The location is great... smack in the middle of the Haight. The service was excellent and the team went above and beyond to help my wife find a T-shirt she liked, and this isnt even saying how amazing the ice cream is, but we already know this!

If youre in the Haight, you really HAVE to stop in here, right at the famous corner of Haight & Ashbury. Theres gonna be a line, and youll struggle with the desire to get every variety in the store, but thats all part of the fun!

This Ben & Jerry’s is really just a tourist attraction now, so keep that in mind going here. Really, I just love their ice cream and their sociopolitical stance. I don’t love Unilever, but you can’t win them all.Keep being rad!

Its ice cream at a historic location, what more can you ask for?

The line moved quickly and the staff is friendly and helpful. They let us sample many flavors. The ice cream flavors were familiar from the grocery store and some we have not seen before. One of the attendants answered my questions about local history and pointed out a guide map on the wall. Some famous musicians have lived in this neighborhood. The corner street sign in front of this ice cream shop is lower down than the rest, allowing for a great picture to document your visit.

They have 2 non-dairy options as well as some sorbet. The ice cream is good and the people watching is great. 4 stars for ice cream, minus one star for not being the most organized location. But the service was great!

Personally I am allergic to dairy, so that means when it comes to ice cream places they usually dont have any ice cream I can eat, and if they do its usually some weird tasting fruit flavor. But at Ben & Jerrys they have some dairy free ice cream that is extremely delightful. Only downfall of this place is that it is kinda pricey.

Cool atmosphere, it matches the vibe of the street. The staff is friendly and the service pretty fast, the ice cream is delicious!! I always find these kind of shops a little bit pricey though

I love Ben & Jerrys ice cream and the variety of favorite flavors, but I dont get fancy with preparing it...I just eat it as is. Coming here, getting a milkshake, blew me away. This location definitely has a cool Haight Street vibe as well, with its decor. Recommended.

The place was okay. It was your normal grocery-store Ben and jerrys but set up like cold stone. It was about $6 for one scoop in a cup, and that price definitely wasnt justifiable. The whole pint costs that much in stores. If the service was good, that wouldve made up for it, but the woman working had no sense of professionalism or friendliness. She looked like she had never groomed herself, and she didnt smile even once.

I love this Ben & Jerrys! The staff are nice and I kept getting back in line on free scoop day. There are so many different flavors to try but they are all good! One of my favorite places at a notoriously hippie address.

This is definitely the place to come and get ice cream on a hot day in San Francisco. They have so many yummy flavors that it is sometimes hard to choose. But the service is super fast and the staff are super friendly.

When were in the Haight we always stop by here for a scope of something good. Last time I got schweddy balls, you know you had to order just because of the name. HA! They also have shakes if you want something cool to drink. The line moves fast, so even if it looks long, theyre efficient here.

Half Baked or Chocolate Fudge Brownie? Best ice cream in town. Taste super fresh and the area is awesome.

Getting a Cherry Garcia on the corner of Haight and Ashberry. That is about as iconic as it can get. It is still alive from the 70s and the people there are still living it. History was written here and now you can have an ice cream and watch the world go by. to much fun and way to many memories. Were you there? I was.

Ice cream is great especially their vegan options. I bought a 4$ lip balm that was suppose to smell like chocolate chip cookie dough and I was for sure let down. It tasted gross and I threw it away. Waste of $4 on the product but again, great ice cream!!

Best ice cream in Berkeley that Ive had yet. Loved the chicory coffee fudge swirl :) A lovely ambience indoors and Elmwood village just outside is a great place to walk around.

I live about 45 min outside of the city so this has only been my second or maybe third time at this location. Ill tell you what though, I cant say Ive ever had such fantastic customer service. I ordered an ice cream cake on a Thursday for the following Tuesday but there was some sort of miscommunication or mistake and the cake was only half made and forgotten about by the Tuesday I came in to pick it up. The supervisor was very sorry and called the manager who spoke with me while she was off work. She was also very apologetic and gave us many pints of non-dairy ice cream (my wife and I are vegan and ordered a vegan ice cream cake) for free. I was a little bummed when they said the cake wasnt finished but it really wasnt the end of the world to me. I figured Id just purchase 2 pints and call it good - my wife and I are not picky about these things and understand mistakes happen. But even while I was clear that I wasnt much upset, all the staff there went well above and beyond and made my wifes birthday one to remember.

Friendly, polite, and helpful staff every time I go. I also feel safe there after having an altercation between other individuals explode in front of us...it was handled swiftly, professionally, and carefully.

The greek frozen yogurt at the Fillmore jazz festival was smooth and creamy and delicious particularly the Banana Peanut Butter which tasted like a banana jammed into a Reeses Peanut Butter cup AND mixed with a creamy vanilla ice cream. It was an ice cream frankenstein of epic proportions!

I believe this is the first Ben and Jerrys. The offices for the entire citys ice cream stores are located here in the basement. So if you ever want some insider info (like where will the ice cream truck be during the next week), this is the place to ask.Alo, I love this place because the smell of fresh waffle cones almost overpowers Haights constant smell of pot and people begging for chain - almost.
