This was the most uncomfortable shopping experience I have ever had. The sales person barely acknowledged me and just stared at me while I tried to figure out how to find the appropriate size as they appear to only have one size of each item. I would not recommend this experience for any woman looking to buy intimate apparel

My husband just bought me a great red outfit at this store. The ladies manning the store were great. We were worried that we would be judged since there is a significant age difference between my husband and me, but we were pleasently surprised with the ladies service.

I had a really unpleasant experience here. I came here because of all the good reviews but now I see most of those were 5 and 7 years ago. The saleswoman made me feel like I didn’t belong there, commented on the prices to make sure I could afford it (this could be done tactfully.. it was not). Seemed reluctant for me try things on. Left me in the dressing room indefinitely while helping another customer and didn’t ask if I needed sizes. Then, while that other customer who was a man was still in that tiny store, she opened the curtain without much care to finally see what I needed while I was standing there in lingerie. Finally, when I was getting dressed into my own clothes again she opened the curtain to the dressing room while I was literally standing there getting dressed to collect the merchandise I tried on. While I was still getting dressed. Unpleasant French grandma vibe is not supportive and helpful. Never coming back. Go just about anywhere else if you’re interested in spending $200 on a bra.

Lucie, the owner, has been extremely helpful in assisting in my selections and fit for bras, panties, ensembles, Merry Widows, peignoirs, and robes. She carries lines by so many designers that have intriguing looks and color combinations that your imagination wont stop with only 50 shades of whatever color you desire. My husband introduced me to Lucie and her fabulous store and we are both so grateful for his discovery. She has an ease about her that is not a discomfort to men and she has the candor to tell a woman what does and doesnt work on a particular body shape or tone. I have never felt that a sale was trying to be made, but rather an effort was being made to fulfill a desire. This isnt Playtex, Maidenform, or Victorias Secret This is personal. This is artistic. This isnt overt, its magnetism. The feeling of wearing that which only one other person can see and enjoy and in which we share a mutual delight is special and intimate. I was in Aricie just a few days ago and I want thank Lucie for helping me to find something to charm and delight my day. There is something for every occasion; a silk nightshirt for a special evening and of course French lingerie and stay up stockings for every day wear. As always the items are sexy and elegant, luxurious, good quality and affordable. Lucie and I discussed the various designs and styles of lingerie and she was very patient as I tried on several, then at my request advised as to which fit and very importantly, looks the best. The website is very helpful with respect to assisting one to decide on the correct size - but Lucies experience takes that one step further to guarantee the best fit. My favorite items are still Lise Charmel lingerie, and the Christines silk night shirt.

Fabulous selection of top tier lingerie from France, Italy, the apparently up-and-coming but dazzling Romanian lines as well as premium domestic labels. The styles they carry range from wedding to classic staples to the more eye popping vixenish styles fit for cutting edge celebutants (which is what brings me there almost monthly). Ive visited the more recognized stores in SF just to compare them but still come back to Aricie anytime I need to get the latest and greatest.As for the young lady who was disappointed in Aricie, she seems to have the same opinion of every high-end lingerie store in SF except one newer one thats not doing so well. When a store hits home runs for the last 20 years and then suddenly has nothing decent, I tend to side with the 99% and my own experience.Aricie has always been open during their hours and is the standard barer of couture level lingerie in SF for a reason. A keen eye for the hottest styles and a personal touch by a lady whos made this her life for the last 20+ years. I have a French place I visit too occasionally, but Aricie is always my first stop (and usually the only one I need).

This store has so many gorgeous items and yet it does not look jammed at all. They made very judicious use of every inch of the store, which is amazing because I didnt expect to see so many nice things in one place. Classless customer service. Cheesy pin decor for pricey lingerie. Small collection with display not running in the size you need. Go to agent provocateur or la perla if you want to spend your lingerie money wisely.
