics are getting to be hard to find.
Adam is the man!!!! I had used BIG corporation type shops then found Adam. I will never take my beloved bike anywhere else. Rita from SF
Adam is a stupid guy. I called him to get my motorcycle service and he hang up the call saying see the owner’s manual book.
Adams the best. Simple as that.
Good, honest work, honest rates and delivery as promised.
Always has parts on hand and in stock!
Very rude and expensive service
Expert Repair Skills
A bit unprofessional
