Good luck getting them to call you back. I wouldn’t even waste your time. They’ll make you wait 4 hours outside & can’t tell you if what you want is even in stock.Not the type of experience a high end retailer should be providing.They can’t even really use Covid as an excuse anymore, we had 0 cases yesterday, and every other retailer is open.
Terrible and disappointed experience which I never and ever received before. I started purchasing on July. Michael.K assisted me. I started to build my profile. After I spend tens of thousands dollars, almost 40 thousands. He promised me would give a bag before holiday last year. Now it is 2021!!! I understood it is hard but I gave all my patience, no push and wait. Now I am going to leave San Francisco and wont come back any more. I told Michael 3 weeks ahead. I have to leave and will not be able to come back. He did not do anything about it ! I felt to be toyed with. During almost a year, He rarely respond to my message. until I made an appoint to store. I am going to send a complain email to the company even though it may not work. But it hurts my feeling. worst shopping experience ever!!!!!
1/31/20: While some of their staff were helpful and smiled, unfortunately the gal that reluctantly helped me was arrogant and dismissive. Who did she think she was, Mrs. Hermes? The poor thing works for minimum wage & commission. Having a poor attitude makes for no sales. I would not buy an item from her. I would tell the manager I want a helpful person so that person would EARN the commission from my sale. Who would give this lady $ when treated like that? She was confused at who is a millionaire & her place in this store. Their mens selection was quite limited too. 1 other thing: I told the sales gal that I tried to go to 2 Hermes stores in November in Paris, but each time they were closed. She snorted back that they get 11 or 12? store holiday days off a year & that their store is often closed. She just stared at me. What a pathetic disgraceful attitude. She should have apologized to me for my inconvenience in Paris & said she hoped I would find something I like in their store! She was a sad sack. Their loss was my gain as I bought items in Paris at Louis Vuitton & literally saved over $2,200 over buying the same items in the US. & now Louis Vuitton has my ongoing interest. I assume Hermes could care less, but this review is for shoppers! Show Hermes who has the power of your purse or wallet. You do, just like I do. 2/21/20: I visited the Hermes mens store in Rome. Large but the mens offerings are limited. They are also not fashion forward. I also visited the duty free Hermes shop in Munichs airport. It had 1 new tan leather backpack like bag that was ok, but it did not look amazing. It had the brand name in big letters on it. I went back to this San Francisco location after my trip to Rome & stopover in Germany. This time I had a patient lovely sales lady. She did not put on airs. 5/19/21: My sales person was helpful & informative. He said hed let me know if & when they receive things I would want to buy. Most of their mens offerings were not my style or taste.

I dont normally leave reviews, but I just wanted to say how wonderful it has been visiting this store a few times and working with Lek—she is an absolute dream! She is so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the brand, so she makes shopping a true joy. Shell also suggest pieces she thinks youll like based on what she learns about your preferences, but doesnt pressure you into buying anything. If youre able to get an appointment (required during COVID) I definitely recommend asking for Lek!
I dont think they care at all about what people with negative reviews think. I called several times, no answer. I left a voice mail, Noone calls back. Cannot make an appointment.
I bought an item at Hermès Crystal store in Las Vegas and I had a bad experience of their customer service except Steve. However, when I came to this San Francisco store, Veronica changed the whole bad image of Hermès in me. She was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products. She gave me her ideas and suggestions to make sure that it fitted my needs. Veronica is very patient and make you feel very comfortable. I definitely recommend asking for Veronica if you go to SF location. She’s a wonderful SA.
Genuinely some of the worst customer service I have experienced. I ordered a Clic H bracelet as a gift for someone but the bracelet did not fit as expected so I needed to exchange it. I called around as the stock was low in the US and most stores promised to call back but never did. This review extends past this store. It applies to the terrible service experienced at Beverly Hills, Ala Moana, and this store. I tried reaching out to this particular store on 5 different occasions, leaving three messages to set an appointment and never got a response back. Customers should not be treated this way. Never have I had such a bad experience purchasing a luxury item.
Hermes needs a lesson on customer service. Shopping is by appointment only. Palo Alto doesnt answer the phone. San Franciscos number is permanently busy. I ended up calling the 800 number so they could contact the store via email. Still no response days later. Moving on.
It’s nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone at the store. Francisco told me that I could just call ahead and leave a message to pick up an item; but neglected to tell me they close for an hour at noon. So I feel foolish for going out of my way to pick up an item between meetings.
The new (2020) location is bright and airy. Typical for Hermes the mens RTW selection is limited but they are happy to bring items in from other stores, and now theres a small Home section upstairs. Working with Soizic is always a breeze because she follows up!

Went to the store yesterday. They have a posting to call for an appointment...fair enough, but a staff member came to the door, with the appointment list in hand, and told us to CALL for an appointment!Poor way to treat customers--also a missed opportunity to make a (potentially large) sale...
I went downtown specifically to shop at Hermes. When I got there, I was told I needed an APPOINTMENT to enter the store. How could I have known that ahead of time? Very disappointed.

Went to visit, since we had a 24 hour layover nothing but great service from SA Dora she was helpful and took time listening to my wifes choices and gave insight and suggestions that helped us choose .store was in transition to moving to new location but service from Dora was exceptional, very patient and made you feel comfortable and in the end she surprised us with a special opportunity we could not pass on and this on our 10 wedding anniversary vacation we cant wait to see her again at the new location when we visit San Francisco again .
Whatever horrible woman was working Wednesday December 2nd at 5:40pm just told my wife she couldn’t shop during her private shopping visit because they were closing soon....20 minutes...before closing...after they had her saddle for over a year and failed to get in touch. Complete failure of customer service. Will not support this company again.
Will not honor an appointment time made via telephone. What a waste of time. Will take my money elsewhere.

I came in to swap out cologne I bought from Vegas and it was a relatively quick service. Store layout could so some work. Employees were decent and answered all my questions.

I ordered online, pick up store.Transaction was very fast and friendly.But this store is not interesting for me.
Went here looking for a purse. Came in and no one really minded me. Maybe because I wasnt using a Hermes purse that day or maybe because I wasnt dressed that well, but it seemed like they wont give you the time of day if you dont look like a potential client.Ive been to other Hermes shops (in Paris and the UK) and regardless of what purse I use that day or if I just came from the gym, they will do their best to be friendly and assist me.
They just ignore you let you wait outside without any explaination.
I went to this location for the first time last week. My husband and I went in to pick up an online order. The Sales supervisor immediately assisted us and led us to the back and showed us the handbags. He allowed me to inspect and try on the bags. He then wrapped all of them up for us and gave us tons of perfume samples and his business card. I came back the next day to purchase a full size bottle of one of the fragrances. The supervisor recognized my husband and I and greeted us both. Great experience!!!!
Utterly disrespectful, borderline racist (and Im actually French and a loyal Hermès customer) and not knowledgeable about their own products. A shameful representation of an otherwise very unique luxury brand.I recommend to avoid this location.

Not a nice experience for a lot of money we had for Hermès Apple Watch. Nice design, but after 1 day of use got broken for the first time. Repaired it in the shop. In 1 day after that the strap Hermès got broken again. They sent it to repair to France and returned after 3 months. They didn’t come back to me with the pickup notification, didn’t ask for delivery options and even gave a box of the watch in broken condition. My brother, his fiancée travelling from Russia had to spend with me 1 hour in the shop just waiting for the « associated assistant » to make the return formalities
I was strongly disappointed by the customer service I received when I went in the other day. I walked in expecting to be greeted by a sales associate who would be eager to assist me with completing a purchase, instead I found myself feelings awkward asking for assistance, as if I was interrupting them. I believe this is due in part by my age, but nonetheless, this should not be the way to treat any potential customer. Furthermore, once I found a sales associate that was willing to help me, I found her to be very quick and dry with her responses. Almost as if she had better things to be doing. Instead of completing my purchase in store as I hoped, I bought it on the Hermes website instead. I will not be returning to this Hermes location, extremely disappointed to how I was treated and how I was turned away from completely a purchase.
Really like some of their stuff, but they have the worst attitude toward customers in the area. The prices are 2-3 times what one would expect for the quality. Their products do stand the test of time & I still have several towels that have lasted several years....sadly, most do not look like much anymore. I also have a cap that I rarely wear, that while nice, is no great shakes either.

Wish I could give zero stars. I walked in with my dad and we had planned on buying the large diamond H Huere orange crocodile watch while in the store but we were sooo disappointed in the service. We walked in and started to look around. Typically when you walk into a store, especially luxury stores, they are quick to greet you/ offer help. We were in there for probably 10 minutes without being spoken to but looked at alot. They are so rude at this store. Also a terrible store layout. SO small and crammed, and it smells gross. Sad for such an a mazing brand like Hermes

Went into the SF today to get a bracelet for my wife but they didnt have the color she wanted. I said, Thats okay, Ill order it on line and print a picture of it. May I have a box? Them: No. Wow, is this really the way to treat repeat customers?!
Great merchandise (though expensive), but the service is awful. I took a watch to be fixed in November, and just got it back (July). Note: all they had to do was replace the watchband!In those 7 months, I received zero feedback about what was going on. In fact, I called at least 3 times to ask about the watch. Each time I was told Ill check and definitely get back to you tomorrow, Noone ever called back.
I walked into this stores a few times. I felt like I walked into a no mans land because no one came up to acknowledge me or helped me. I do not want to give any stars for this location but I have to high line at least one star to write this review. This location has the worse customer service.

I was there yesterday, and while my husband was taking care of bill i was checking out scarfs and bracelets. Hermes staff didnt take me as a serious buyer probably because im nine months pregnant caucasian girl who didnt wear any Hermes, hence when i asked if i can use the bathroom they told me to go to Neiman Marcus or use a parking bathroom. Hermes staff of San Francisco, nice way of treating pregnant customer who just spend thousands of dollars in your store!
The “customer service” is horrible!! Like, non-existent. I’ve been to several of the Hermès stores over seas and this is by far the worst. I turned around and walked out. Corporate really needs to train or retrain everyone here.
