I bought 2 light fixtures here years ago. Both with Elements Swarovski crystals. I ❤ my chandeliers. My sales lady was helpful & patient as it took me months to make my decision, & my electrician, the sales lady, & I had many discussions about the vaulted ceiling in my dining room & how to hang the new chandelier.

Many unique & Beautiful lighting options for designers remodel or refresh a fixture and patio, everything (mostly) is priced so you can wander through then ask at desk for staff assist purchase & questions. Loved it just A bit pricey for me

I like this store because they have a lot of modern styles on display so that you can see it-- not just some page in a catalog or on line photo. Go have a look at their showroom, you can avoid costly mistakes if you can get understand what the light fixture looks like and how big it really is.

Long time favorite. This is a great store in the heart of the city, mostly modern lights and fixtures, and an especially good selection of light bulbs. Free parking for customers across the street.

I wish there was a zero star. Do NOT go to this store. I would highly recommend finding another light store. I have been into City Lights multiple times to ask questions about Lumens and Kelvin to gain a better understanding of the new LED lights. Every time I go into the store they are complete snobs, do not ever say hi, act like I do not exist and I am bothering their busy day. The last two times I went in I was treated like an absolute idiot when I was trying to get my head around the different Temperatures of LED (2700 kelvin->6500 kelvin). The sales rep continued to tell me I just didn’t understand (hence the reason I was there) and even threw a fit when I asked for a piece of paper to write down some notes. He then slammed the paper and pen on the counter in front of me. Now I am a scientist (PhD in Genetics) so I believe I am relatively smart (I don’t know everything though) but this “Light Salesman” wanted to make me feel inferior to him and spoke to me in a condescending tone and made weird faces and rolled his eyes every time I asked a question. This was the second time I have dealt with an exceptionally rude sales person in this store and I would recommend going somewhere else for all you lighting needs and certainly all your questions. Do not bother these people as they do not want to help and do not have time for you.UPDATE: A manager reached out to me to apologize.

Fabulous, expanded lighting showroom, no frills, good prices. Nice selection ranging from Hubberton Forge to Stark. Wholesale and retail. Some items you can take on the spot and others can be delivered. Weekends are busy. Nice peeps.

Smaller store than I had hoped so not as much on display as I was looking for. Service was not quite up to my expectations either. They carry some more expensive and high end brands if you are looking for those. The salesman at the end did tell me he could get me discounts which made the prices more reasonable. But we ended up choosing different lights at another store.

We have actually never hired Ray yet...but even so he helped us 2x!!! And on holidays...he solved our problems by phone both times and refused to take a dime for it or even a gift...he is a really nice guy and truly want to help his customers...when we have ANY electrical work in the future he will ALWAYS be my first call...hands down!

They know their stuff and back it up with excellent customer service.

Lousy customer service. I phoned a few days ago and asked for help from Xavier. He was helpful on the phone and said he would follow up via email. 48hrs passed without contact so I dropped by in person. He was flagrantly uninterested in helping solve my problem and made it seem like he simply didn’t care. How sad.

Listen, I get that Amazon is a huge competitor - however when I can buy 3 bulbs at the cost of one of yours....thats an issue. Luckily I live close enough that I just had to walk here so the amount of time I lost was minimal- shrug - I cant buy local if you are just tripling the cost of everything :(

The bulb shop has every odd bulb Ive ever asked about. Just use the second entrance 1/2 block down Folsom, walk in and show them the bulb youre trying to replace and theyll dig up a replacement.

Every time Ive shopped here over the past few years, it takes at least 20 minutes before I can speak with a sales representative, and when I do, they are dismissive and uninterested. I will be taking my business elsewhere because they clearly do not need it.
