- tried a kids scoop of matchacado (matcha + avocado)- one of the best ice cream flavors i’ve had, it was really creamy from the avocado but not too sweet. reminded me of a common avocado dessert from the philippines- had lots of inventive flavors i haven’t seen elsewhere- the place was pretty packed when we went on a saturday evening. i wish they were open longer!- service was great and the owners were super friendly

All their basics are amazing - and they have so many awesome flavors on top of that. There’s usually a line, but it’s so worth it! The milk bomb itself was a bit much for me, but it looks really cool and is a great thing to share.

We LOVED our Ube ice cream sandwiched in an Original glazed donut, 1/2 with Toasted Coconut toppings and 1/2 with Fruity Pebbles topping. Sinfully delicious. Service was amazing - the co-founder Michael was so fun and wonderful.

Finally got the chance of trying this place, the donut could be better. The ice cream flavored cones are better than the donut & the ice cream flavors are pretty good, its a small place so if it gets packed youll have a hard time walking around.

I ordered 3 pints of ice cream for delivery in April and still have not gotten it. Ive emailed them 3 separate times in May, and no answer. I messaged them through google maps in June (just learned this is a thing) and they responded with a sweeping apology about how their personal lives are affected by COVID and theyre behind. They said theyd refund my order and deliver my ice cream on the house next week. Its July, and I HAVE NOT GOTTEN A REFUND NOR ANY ICE CREAM DELIVERED. Terrible customer service, and they basically stole $50 from me.

Yo the people running this shop are legit. Love all the Asian inspired flavors like Durian. I’ll be back to buy a bucket of that to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Very friendly staff and they took the time to explain to customers that were visiting for the first time. We got the Ube donut with Ube ice cream, torched marshmallows and Ube drizzle with some toasted coconut flakes and it was delicious. The ice cream was really good I want a pint of it 🐶

Creative place that is hidden within a business building. No seating inside, basically a max of 8 people inside for the line. Great menu.

Surprisely found this ice cream shop! They have many interesting flavor. I tried Thai tea, and it was great but a little bit sweet. I bought great tea with red velvet cones, love it!

Great tasting (and not all traditional) flavors, good selection of toppings (some you dont usually find), and the people here are chill.Def recommend getting one of the honey toppings. The salty honey is legit!

Milkbomb is great and the staff are always so friendly! A bit on the pricier side (~$7 for an donut ice cream sandwich) but a nice treat for yourself. They sell out of donuts later in the day, so try to go earlier.

Boyfriend brought me here because his friend recommended this place. It was great! Loved the selection and options they had. This is glazed donut w/ ube ice cream and toffee. I wished they had rainbow mochi in stock, but the group in front of us beat us to them!

One of my favorite new ice cream spots in the city! Milkbomb feels like a little hidden gem in a corner of Potrero. The storefront is small but the staff has big personalities and great taste! If you go here definitely get the Milkbomb sandwich. My personal recommendation is to go with a glazed donut, creamy horchata ice cream, cinnamon toast crunch topping, finished with their burnt caramel sauce! 😋

Always good ice cream

I was honestly expecting Milkbomb to be all looks, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the desserts here.I tried the green tea, ginger, and ube ice cream. The ginger ice cream had chunks of candied ginger - so good!I doubled up on the ube ice cream by having it in an ube crumble donut. Though I couldnt taste much ube flavor in the crumble, the donut itself was solid and served warm. The downside was that it melted the ice cream fast.I also tried the fruity cereal waffle cup and loved it maybe more than the ice cream. The waffle cup tasted just like fruity pebbles! It was thicker than most other waffle cones, which I appreciated as well.The toppings were lots of fun. The green tea sauce was my favorite - it was thick like caramel with strong matcha flavor. The rainbow mochi wasnt as good as other mochi Ive had, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.Milkbomb definitely fills a void in this style of ice cream shops. Baked Bear is probably the closest, and I thought Milkbomb was better in every aspect.

Ice cream and donuts are my favorite desserts (not including macarons) and when i saw this place on instagram i thought i had to go check it out. it was a 40 minute bus ride from my house, and i thought the bus ride wasn’t worth it. the store was also pretty hard to find (probably because me and my friend is stupid) i’m not saying it’s bad, it’s just that everything was going not so well for me. it was very cold when i went there, and it wasn’t a really good day to pick and go eat ice cream. when i got there, the store was really small so we had to line up outside. it took me awhile to find what i want. i got green tea ice cream with a glazed donut and captain crunch crumbs as the topping (the one in the back of the picture). it wasn’t really a good choice, the green tea ice cream was bitter, and i think they added too much green tea powder into their ice cream and i’m not a big fan of that. i’m still giving 5 stars because my friend got a lemon ice cream with rainbow mochi and glazed donut. i was pleasantly surprised of that combination. overall it was worth a visit.

Milkbomb was bomb! Despite arriving there a bit late and only having the option of the very last donut, it worked out surprisingly well. We were allowed to choose two different flavors and some toppings to go with it.The staff there were very friendly and chat with us after we had our icecream donut. Their hours vary so its best to message them/check yelp so you can get there early and have the best selection to choose from!

Absolutely amazing, great service, great ice cream. Everything about Milkbomb is phenomenal. I come all the way out to milk bomb from dublin sometimes just for milk bombs ice cream. I personally recommend blue dream and creamy horchata. Another great aspect about this place, they do not go easy on the toppings that you ask for. Also, it has a very cute little wall that you can take a picture next to. 10/10 would recommend.

Since we moved to CA, we rarely eat at the same place twice, but we keep going back to Milkbomb Ice Cream because I cant help but crave their food. The Thai tea and buffalo chicken on French bread is incredible and you cant beat the price. You really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Its quick and the staff is always so nice. I love love love this place.

Always an all time favorite. Prices has gone up, but the ice creamy. Save room because the ice cream is the best. I dont like wait in lines. The wait is really long and the wait is long but once you sit, waitresses com really quick and good is quick.

I really enjoyed this place. Met the owner and he was friendly along with all staff. They let us taste several options. I ended up getting Mexican mango sorbet and wow! It tasted exactly like lime mango. Very refreshing. It was my friends birthday and he was kind enough to give him a gift card. Great gesture. Ill definitely be trying again and visiting their other locations.

I love the variety of flavors/ toppings, not to mention the friendly staff!All the employees are all so lovely and welcoming. I always feel welcome when I walk in. You get a personal experience every time I’ve walked in.I’ve seen a lot of people commenting on the prices and how high they are, but I don’t understand the problem. It doesn’t look like much, but what people don’t get is that youre getting a substantial scope of ice cream. Also if youre unhappy with the prices, go somewhere else!All and all, Milkbomb has excellent ice cream and fantastic customer service.

We met the owners as they were closing the shop on a Thursday night. They were so nice staying open late just for us, and the ice cream was delicious. You can barely see the shop from the street, but definitely make a point to stop by. They segment their flavors from traditional to adventurous, so you can have it all.

Ice cream in donuts - what could possibly be better? I was afraid it would be only a novelty and not actually work well together but I was pleasantly surprised! They do something special to the donuts like press out the inside dough so it holds ice cream well. Does get messy though, so eat quick! Staff is super friendly and fun.

The desserts here are delicious and I recommend getting something a little bit adventurous for a bit of fun and also because they are tasty! Ive eaten here a few times and havent left disappointed.I especially appreciated that they gave me a moist towelette to wash up with because my donut treat was super sticky. 🍩 🙌

I made the mistake of ordering a pint of the birthday cake ice cream.. which I finished off in about 10 minutes when I got home. SO EFFING GOOD. Next time, Ill order a quart so it will hopefully last 15 minutes.

Great ice cream with lots of flavors to choose from that all sound amazing. The donut and ice cream combination works perfectly and they specially designed their ice cream to stay ice cold in the freshly warmed donut. The staff were very kind and helpful, even gave me some suggestions for toppings that would go well with my choices. The shop is small so plan on enjoying your ice cream outside in the courtyard.

Closed for the majority of the month, incorrect hours on Google, no hours on Yelp or the website. I hate when places care so little about their customers that they cant even be bothered to list accurate store hours anywhere. Guess Ill stick with Salt & Straw.I saw this place had great reviews and was open on Google/Google Maps (where most people look for business hours and directions). A 20min bike ride later, Im presented with a handwritten sign saying they were closed for the majority of the month with no details other than: look on Yelp for our business hours. So I go on Yelp to find their hours..... no hours are listed. I go to their website to find their hours, they direct me again to yelp....

Small and cozy side with nice outdoor seating, where we enjoyed our icecream. Amazing coffee flavor, I would totally go back for that, and great service. The texture was creamy and the sweetness level just right. The vanilla flavor was not out of this world but it was good enough. All in all a great icecream spot. I definitely recommend it.

Came here for donut ice cream. Split one with a friend since we were pretty full. But they make it so well and they cut it in half for you for easy eating, so that was nice.Got the Thai ice cream and ube ice cream. Both were wonderful! I got a scoop of ginger and a scoop of black sesame ice cream. Each flavor was individually delicious, and the combination was superb. The ice cream was very rich and creamy and the flavors were intense. Loved it.

Im not a huge fan of sweets, and all ice cream shops in the city all seem the same, but not Milkbomb. The red velvet and ube crumble donuts are amazing and the ice cream makes this desert very unique. Top it off with a favorite cereal or topping, great idea Milkbomb! The first place I will never say no to when my lady asks to go.

Great gourmet icecream with creative containers (like donuts!). Very small shop so expect a line. Also, if you dont see it when you drive by its because its set back from the street a bit.

This is a pretty new place. Only handful of ice cream / Milkshake shops in the area. I only tried 3 flavors from this place - the vanilla, the honey dew and the birthday cake. But there are so many types of ice creams to try and there is a blast of flavor with every bite. They also have 6-7 different kind of cones too. I went with the birthday cake one because I like the pieces of cake in between ice cream.My friend got the bomb sandwich (vanilla ice cream between doughnut). He was very excited about it and said it was pretty good. I will buy that next time if I find someone to share it with.I talked to the staff their, they were really friendly and told me about their business. They make their own ice cream and doughnuts and its pretty fresh.Definitely going back again to try their milkshakes.

Im short of words of how amazing this place is. Ive tried this place for the first time and Im simply blown away by their prices, their flavors and their customer service. I tried ube ice cream and fell in love with it immediately. This place has something for everyone- for people like who want a dessert not dripping in sugar you can try green tea and ube; and for those of you who really have a sweet tooth, you must try butter brickle. Overall, love it absolutely. Cant wait to have another cheat day to let myself enjoy this delicacy.

I only tried the purple sweet potato bingsoo and ice-cream, but I really liked both. If you like the flavor of Asian sweet potato and prefer your bingsoo NOT overly sweet, youll probably like it.Super cute ambiance and I think that the prices are worth it considering how much attention is put into everything that gets put out.

You see, its my job to go beyond just that. Milkbomb ice cream are definitely on par with Bi-Rite and other well established shops. Not only your basic flavors, but theyve exotic flavors as well. As for cones, there over a dozen to choose from with GF available too. I went with sugar cone and a matcha scoop. The flavor was intense and held up nicely despite warmer than usual temperatures​. This resulted in taste buds happily dancing in my mouth. What are you waiting for? Get going now!

This place was really good. We tried samples of the mint, strawberry cheese cake, ube, ube w/ coconut. I ended up getting the ice cream sandwhich which was a glazed donut hollowed out with Birthday cake ice cream on half and the ube on the other. I added lucky charms marshmallows to go on top. It was bomb. My fiance had the ube w/ coconut in a waffle cone. It was good too. It came to about $19 for both. Ill be back to try the other popular flavors. I like the concept of ice cream in a donut.

Its good. The ice cream has interesting flavors that are really strong like birthday cake, butta brittle, horchada, eggnog. Solid ice cream and good donuts too with flavors like red velvet, cinnamon, glazed. Toppings seem like a rip off at 50 cents each and you get literally like 5 corn flakes per half donut... In the end its exactly what your expect a good donut with good ice cream to be. Solid but not the best dessert.

Id give it a full five stars but the place is cramped and can get very tight and claustrophobic when it gets busy. Scooping ice cream, creating a donut ice cream sandwich, and cashiering is time consuming and can be a bottleneck when only one person is working. Two people is manageable but three should be the standard. They have a tiny counter area that it is best if you sit outside instead. What they lack in space is made up by the quality and amazing taste of their ice cream. Manila mango and Ube is spot on. They dont taste artificial and not too sweet at all. Natural tasting and ohhhh so good.

One of the best ice cream shops in the city, hands down. They have a decent arrangement of flavors, from your typical mint chocolate to more exotic flavors like mexican mango sorbet. You can also tell how fresh and real the ingredients are...its just that good.Hours are a bit wonky (esp their closing times), so double check that theyre open before stopping by. Free decent parking around the area and theyre right behind Philz. Check them out, you wont regret!
